  • Princess Royal (song #1) and Portsmouth (song #3) are both songs I learned the dance to when I was in Wales. We're playing this right now in our winds ensemble, and I very nearly cried when we started into Princess Royal.

  • this song is so hard... but I love it.

  • SO CATCHY

  • fluteeeee! <3 im playing this in band right now im 4th chair flute and i loveee it <3

  • @Canolad Most American marches are quicker than British marches. But the band playing a march can play it at whatever tempo they like.

  • I love the piece, but I can't help but feel that the group performing is playing a bit slow. British marches are generally faster.

  • @Canolad British marches are only fast because Americans play them stupidly above the marked tempo. :P

  • @Tangeh

I wasn't aware only americans had the right to musical interpretation... don't be so pretentious

  • @Canolad Shut up people can play it how they want.

  • I mean @Tangeh sry

  • The euph part in this song was just amazing

  • YAY euphoniums!!!!!

  • The Euphonium part at the beginning and the solo were my favorite parts.

  • MOAR EUPHONIUM SOLO.

  • @Asbduhas There's a euphonium solo?! Our Euphonium player sucks...no wonder I haven't heard him... >.>

  • @UsagitheBassoonist Yeah it's around 1:04

  • Playing this in band now! I love the british marches.

  • Just played this at an honor band. Awesome piece.

  • Finally found it, huh? Love this piece, my favorite Vaughan Williams piece, even over Folk Song Suite. Portsmouth is just amazing.
