  • it looks like a plane -.- ....awesome bro can u make it fly ? ...

nice job btw :D u rock :D ....ur awesome at explaining things :D

  • this is . . . . preposterous, but I can't look away ; )

guess some dudes would rather play Dr. Frankenstein rather than play games . . .

  • piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiipppppppppppppppppppppp

  • dude i need to do the same thing in my gtx 460 hahaha.... only with a little oc (core 750mhz) and the worst cooler (by gigabyte twin force) start to smell like burn hey if i put more capacitors i can get more stability at the OC...where i can find the info to put more voltage and stuff....great job :)

  • @testdirver gtx 460 water block

  • @matty12345a1 I'll sell the GTX 460 and buy a evga or asus or ecs or ZOTAC GTX 560

  • "if we need to warm it up..." *FLAMETHROWER!*

    mfw flamethrower: 0_0

  • This is as hardcore as it gets. =0

  • Imagine if it breaks and he sends it in. The look on the people at Nvidia's face would be priceless.

  • passing this varnish?

  • i want to see him overclock 4 5970s like he did to this 1

  • @dzman1024 you can only have up to 2 5970s in crossfire as the dual GPUs are already 'crossfired' on the card itself

  • Are you Australian??

  • where do you get the money for this? D:

  • So what was the record with the single in Vantage GPU score and in 4-way SLI?

  • @mihapiha1 iv seen someone get like 60k or so with 4 way sli gtx 480s

  • @dzman1024 I can't raise my performance score anymore, My CPU limits the score too much... I'm stuck at around 47k.... So I'd love to compare with the SR-2, which I can't afford anyhow. But it would nice to see what it can do

  • Insane, loved it lol.

  • haha looks like a bomb :)

  • teee sted

  • pripped modded and tisted

  • Lol at ur accent my fellow kiwi

  • How did you go with the test?

  • the title is wrong. No Sr-2 or 4way. But the whole half an hour of modding the Gtx480 is an engineering lesson. 7 Ln2 pots will be 2 on the Xeons, 4 on the Gpus where is the rest going to be ? on Ram?

  • Anyone else thnk it looks like an IED the Taliban just planted in his house??

  • :O The cards look sooo nude!!!, I wish i Had another gtx470 so that i can sli that...

  • You now consume more power than China.

  • @cssftw100 ORLY?

  • Very informative vid, well explained

  • yay

  • hahahaha

  • dick smith soldering iron

  • haha gotta love the NZers

  • wonna chip bru?

  • a bru r u beached az

  • Cool accent bru, fish & chip sully cuz lol!

  • What the fuck? Thats a UD9 not an SR2!

  • I wouldnt dare do that to a GTX480 LOL

  • Wow , your the macgyver of computers! Even I kind of fail to see the point of this though. I know its all about benchmarks , marketing of PC parts and understanding things more. But when I need to use liquid nitrogen and a blow torch on my PC after smearing it in vaseline it goes a little beyond crazy... lol

But I imagine that system could run Resident Evil 5 at 100% max setting with like over 2,000+ FPS easily. But I know its not made to game. The upkeep is a little much for that.

  • @MrArrmageddon Why the hell would you want to run Resident Evil 5? fuckin horrible game to test graphics

  • @MrArrmageddon Understand your view point, but like alot of hobbies, it's what the individual enjoys doing.

  • @MrArrmageddon yeah bro resident evil 5 isnt that good with graphics, more like crysis warhead and shiz

  • NZ accent aye? Well NZ is near Australia which makes you semi Aussie and that is why I give you thumbs up.

  • this guys accent always reminds me of "bro town"

"yo do poos in the shower too....nice!"

  • Just wondering how ya stuck those heatsinks on? And what Uf are the Caps?

  • @zkjgrty Double-sided thermal tape, 16v 470Uf

  • VRAM is cooled via heat sink that separated when the cover was pulled. Note the pads (cover side) at around 4:08 for the memory.

  • ah nuuuu!

  • OMG That card is choice bro.

  • GT-Ex 480 lmao at new zealend accent thanks to beached as

  • @Muskickyoass Hahaha "beached as"

  • Does the memory not need cooling?

Thought it would since your overclocking it quite a bit..

  • @sasquatch9934 Eh memory very rarely needs to be liquid cooled, the dominator heatsink's should be good enough for what ever you clock them to...

  • @andyman210 I was talking about the ram on the video card, it has no heatsink or anything.

  • @andyman210 you be surprised once you work with DDR5. twice the speed of DDR3 modules (of course) and those tend to get warm when pushed over the 2000+ mhz range. but every bit of cooling helps

  • @sasquatch9934 You can do (use LN2 on them) but it's not really needed. Though that would look very cool, and bring the number of pots to nine, maybe one day I try that.

  • mm im confuse . the tittle says sr2 motherboard in 4 way gtx 480. and i see 1 video card and the gigabyte ud9 ?

  • @mixed123456 Watch the video, it's about his up coming overclocking comp. I assume he'll be using a SR-2 and he says he'll be using 4-Way 480's with liquid nitro~ cooling.

  • @mixed123456 This is preperation for the SR-2, he's going to make a video with all for 4 480's and an SR-2.

  • @mixed123456 This is pretesting the cards individually before heading away to do the full setup runs. All components need to be tested individually first.

  • yes it is how you take the heat sink off. I did just that

  • Dang thats a huge gpu chip .....i Did maintnance on a 9800 gt and the chip is nowhere near the size of that giant ....

  • @cisco760ca

What you see is the heatspreader, the chip is a bit smaller, but still big..

imo he should remove the heatspreader

  • omg, you can't solder :p But very nice video and overclocking!

  • note: this is not how you take a 480's heatsync off

  • Great stuff!

  • really really excellent vid deanzo.

best of luck in japan, cant wait to see the results, but you said 7 pots, i can only count 6?

  • @cavemanleet Thanks, yes seven pots. The SR2 needs one on the chipset as well in this conifguration.

  • uffff to japan :) New Zealand haha , Cool Video

  • just awesome

  • very nice man, did love the video from begin till end.

  • Wouldn't it be a good idea to sleeve those wires?

  • @andyman210 Wouldn't be a lot of use other then cosmetics.

  • @vearheart42 Ah, I see what going on, he's just pulling the already individually sleeved wires from the IDE cable and just cutting back the insulation.

  • @andyman210 No real need, they won't stay on for the long term, I'll take them off after I'm finished benching those particular cards.

  • Wow incredibly informative.

  • great job!!
