How do you know if the ghost is stunned? Does it just float there like an idiot or does it fall to the ground? I'm pretty sure it's been stunned already and I've not realised.

Seriously, this game looks great; too bad the bugs and glitches....well it's unfinished state fucked it up. Anyway, it doesn't look like shooting that ghost is working! XD

There are not that many bugs. AoD just got a reputation as a bugy game, and people who havent played it through, think that its full of bugs ... so many that you cant even play it.

This is not true. The bugs are more like graphical bugs than bugs in the game. ... like Lara missing a leg in some levels, if you turn her in a certain position.

But hey, this was a complately new engine, what can you expect?

I genuinely believe this is a GREAT game, despite the fact that all I hear is the controls suck, it wasn't finished AND the bugs/glitches. The game's story ALONE is a reason to LOVE it! I saw the final battle with Eckhardt too (don't know if I spelled that correctly). That, in my opinion, was disappointing though.

Ok, am I the only one who thinks this boss is the easiest boss ever? All you have to do is shoot him a few times and just run and grab the painting. The hardest part of this game is actually the whole part before this boss.

Playing it first time, without knowing what the hell are you suppose to do with the ghost, or in the room in general ... this is the hardest part in ALL Tomb Raider games.

You always should first try stuff and only then watch/read a walkthroug.

Im able to beat it very quickly too. ... i kind of walk in to the room and pick up the "painting" and move on :P

to escape this freakin red hot ghost ~

1. go to the nearby the lightning portrait * i mean, the one lara's need to get on that level*

2. just duck.. then after he atk's you.. you need to shoot him with a gun 2x.

3. after he stuns* you can see if he is stun when he's not moving quickly go to the lightning portrait and get outa that room!

simple.. thats all.. *but soo hard when i get there 1st time*

There's no easier way to do it, cause the "light" on the statue changes place immediately when the ghost is NOT stunned. Picking up the "light" is the hardest part just because of that.

I think that the AoD was the last real game in TR series in which you had to try hard to complete it. It would have taken me ages to beat the demon if it weren't for your help. I remember how I reacted when first seeing it. I yelled a lot , tried everything, couldn't beat the damn thing. Plus, it sounds scary, it looks scary. My little sister had nightmares about this ghost for like a week.

I also remember the first time playing it and how it gave me the chills :O Lara also died very easily, not like in the new games.

what i did was i got as close to the painting, then i kept shooting red ghost until he was stunned, which lasted like 5 seconds, and that gave me time to get the painting. i did this all in less than a minute. but then again, i did this all on maybe my 5th try. haha

the easiest way to beat him - locate the blue light and stand facing it (be as close as possible), then duck and in this position shoot the ghost (when ducking, he doesn't harm you). when he stops for a moment, stand up, hide your weapon and JUMP to save time. but when you take the painting remember that he can be right behing you and kill instantly.

Its not impossible.

Try to crawl as close as you can to the statue where the "light" is, without making it disappear and stay there and shoot the ghost till it stops. Then stand up and go to the light.

Be really quick cause the ghost will stop only for a few seconds.

This is not the hardest part for nothing :D

What makes this ghostfight so difficult is, that Lara moves so bad when she has a weapon in her hands! She keeps running backwards and sideways even though I don't touch anything :/

Well, so when i said "This is the hardest part in all Tomb Raider games" it wasnt all bullshit :D

Anyway, you can try to look to your install folder, if the uninstaller didnt remove the savegames. They are usually in \TRAOD\SaveGame

Just re-install the game and you should be back in no time.

But If you dont have the savegames, you can download a savegame from Stella's site. .. always remember before doing stuff like that, just type game name and "walkthrough" on Google and you will find the answer :)

You have to shoot the ghost untill it is stunned cause you can only get the painting when the ghost is stunned.

Watch the video again and you will see when i tried to get the painting when it WASNT stunned!

Its no use to shoot him randomly. He will never die, not even with the correct way.

Try to watch again from 1:46

This is how:

first look for the blue glowing thing and go as close as possible, so that it doesnt disappear.

Now crouch, and keep an eye of the Red Ghost. Shoot him while you are crouched, so long that he stunnes. Its quite hard to see when he does that and its VERY short moment, but when he gets stunned, quickly go to the blue golw and press action to grab the item.
