The name "Crispi" or Crishbi" is still used especially by old men and women in Misurata, the area includes Tamminah and Al Karareem. Many farm houses built by the Italians which appear on the video are still exist in Tamminah, and some of them are still used as stores or animal barns.
Ther's an old libyan proverb which say "Like the old lady of Crispi's" which is used to refer to a very old woman.
The video shows the central part ( the main square) of the agricultural village named "Villaggio Crispi" built in 1938. About 10-15 km South of Misratah. The farm were located east of Crispi near the village named Tumminah. For what I know the name should be remained the same at least on google map. Video has been recorded between 1950 and 1957. Update or correction are welcome. Also pictures or even a video of today are appreciated. Others video from that period are coming.
