Hive is really an amazing game that every abstract strategy fan should at least try. The carbon design is especially beautiful. I can't wait to see it if it ever hits the 'real world'.
For the iphone/ipod touch Is a 2 player 2 device version in the works?

It's finally here, the Hive app. Been waiting for this for a while now as there was much talk about it. I've been playing this game everywhere for hours. I thought at this rate my girlfriend would leave me as I wasn't paying too much attention to her, although now she's hooked on it and she won't give me my iPod back. I suppose I have to buy her one for Christmas with the Hive app preloaded. Well done Lotusland and Gen42 for an excellent app.

@antonisus: Unfortunately the AI sucks big time. It's not anywhere near the boardspace Hive AI.

@albedoshader Yes that that might be true I suppose compared to the boardspace version, but you have to remember the iPhone/iPod infrastructure in terms of memory and power is not the same as computers when it comes to programming. Programmers struggle to get power out of those pods and are therefore limited to apps that can handle the programming. As the app is quite new, it will get better with every version. I'm not having any problems with it and I play Hive quite well.

@antonisus: That could be one major reason. I'd rather wait longer for the AI's turns if it made better decisions. Is there any Player vs. AI video on YouTube?

@albedoshader Not sure, maybe if you do a search someone may have posted a video, that's if it is possible to capture a game without using a camcorder.

Wow Hive for Ipod! HIve is a great game can't wait to play it on the go.
