I think the things wrong with the US version of the office:

The equivalent of Tim is too conventionally good looking.

The equivalent of Gareth is too caricatured.

The idea of the documentary has dispersed. The cinematography hardly represents a documentary now and because of the lack of realism it was hardly there in the first place.

The only good thing is steve carrel.

Im american and the UK version is so much better.

I find the original version boring and a lot of times offensive when I watch it, but that's just my opinion. The US version of this show is dumbed down to such an extent that the dark humour and political incorrectness is non existant.Ricky Gervais & Steve Marchant the original writers and characters of the UK show were behind the launch of the US version which when aired in the UK, only lasted 1 series before it was scrapped by the BBC. (The home of the original). The Uk show was a breath of fresh air when it was first shown in the UK
