@zskyhawk that's such a retarded comment in oh so many ways. First it's important to notice that the Tiger and the Apache are two completely different helicopters. The Apache is a heavy attack helicopter capable of carrying a bigger payload. The Tiger is a light attack helicopter with stealth capabilities and better agility. It's also fun to note that the Tiger is somewhat 15 years younger than the Apache.

In WWI there was already attempts to make stealth aircrafts, but the first was the Horten 229 in WWII made by the nazis....

i work in the german army aviation...so i work with the tiger...and yes we have problems with it at the moment...but till 2012 we will definatly go to afghanistan with it...and then we will see..for information..the tiger is not build to oprate like the apache...its build to operate from a long distance and has a reach of 340 km.double than the apache..i think a mixed corps of apache and tiger would be a great team in war....

Germany just cancelled theirs because they simply are not durable enough and war-prepared. Germany is actually going to be in command of about 50 US Army Apache's because of this.

We in the US should buy some-they've got to be more reliable then the Apache. The US Government has sunk a ridiculous amount of money into that piece of junk!

Well. US Goverment only pays for equipment that's made in the USA.

I don't think they ever will purchase any german products, though they might be better.

The XM-8 or the Hk416 are also much better then the M16 and cost 200$ less (per piece)

But as long as they are made in Germany they won't buy them.

rockets don't have recoil, and this heli has the most advanced stabilisation of any heli around-

you can take your hand off the controls and it wil stay level

You always get a little recoil but a rocket recoil is meaningless compared with a anti-tank missile. The worst is the Kh-25ML fit on the Ka-50 Blackshark. A (very) big anti-tank/light bunker missile which shake the chopper like a leaf on firing.

The Tiger does have more integrated and sophisticated systems like DASS and flight controls(FBW). Besides its the most agile attack helicopter in the world as you see. However the Apache is very good to.
