Matt, can you please share a list with the names of the movies used in Cinescape 2006 and 2007? That would be greatly appreciated by all of us! Kind thanks and keep up the good work!
Drama movies are so touching, I just totally love them. Sitting on my sofa with coffee at night and watching movies, I could do that forever, it just never gets boring.
sunshine is by far one of the most underestimated films by the broad mass of people. It may not be at one stage with 2001, but mabye only on step below it.
2007 had a couple great movies for every month, whereas this year felt like...i dunno it just had a lot of good movies but none too great save for a few.
Into the Wild worked much better as a book than a movie in my opinion. You should really read it if you haven't. However, it was a great movie for being based on that source material just much better as a book.
there were so many 2007 films that are better. There Will Be Blood, Once, Juno, No Country, across the universe, zodiac, I'm Not there, etc....
This year?
Wall E and Dark Knight are prob. the only good films. MAYBE Slumdog, Changeling, Striped Pajamas, Wrestler, Revoultionary Road, and Che MIGHT be good but only a few have come out.
Sure 2007 was good but look in the right places and you'll find a lot of 2008-movies worth watching. Kind of have to defend it because I'm making a 2008 music video haha.
The only thing I don't like about the video is the ending. When Ellen Page is talking to J.K Simmons. I don't like the song underneath the dialouge. It would've ben great had you just left the song alone and let "Falling Slowly" play through.
But hey man your video was up on a national website so your doing something right. :)
what's the movie in 0:31??? does anyone knows??? is it cillian murphy with rose byrne or they are just in differents movies, cause am pretty sure the rose byrne shot was in 28 weeks later, and as far as i know cillian murphy was only in 28 days later not 28 weeks later, anyway...... somebody knows?
Would it possible to get a list of all the films featured? In particular, I'm curious as to the scene shown at 2:47, with the soldier with the sword (a katana, possibly?) on his backpack.
Fantastic montage, and having the song "Falling Slowly" in it was a great idea. Of those movies, No Country for Old Men would probably be my favorite, but there are so many others that were wonderful, too.
Well done, really - this is totally impressive. Obviously a lot of care went into it, and I commend you just for managing to gather all of these clips as much as I do for creating such a wonderful montage of the year.
I really love this vid. Watched it five times now sir, and the 2007 Action films. You should make one for comedy, THAT would be like a perfect trilogy.
Also, you should do these every year. I could see them playing this at some point during the Oscars. Good work
forget those people, the edits were perfect, they went to the beat and to the mood, very tricky but it worked. Despite the fact i havent seen a lot of those movies (slow movie seein year for me) it was still awesome.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Not bad, but not good enough. Too many edits - try to follow the feel of the song instead of cutting to beats. More emotional that way, plus cutting to beats always makes viewers more self-conscious. While there was a general attempt to match the intensities of the shots to the intensity of the song, the intensities didn't really vary all that much between the first and second half of the song.
Yes, I'm nitpicking. No, I'm not coming back to read what people think about it.
The song is Falling Slowly from the movie Once. It's the song that deserves an Oscar from the movie that deserves an Oscar. If you haven't seen it yet or bought the soundtrack yet, do yourself a massive favor and rent this dvd (I can't recommended this enough - just see it today if possible) so you can fall in love with it just like almost everyone who has seen it has already done. ENJOY!!!

The whole thing was great, but if you ever find footage that's all the same quality and aspect ratio -- think about redoing it?
Cause the moments with American gangster being fullscreen, faded, and IGN-logo'd took me out of it a little.
