@EricCartmen17 It'll make you jump, and it should only scare you if you're squeamish. The game itself isn't too scary, but the plot and the idea behind it are. The most that happened to me was I got really, really tense while in some fight scenes. And I liked the first game more, mainly because the second game had the disadvantage of being compared to the first one. So if you're only to get one, I'd DEFINITELY recommend the first game. Both games are fantastic, though.

Well, in the fact that the big hype for the game series is its horror, people were expecting too much from the horror aspect of Dead Space 2 than the gameplay and overall story. Which of course caused more haters and trolls to bash the 2nd one only how "it wasn't that scary" and therefore trying to convince people that the entirety of the game sucks. The 2nd one changed things that shouldn't have been. Maybe they'll learn that when making DS3.

one of the creepiest but greatest games i have ever played. if you watch the movie even though its a cartoon u figure out how it all started but i agree with whom ever said they need to make it a REAL movie not a cartoon that would make bank and it can be great. Who knows maybe even one of the scariest movies of all time. I would love to see that, great job by EA and the others.

@hk55pinkfloyd I really don't think that it would work as a movie, although it is one of the greatest games I have ever played I don't think they can make the same uncomfortable feeling in the movie that you had while playing the game. Also it is such a massive story it would have to be told in multiple movies, so if the first didn't make a lot of money then they probably wouldn't do more.

Making the movie into multiple parts could be a good thing though if i do say so myself because if like you said notice how long the story is, for how many parts they would have to make who knows. But if they end them in a bang for every part it can keep people in suspense after all i believe this game does inflict that upon the players as the story progresses.

Well they don't HAVE to explain the entire storyline through the movie, I mean, the Dead Space universe is slowly expanding, having already a number of games, comics, books,... The movie could also be another... part of the storyline.

I agree on the fact that the movie can never pull you in as much as the game(s) did. Pretty logical, I mean, you ARE Isaac.

I liked Dead Space Downfall as a movie, but not as a Dead Space movie because it didn't feel like Dead Space although it was the same story, you know what I mean? I would be all for a movie but only if they could make the audience feel as uncomfortable as they possibly could without making people want to cry and run out of the theater screaming.

Making the uncomfortable feeling is really what dead space is all about, being alone, being nervous, and getting scared to hell. Except you are right about the people running out of the theater screaming and stuff, sooo i mean i think its a mixed with all types of different concepts to the story that makes dead space so great but for some people like you said they may be too terrified to even watch it.

This would be a possibly billion dollar movie to make, just like Bioshock would be, however, ive been hearing that a Bioshock movie is still in the works, hopefully they won't destroy the series by making it a movie. We'll just have to wait and see i guess.

@hk55pinkfloyd The thing is they already have the designs so they wouldn't have to start from scratch, but they would have to make them look like they are actually there. And I also just do not see this ever happening, because they would have to find someone who has a great respect for the franchise, and already knew some of the key mythology around it, and I just don't think anyone really has the guts to try this because if they screw up the fans would be extremely pissed.

the reason why Deadspace one is prolly more scaryer(imo) than Deadspace two is cause your achuly alone and there isint mutch talking and its dark as fuck in pritty mutch the whole game in a abandon spaceship while in deadspace 2 its more brighter and there are alot more characters so you dont fell completly alone or helpless there are only a few areas that makes me shit my self expetioly chapter 10 but DS1 hands down whole game it maid me freak out its an awsome game if you havent played itgetit
