why dont they do 45mph thats how fast every one goes on the roads anyways also they should do high speed crash test too at least up to 65mph or 55 mph

@ChrisBennett18 It's because crashes above 40 are extremely rare, on a highway with 55-65 mph, it is extremely unlikely one will hit another, and even then it would be like carelessness, one guy going 50, the other guy going 60, and its a 10mph impact from the rear, it just doesnt happen, giving 100 mph as a highway extreme, and 60mph being the average highway speed, this test will account for that too, a front on collision of 2 60 mph cars gives a closing speed of 120 mph, nothing survives.

i never said anything that have to do a rear crash test all i want if they are willing to do 45 not 40 because most of the road i drive on is 45 or 50 and thats mostly it

@ChrisBennett18 I'm saying, it's just extremely unlikely a front end crash that fast occurs, and if it does, it's almost garunteed death, The human body just cannot cope with that, maybe in 25-50 years we we will have advanced enough to be that safe, but its not now, the best we can hope to prevent death with right now is a 60mph crash against a wall, not a front on, closing speed=speed of 2 cars combined, with that kind of closing speed, nothing lives,60 mph crash tests are used,just not here.

@ChrisBennett18  this is meant for 65mph, because by the time you see you are in deep shit, you would press the brakes and hopefully be traveling at less than 45mph at impact.

I have a 2000 Kia sephia and its awesome!!! It rides beautifully great on gas all kia parts are in auto zone and hell never blew a transmission. Only problem we ever had was the alternator but it was easy to find. And when my mother got into an accident with it she flipped the other car(it was a ford.dont know the model though)I only drive cars from Kia because they're awesome!

Drove a Kia rental and its is surprisingly GOOD! I'd choose a Kia rental over any other Toyota or American make. My daily drives have been a Honda Accord, BMW 525i, 330ci, Merc CLK320. And sure Kia ain't luxury, but damn it blew my low expectations away.

So don't be quick to criticize! Drive one before making any judgments

It is hard to get parts for a Kia from anywhere except from dealerships.

There are also complaints from mechanics that, internally, they are rather cheap.

Mind you, they certainly have gotten better than where they were just a few years ago, but I'd still not buy Kia or Hyundai at least because of the difficulty and expense of obtaining parts.

The commentators below should know that this car scored "good" which is the highest possible rating - and that was the '05 version. The updated '07 version scored higher then the BMW 5 series, Mercedes E-class & Cadillac STS in the side crash test. Check the IIHS site.
