Not saying the guy "isn't a real drummer" or anything... but you don't wanna know what this sounds like without a trigger system. Note: bass drums with no mics in em. I love this song but for a quick reality check: the drumming for this type of music kinda works like the US economy... artifically supported and one tiny error away from completely falling apart. That being said... that was badass.

@oaktubs well its not like he can play to his full potential every single show, im sure triggers just make it less stressfull and so you can actually hear him play. i've seen vids of his way old band and he plays fine without a trigger system. also technical death metal is in no way "artificially supported" its straight up raw theory and talent, but i can kind of understand where your coming from. anyways im not the expert on this, im not a drummer.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that these guys are fantastic musicians. But that had to be one of THE most boring live performances I have ever seen. Like, I understand the music is technical. But people aren't just paying to hear the music. That's what CD;s are for. They pay to see a performance. Just my two cents. @whisperinthesilence Actually some people don't care to see a performance. Some of the best bands in the world just stand on stage and play their shit. This type of music is mostly played in small and midsized clubs with built in atmosphere where the music usually sounds better and translates better. Don't need much of a stageshow at those gigs. Most bands look boring to me playing in the middle of the day on a big stage.

You should train those ears to pick up on more things like drums and rythm guitar not to mention the difference in the leads they use compared to necrophagist. I'm not saying that the're not similar, but the they're definitely not trying to be just like them. Far from "Wanna be's."
