  • Voor de mense in belgië die dieze amp zoeken : 2dehands.be zoekertje 110597724

  • or at the least the settings ya frozen hot dog playing stool owner.

  • could have sounded so much better if he would have switched to the bridge pu when needed, and he wasn't such a stroked Gibson dry humper....switch guitars bro, for long demo's like this.

  • Mine is a 2007 model and I have been using with a JCM-800 side by side for almost 5 years and it's been a perfect match ever since!

  • Sounds like a monkey being violated by an ostrich

  • I just got one of these in a trade. As a TSL100 owner, I was apprehensive about getting a solid state, but I have to say this am is exceptionally good sounding for a non-tube.

  • is this amp only for on stage or is it also well for practicing

  • @ELSKYO normally transistor series amps are for practicing and valve amps for gigs but all depends on your ear, for me i prefer this one to practice

  • @ELSKYO It gets loud, but practicing levels can be achieved.

  • @jca3746 ok then i'm going to buy this one

  • does MARSHALL MG STOMPWARE work with this?

  • @Gateway4248 yes you can

  • can you use a MG100HFX on a 4x12 cabinet?

  • @Gateway4248 yes...

  • What model Gibson is this? Price tag?

  • Would this be good for Van Halen?

  • @Fernandez3995 Don't think so bro, get a peavey 6505 or a Roland Cube for that you need high gain amps for EVH.

  • @Macsk8ing the Peavey Vypeyr is able to produce Eddie's Brown Sound pretty well.

  • the amp can do blues....but can it do Metal???........and is it loud???? sorry for the dumb questions....but seriously...i need to know it looks like a reliable amp and it has an honest sound but i needs a amp that can keep up with a band and metal

  • @gokuhatake OF COURSE IT'S EXTREMELY LOUD!!!!!!!!

  • use bridge pickup, thanks...

  • @solacewalshulysses

Shitty guitar? Lmfao that's a nice Gibson lespaul asshat. It obviously isn't a shitty guitar if everyone famous has.at least one.

  • Give you a line 6 30 watt ;) hahaha

  • People keep saying this is a bad amp, could someone tell me why? I've been playing guitar for a few years now and I've never owned anything like a stack. However, I have played many within the Marshall range and I can get the sort of tone I look for out of this.Thinking of buying this to get me through the year until I can afford a Valve. Suggestions?

  • @mrnailz360 i think your thinking of the MG100HFX.

  • can you buy this amp head only, and save for a speaker?

because the web site says it's 100W, so my question is, it does emit sound right?

  • @Ahmidsviper You can buy the head alone, but it won't make sound by it's self. I like the cab that came with it. You can use any cab really as long as it is within rating of the amp.

  • @jca3746 True. I have this exact amp. I use it through the stock cab which I like, I use it through my Naylor cab some times and my Mesa cab also. just depends on my mood. I've used this amp onstage many nights and it never let me down.

  • you suck at guitar

  • @SolaceWalshUlysses since when are gibsons shit?

  • @SPLiiTSECOND Might I say...just because it's a Gibson, it doesn't necessarily mean it's a good guitar.

  • Besides your shitty guitar and guitar playing. Good Video. And umm fuck!

  • this, or the fender fronman 212r 100w?

  • @7ustice *Frontman

  • hey can you get a middle speaker for this?

  • I just bought this cab but I use a ibanez head. The cab is absolutely amazing.

  • Should I buy this???

  • @brecht787 nonononono save up and get a tube amp..dosnt matter if its a small combo just mic it

  • @brecht787 Hey, I have one and I honestly don't understand why people are against the 100hdfx cause It sounds amazing. I can dial any tone that I want.

  • @jca3746 It's a good amp. Don't worry about these trolls. When one of em comes up with a video that features them sounding so much better, maybe. I doubt they even know how to plug an amp up. Keep jammin Dude!

  • I`m getting that amp :D but are you a a7x fan? xD one part on what you played on the clean sounded like end of Sidewinder

  • Nasty transistor distortion...

  • i never what to sound like that!!

  • great amp and nice playing

  • what is the sound difference between having a combo and a stack?

  • that sounds great!! but how much does this amp weigh?

  • i wasnt even paying attention to the amp, just how cool those licks are

  • @TheStormtrooperr First, this amp is not digital, its solid state which is just as much analog as tube... and second, yes any cabinet will work assuming that you have the correct Ohms impedance output on your amp head.

  • he's using a gibson guitar and a marshall amplifier....he is not a wanker lol

  • help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!can the speaker cabinet work on both digital and tube heads???

  • help!!!!!!can that speaker cabinet work on both tube and digital heads??

  • can someone tell me why no sound comes from this amp when i plug it into the input jack... for some reason sound comes out only when I plug it into the "cd in" jack... please help

  • TheParticulars love your riff's, are they from a song or did you make them up?

  • I have a pretty sucky guitar because of financial problems and I play on this amp. I play gigs with it.

  • is that a gibson traditional?

  • personally a jack hammer sounds nice going thru one of these

its basicaly a jcm900 sound i think i could be wrong tho but its sounds awesome!

  • what les paul are u using

  • What cabinet? (:

  • @Rogiercover mg412a

  • @Rogiercover i think mg412A

  • switch to the bridge pickup!

  • @TheCarnivoreJ Thanks for mentioning that, I was going to say, my z wylde mg marshall blows this shit out of the water with my hellraiser ya buddy, lmao mg marshall blow big black dick might as well play a vox no distortion at fucking all. im not making fun of marshall marshall does have good amps but mg is not the series.

  • FUK THE AMP!! how much for the LES PAUL???!!!!!!

  • @MrTattoogun ibanez rg is best

  • @tutallica nononono... It depends if you're talking about the PRESTIGE edition ot the Rg Tremolo series... The Tremelo series is best suited for beginners and intermidate players, Prestige is more suited for intermediate and pro-ish. RG isn't the greatest because if you compare the whole RG line to the LP line... I'm sorry, but in price, the gibson LP line isn't as affordable. RG is good but if you've got the money and skills, the Gibson LP line is the choice to make... My opinion...

  • have you sold it yet?

  • Good video, but no severe near the guitar, the sound of the strings and amplifier together is not good

  • thinking about buyin one of these. how distorted is it.

  • @trojansfn2 good enough, since i love Slipknot, i use a BOSS ML-2 metalcore over it but, amp distortion is like ACDC to Avenged Sevenfold...

  • @AwakenChannel im sorry but metal core pedal is horrible and yes i have played one, i own one

  • i know nothing about amps, but im looking to buy one... so far ive only had a basic 15 watt practice amp.... im looking at this one, it costs £230 for the amp head... can you play with just that? or do you need a cab aswel?

  • @motley0crue12 you need a cab as well, the head doesn't have any speakers!

Search second hand, you should be able to get the two together ;)

  • @motley0crue12 Before anyone else insults you for saying that, ill tell you. The amp head is basically the top half of your practice amp, the cab is the bit with the speakers. You need to buy both, the amp on its own wont make any noise.

  • @trialsjames unless you use headphones but weres the fun in that eh ?!

  • @afabandjon True say!

  • Nice playing dude... ;p, whitch songs?? 0:38, 2:20

    and others? =p

  • what about the phraser

  • is it good for metal?

  • @EddieRowan NO! This amp has NO gain on the lead channel... It sounds like shit. Buy an Ibanez tone blaster if you want a good, cheap metal amp.

  • @Anarchyffan cool, thanks for the heads up

  • @Anarchyffan

im thinking about buying this but what if i have my own distortion like my BOSS metal core pedal

then would it be alright for metal?

    ex:Megadeth,Slayer,Metallica,Iron Maiden

  • do you need a cab or can it work with just the head?

  • how much for the head and cab together

  • @trevwagner094 at guitar center its like 700 dollorson sale

  • @metallica19980208 600 now : D

  • you know what i think if you can't afford a tube full marshall stack then buy this in a full stack. Screw all u richies thatr saying buy a tube. yeah they sound better but u know what shut your mouth. And thankyou for the video on it.. I'm buying this in a fullstack within the next couple months. aGAIN SCREW ALL YOU THAT HAVE NO RESPECT for the ones who cant afford a tube. listen dumbass's dont you think that if we know that and could afford one we would all buy one.

  • @buckshothuff Once again, I urge you to check out a few other amps that are the same price or cheaper. Just because it says marshall, that doesnt make the amp good. Im not bashing cheap amps because there are good cheap amps, but this is just not a good amp for the money. I've owned one.

  • @theleetman thanks for the advice.

  • I think it would be in everyone's best interest to stay away from this amp at all costs. The only thing its ok for is the clean channel at low volumes. IT WILL NOT CUT THROUGH ANYTHING IF YOU PLAY LIVE IN A BAND. Its very trebly and weak. Its more of a glorified practice amp than an amp you can play live with. Line 6, crate, and the peavey vypyr are all better if you need a cheap(in price) Solid state amp. Or save up a few 100 bucks and buy a bugera or a used peavey

  • My Marshall MG50DFX is an awesome little amp, so whenI buy one of these I know I'm not gunna be disappointed. Im getting this exact model , not a newer one though.

  • @FutureKubrick Please don't. Ive played guitar for going on 6 years, I'm 19 and play in a band I'm here to tell you to not waste your money. Im not here to bash solid state amps because some do sound really good for the price. This is not one of those amps. You will not be playing in a decent sounding band with this amp. Just trying to give you a warning.

  • @theleetman I probably won't now. I'm looking at the Bugera amps now they've got one called the 1960. It's a nice little head designed like the older Marshalls, but the only problem is the amount of mixed reviews on Bugera. If I don't go with them I'll get a Laney half stack.

  • @FutureKubrick I would personally say thats an excellent choice. The tone is far better than other amps in its price range. The mixed reviews came from the initial shipment as they had a few reliability problems. Since then they've really stepped up their QC so it hasn't been an issue. Ive played through the 333xl and I have nothing but good things to say about it so I'd imagine the 1960 model is good as well. My best advice would be to try one out in your local music shop. Good luck!

  • @theleetman That's great advice man. It's better to go to a shop rather than order online so that I know I'm getting the newer version rather than an older one. Awesome. Thanks man :)

  • get tube amps

  • I was lucky enough today to play a 1969 super lead 50w with a 64 bassman head and crank it to 10 with a les paul special and jam with the store owner... and let me tell you if you havent already TRY IT nothing compares

  • NICE DEMO

  • did you already sold it?

  • Mg Sucks!

  • PLEASE HELP!!! Can I use LaneyLX35R (combo) as spekar for this head . Please answer as fast that you can. I dont wanna broke my new head -.-

  • Comment removed

  • Can't speak for this model but the avt50x puts out some great sounds.

    *Check my demo.

  • i need to know does this amp start to turn shitty when u crank it up

  • can you please help me?

    ihave this amp.

but ithink a fuse went out.

where is the fuse box at?

    can you please respond.

    as soon as possible!

    thanks

  • @gir683 Do you still have a problem?

  • enough of the clean bring on the metal dammit!!!

  • The MGs are not "great" amps but they work. I can't transport my laney VC30 to gigs all the time so occasionally there have been times where i've had to use an "in-house" amp which is often the MG100DFX combo. I hated it, but i made it work well enough - that's not to say that my VC30 isn't 100x better... but the MGs can do the job. my only gripe is that the 100 watters sound exactly the same as the much cheaper 10 watt version - surely when you pay more, you should be getting a better sound...

  • Sounds good, clean and distorted....thanks

  • I've heard some very ba things about these. Check the (user) reviews on sites like MusiciansFriend, Zzounds, Guitar Center, an Harmony Central. They're advertised as being almost as good as the Marshall tube amps, but don't fall for that because solid state amps are not as good as tube amps.

  • @pyromaniainferno i wouldn't say all tubes are better than all solid states. honestly it depends on what kinda sound your going for i think. my friend has a JVM 900 or whatever and he bitches all the time cuz it doesn't get as good a medal sound as my Randall does.

  • guys, whatever these dipshits tell you:

this is an awful amp. I know very well, I've had lots of amps from 500 to 2000 dollars. trust me and save your money for some more amp. the amp makes 60% of your sound!

  • which head is better

    a MGHDFX or the MGHFX??

  • im 16 and i have the 04 model of this and i think the crunch on this is getting worn out, if you knwo what i mean, it doesnt sound brand new at all, and if i put like metal pedals or effects pedal on it, it sounds like crap, any way to fix the over drive and the crunch channel on it, i wish mine would sound like it were brand new

  • @ABigMuffin this thing just sounds like crap.

  • dont you think you should learn how to play guitar before you get a half stack,,lol,,horrible playing

  • @corybiro lol and hes gotta les paul

  • @corybiro WTF? horrable playing? are you fucking deaf?

  • is this amp good for a show or even a concert?

    how loud is it?

  • @FullmetalFan500 my friend is in a band and he has the pruple version of this and he bnought this brand new and it sounds amazing, very good for concerts, but for him he just threw in a overdrive pedal to get more of it, but you dont have to though

  • Marshall makes good solid state amp.. it just sounds a little compressed, I mean you're gonna used a pedal for a tube amp anyway, which at times can sound too full with too much sustain

  • A great guitar player can make any amp sound good.

So if you still sound like shit through this amp you probably suck, a Marshall JCM800 isn't going to make you any better.

  • @FuryoftheSound not true. Having an amp needs to feel good. IF you're a good guitar player, you'll sound good with anything, BUT when it's the right amp with the right sound it all fits together. It actually can make you sound better.

  • @FuryoftheSound Well no.

My line 6 sounds as cheap as any beginner.

If Steve Vai had a spider his tone would be just as bad as mine.

The only way you can make an amp sound good is by really detailed editing in your picking style.

  • @liamzuid i agree (:

  • @liamzuid

It depends on how you want to look at it. If Vai had a Line6 he would figure out the pros and cons of the amp,and use the pros to his advantage, while leaving out as much of the cons as possible.

  • @FuryoftheSound Yes but every drive channel sounds to soaky and spongy.

  • @FuryoftheSound Yeah, and that's great players play through good amps! A good guitarist can make any guitar sound good but it'll sound like total shit without good amplification.

  • @FuryoftheSound haha true. this mg in the video is my baby it is great. i have tube amps too but i love having this head for metal i use it as my liugthing metal amp. sounds great in the right hands.

  • where can i get the footswitch?

  • shit....

  • Ok I am in a band and our other guitarist uses a Marshall jcm 800 from the 1980's and I have this amp and use it along side his. When playing together with the amp cranked the way it should be played to get a great sound this thing sounds pretty damn close to his jcm 800 I mean yeah his is tube and yes you can hear the crunchier tone a bit more so and a bit more warmth but for the price this thing sells at its an amazing amp hands down and has no problem what so ever keeping up with a jcm 800.

  • best gear combination ever gibson n' marshall

  • whats the gain on the clean channel in the beggining? because when mines anywhere past 3/4 it sounds like its clipping,or it might just be a tad bit of gain.idk, but its really annoying, its prob my cab

  • i have the new version :)

cool amp! but.. can i make a better overdrive when i use a Crybaby? or.. 125€? :P

  • if anyone is dissing on marshall fuck off all there amps rock

  • i dont know why people hate it, it´s a good amp

  • yeah but if you can't afford a tube this things kills the Entry Level band stand and processor like um.. haha cough digitech sound amazing through these throw in a cry baby and a badass guitar and you got a pretty nice setup without going effing penniless and bat shit crazy trying to pay your bills cause you got a loan on your property to buy a tube lol

  • what strings are you using? really like them

  • hi,this marshall is a good amp? i don't know if i buy one of this ^^

  • I just bought this head from my friend, and to be honest i prefer the sound of this to the other two heads I have. I had a Peavy Valveking 100, and the Vox digital one, i cant remember the name. In my honest opinion this head sounds like crap when its at a low volume, but when you crank it and play it the way it's supposed to be played it really can blow you away. I love this amp head very very much. [Ibanez XPT700/Ibanez RG5EX1 custom - MG100HDFX - Marshall 1960a/b]

  • sell me your guitar ; )

  • you guys gotta understand that this a 100w amp. point blank is that loud amps like this don't sound good unless they are LOUD! i'm sure he doesn't have the volume up that high for this video. Besides, you can't really tell how an amp sounds unless you play it yourself. Great demonstration tho.

  • is not such a bad amp

  • Marshall MG4 Series MG101FX 100W 1x12 V.S Line 6 Spider IV 75W 2x10....... which would be better for like a metal sound?cuz im bying either one of these two but im not sure.. which one would be better.. anyone got facts or opinions? :D

  • @hydralisk3313 idk i use my marshal for metal but your best ber would to go with the line 6 but with all my experences lol this sounds cheep but honistly love the sound ofg berhingers but the shity thing is there noob amps so u can get the amout of sounds as any of these amps

  • @Deoblo61369 oh ok thanks bro :D

  • ive used this amp through an Ibanez rg fixed and an ESP eclipse loaded with EMG's, it does a good job for someone who plays a lot of metal. so if your into metal, and you dont wanna spend a lot of money, this would be something to consider checking out.

  • Kick ass guitar! And awesome sound!

  • mmmm this amp it's more than enough, it's not the amp, it's no the guitar, what really matters its who's playin':D

  • this amp is amazing for the price about 200$ plus tax for the cab and like 380 plus tax for the head, pretty fucking good deal

  • Stop saying that this amp sucks! If you by this amp with super high expectations thinking that it'll be like the more expensive Marshall tube heads than you'll be disappointed, but if you accept that it's a solid state and it's not gonna compare to those higher end tube models, than this amp really ain't that bad.

  • @DeathMetalAngel123 the Marshall MG100HDFX HAS BEEN CALLED

by many guitarist the solid state JCM800 and i also agree with that.

most people who complain eaither dont play guitar or dont know how

to use a amp period. they just run there mouths to here them selfs talk

and at the same time putting there foot in there mouths.

  • Lol i've never ever heard someone say its a solid state jcm 800... I've heard it been called shit because it is.

  • @ruffles272 FIRST OFF LITTLE MAN YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO PLAY GUITAR befor you can use ant amp. second i have seen and read on many sites

this amp has been called the solid state JCM800. AND I PERSONALY KNOW 3 PRO

guitarist who use this amp along side there tube marshalls and you can not tell the differnce. shit amp? I DONT THINK SO PAL may be you are just a shit guitarist!

  • woah man chill out its personal opinion. And if ur talking about my eruption cover, then i did that in like five minutes because people were begging me to put me playing guitar online, so back off, you have no right judging someones guitar playing that you've never actually seen. If you like it, i have no business telling you you don't, but i'm entitled to my opinion as well.

  • @DeathMetalAngel123 ya man,,i have a line 6 spider 3 half stack,,the fukin thing blew up in 9 months of owning it,,so im getting this amp instead would u say this marshall is better sounding than the line 6,,,i totally hated the line 6,,,serious,,garbage

  • @corybiro I've only messed around with it at guitar shops in town, but I like it better the Line 6 I had at one point (Spider III--30 Watt). I spent around two hours in the store just trying different EQ settings and it can get a really good sound. Hope I helped and I hope that you will enjoy it when you get it. I'm currently saving up for either a 5150 head or a JCM-2000 TSL 100 haha.

  • @DeathMetalAngel123 Do you mean: **then** this amp really ain't that bad. ?

You spell like this amp sucks.

Just kidding, I like this amp for what it is too. I had an AVT50 Marshall and I loved and say it's an awesome amp. But, I love my Orange a little too much now.

  • @BritaniaRuleAgain Haha. Yeah, I've only fiddled around with this half stack at guitar shops--even to this day haha. But since then, I've gotten a Bugera 333XL head with a Randall RX412 cab that I use most of the time and a little VHT Special 6 Tube combo that I use for blues. =]

  • @DeathMetalAngel123 i know, my parents got me one for christmas that was used for $330 and it rocks

  • I want to buy this amp used and i'd like to knwo would it be worth the 325 for the full stack used?

  • yeah thats a good deal but the amp isn't very good. I bought the half stack used and it was ok like the distorion sucks and the clean channel isn't very good either. i'm trying to sell mine now to buy a fender or a vox.

  • @nickusa317

    VOX RULES!

marshall clean channel i dont like ir because it is very dirty!

and o/d channel is way too much dirty!

if u want a very clean distortion...and a heaven clean channel...try with fender.

Vox amps are clean...pretty awesome clean...and the distortion is dirty but is very understable...understand me?

    xD

    good luck

    i´d recommend vox ac30...twin...2x12 15 watts speaker...

  • So, from what i hear, this wont be an upgrade from my Line 6 Spider IV 75watt?

  • Marshall MG's fucking suck.

  • i use this amp,i have the special edition grey one, no pedals just a cry baby and i use a 71 tele and i get great jimmy page tone from it so im sick and fucking tired of people saying this amp blows cuz i got it dialed in and im 14!! sure its nothing like a tube but if you work with it you can get it to sound pretty good so stop fucking complaining about this amp. my opinion any young guitarist looking for a good amp buy this amp just take the time to get it to your liking :)

  • how do u think it would sound with a digitech rp255

  • @ihaveawesomevids my buddy has that pedal and i used it once with this amp i didn't really mess around with it i just used it for the wah but i think it'd sound just fine threw this amp its a great pedal

  • @ihaveawesomevids

    awesome...awesome...

    my cousin has a 15watts fender...squier strat...and digitech rp255...

    sounds very nice...

and a friend has a marshall mg100fx...with digitech rp255 and an epiphone sg...awesome!

  • @Jimmypage198765 trust me...once you play a decent head you will realize that it DOES BLOW.....try to turn the volume loud enough to play with a drummer and all you tone flies out the window....i used to own one....so dont tell me im wrong, i used to have your exact opinion...now i use an all tube head.....also your 14 which means u suck...lol, jk on that last part.....TO THE GUY IN THE VID, YOUR TONE IS FIZZY AND LIFELESS!

  • @mopheadthe3rd tone is such a broad term.. a good tone can come from any amp, its all opinion. i happen to own a solid state amp and i have played many tube amps and i feel that the solid state can compete very well with some high end amps. and in some cases, sound better.

  • @mopheadthe3rd FUCK YOU. a starting out guitar player doesnt need a fucking tube head you dumbshit. all you need is an amp and a fucking guitar so stop pussyshitting about "this tone sucks".

  • @Jimmypage198765 i agree. I am the same age and have this same amp and it sounds great. it does its job and sounds fine. anyone who sais this amp is crappy obviously has never used one so stop being ignorant.

  • @Jimmypage198765 I highly agree with you. I dont use this amp any more for obvious reasons *cough 5150* but when i did use it i had it sounding pretty close to a tubed amp. Most young players dont know how to really EQ an amp therefor shitty scooped muddy tone. I had the contour at 10 or 11 gain prolly up all the way lots of mids, less treble and moderate bass. let me say this was a fucking metal/hardcore monster for the price. thing is its way to sharp to the ears at high volumes.
