does it actually idle on its own and run like its supposed too. Mine has the factory chip and it run rich and misfires. Which computer are you using?

Sorry for not replying sooner. I'm using the 7747 ECM. It idled very poorly until I did the IAC reset and adjusted the TPS voltage. To do this I used WINALDL. In hindsight, getting the ALDL cable for a laptop and running WINALDL seems like an absolute neccesity for a TBI conversion and if I were to do another one some day I would simply factor it in as a required cost of the project.

did you use the factory gm chip or did you get a custom chip?
