This is a noble effort. Many westerners have no concept of how many MILLIONS of Russian Soldiers died in that war. They deserve to rest in honored places. It is the same for all soldiers the world over with only the shortest list of exceptions.

Russians never had dog tags but kept a small glass vile with details printed on it. The NKVD removed these from the dead after a battle. Why do you think that most of the soviet war dead are lying in unknown graves.
