It turned out great! I loved when it was down....updo cute too though. I want to try it, but the 3 hours under the dryer will kill me. I need to play around with more styles. I'm on a not heat challenge for now too.
I didn't transition...I just did the BC - cold turkey! If you want to avoid the bc...just cut an inch per month until the relaxed ends are cut off! Fortunately...I never had an issue with breakage! I always deep condition and moisturize with grapeseed oil...it works for me!
that is beautiful! i bet you got a ton of compliments! people pay money every week for someone to make their hair look like this. question... you didn't use anything in your hair once you rinsed out the mizani conditioner?
Honey your hair got a good pamper session...and it shows! I know what you mean about the different look, but this is cute! I'm sure you'll tweak the routine and have it perfect for your style diva!:) Thanks for sharing
Excuse me but do you usually wash out your conditioner? I actually purchased the kind you have after washing your video and I wanted to know. Thank you!
I partially rinsed out the olive oil (more than half was still in there) combing through the hair with mizani with helped remove a little more. Pond (the brand I used) is very thick and was hard to rinse out. So I partically rinsed out the olive out...I rinsed out the mizani completely.

I love the big look but I can understand you desiring a smoother look. I'm really glad that you realize some of the feedback you've received is actually intended to be be helpful and not hurtful or critical. Your hair is beautiful.
The important thing is that your hairs is moisturized and healthy! Luv the last due. I have been fighting the dry scalp due to the cold too. I ended up purchasing Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask now i'm golden. For now anyway.........lol:) Take care
first you are absolutely Beautiful and you are wayyyyy to hard on yourself you did not look like heck....i dang on love your hair.......i'm so confused about the whole numbering system because i see people saying that they're a 3c but their hair is tighter than yours so are you more of a 3a 3b?
It's pretty, but if you don't like it, just wrap it after combing out the roller set. the roller set will give volume and body. Once you comb out the wrap, it will be the way you like it.
I have styled my hair like this and I was able to tone down the fullness by wrapping it over night! Try that and see how you like that. Thanks for this great video!
Thats true...it is more work especially since you can get so many days out of your hair and it still have movement and life after a month! My hair would be busted and disgusted after 5 days bc not only do I have an oily scalp but I sweat A LOT. You can try the pine Apple to get more days out of it, usually gives me 3.
Thanks for sharing. My hair is usually the Farrah do.I'm not a fan, but most ppl compliment me on it. I'm trying to get the straight layered look like your 1st video. Still looks good though.
Thanks! I bought that cetaphyl today...I've been using the moisturizer for years, but I never thought to purchase the cleanser...I'm gonna try it for the first time tonight!
And I wish I had your hair texture!!! I think you're 3c pretty much everywhere and its a pretty fine texture, I'm 3c/4a some of its finer and silkier some of its kinkier and coarse :-( but I see what u mean
Thank you for that info...there are SO many products I can't wait to try for my wash and go! I don't do wash and go's often (for me) they are more maintenance than a rollerset! Roller set is a once a month ordeal, but a wash and go is a daily washing, condtioning, wetting, scrunching, gelling, curl defining routine!
I always use an herbal essence conditioner on my wet hair usually body envy or hello hydration then on top I use Eco styler gel...the one with organ oil works best for me. Rake it through don't comb cuz it will break up your curls more. Good luck!
if you want to get your hair straight, after roller setting without using a flat iron..you could do a silk wrap! just search it up here on youtube, ive seen many naturals do it with good results.
Your hair looks great!! I am doing a rollerset challenge myself, and yes, not using a flat iron can be tough. Thanks for the inspiration! I enjoy your videos because you are so real!
It looks good on u. All u need to do to cut down on the time rolling ur hair is try rolling it different ways (Mohawk method works for almost everyone) and invest in a different hooded dryer like a standing one. Those dry quicker due to the even heat. That way u won't dread doing ur hair. Ur a nice looking lady and I love the big hair on u.
I like the look. To help relax the curl, wrap your hair and sit under dryer for about 5-7 minutes. That will help. Also, you can try the saran wrap method. I have heard and seen the results and it can give you a little bit smoother look and the hair will lay a little flatter.
Great results..I love it!! I'm actually in my 3rd month of "no flat ironing" and I have to say it was pretty tough. But I made it and you will too. I can definitely see my results in my hair appears to be healthier. Good Luck! :)
it looks so nice, and the updo was so cute like a transition into night/date look,
so at the end the writing states it would last 2/3 weeks, what do u do to maintain it though, put the rollers back in each night, like how does the curls hold, i dying to try this routine out, great vid.
Looks wonderful! Also you can silk wrap your hair afterward to get the bounce straight look you like without flatironing, thought you may like that! Good luck on your challenge!!!
nothing about your hair says old lady its beautiful ppl spend tons of money on wigs weaves and going to the salon on something you have been blessed with naturally and did yourself at home!!!
It came out really cute. Have you ever tried a silk wrap? It will take out a lot of the curl but still has body if you don't want such a curly look. I use this method in place of flat ironing because the results are straight enough for me w/o the heat. All you do is wrap your hair after the roller set and put a layer of plastic wrap around your head and sit back under the dryer for 15 minutes. I'm sure there's videos here on it.
I love how you do not have any heat damage from flat ironing your hair. You take exceptionally good care of your hair. I have always been too afraid to keep my hair straight the majority of the time because I am scared my hair will become naturally straight even when wet. Thanks for the video.
the updo is cute .. i also liked it down as well don't knw what your talking bout... if thats an old lady hairstyle grammy would surely be a sexy chick lol... keep up the good work mama
you and your hair is absolutely gorgoeus, I'd love to wear my natural hair like this, but i don't know how to style it lol hopefully i will get the hang of it.
It looks really good.I watched the one where you flat ironed it too,and it came out beautiful both ways! And I love your background screen that you are sitting in front of at the end of this video :) Happy Hair Journey to you!
