  • I wanna buy that!! I want the tone of the amp and the sound he created at 2:19 that was just awesome! It sounds so natural, no digital sounding or anything that degrades the guitar's sound. I've been trying to achieve that kind of tone. This is one great amp.

What's the brand name of his guitar?? Not the tele one.

  • @whattheheckisthat12 it's an Ibanez SA i think D:

  • Will anything happen to the amp if I add a bit of tube screamer on the drive channel? Like amp drive: 8, tube screamer: 3-5 or less

  • @Aniputs It will howl!

  • Sounds sweet

  • i keep starring at his kneee >.>

  • is the section from 1:50 improvisation?

  • @tony642321

sounds like andy timmons - electric gypsy

  • can't hear the natural dissemination because of the clipping, but I'm already sold on the Laney head that I want...

  • Did he say both channels share the same controls?? so no separate controls for the drive and clean channels?? thats useless in'it. now we have amps with 3 channels with their separate controls, this amp is still in the stone age!

  • @Eraj1979 what is useless for my opinion is 3 channels with 3 eq and a million buttons and switches. There are preferences nothing is useless.

  • @Eraj1979 so what are you doing, if your 3-seperate-EQ-amp sounds crappy?? Amps are about good sound and nothing else. Why a seperate EQ, if you don't need it? That would only make it more expensive.

  • wow...nice sound...reminds me richie kotzen tone

  • very good

  • @BED25029

These amps are brilliant value and sound superb. Much better IMO than comparable more expensive Marshalls.

Obviously the higher end Marshall stuff is excellent.

  • Ohh. Well yeah, I get it, It's Laney, why doesn't he play something harder. But this amp is made to be close to AC30 and I think they succeeded. Love those cleans, exactly what I'm looking for.

  • put the crowther hotcake into the vc 30 amazing

  • @m3dicated

Me too, I think this is the tone I am looking for. Great cleans, bluesy / 70's classic driven sound. It's easy enough to make it break up at lower volume by tweaking the drive settings. Which is good for a home only player like me! Can't decide whether this is too loud though maybe the VC15 would be better.

  • where is the drive?why you dont play rock and roll????????

  • this model is not the hight gain style amp

  • Comment removed

  • The last song part was soo nice, making me cry those riffs...nice clean tone the amp has

    Addie

  • I have this amp:D

  • would it be good for heavy rock tones (like , let's say , black sabbath) as well a some good soloing tone ?

  • Not for heavy rock tones. This is a good amp for 60-70 stuff . It has a british sound you will need pedals to have heavy tones!

  • if you want black sabbath tone, look at gh50L, 100L, or 100TI, Tony's signature model

  • i don't think that the 50L and the 100L sound really "sabbath" like, but that is just my opinion...

  • me too. I love it; it needs an overdrive or a booster for solos though

  • all you need is a crowther hotcake put it through the clean channel amazing

  • 0:52 the guitarist have a pedalboard with effects.

the sound of ampli is true?

  • The only I thing used on my pedalboard was some delay!!!!!!!

  • I can't wait till I get mine. I have been playing on a Peavey Bandit 112, which for a Solid State is excellent for the $. This Laney VC30 will be my first tube amp..Hope I dig it!!

  • excuse me sir, could you turn the gain down a little bit? it's making my ears bleed like a cannibal corpse gig.

  • dude don't be stupid.

  • I hope that was sarcasm. I thought it was nice and creamy

  • Very nice, you just sold one. My next amp is a Laney. I am going to sell my solid state Marshall and upgrade to one of these. This is so rich and creamy without losing the personality of the guitars. I was looking for a Marshall 2266, but I think I may save some money, and get another guitar with the leftover cash! Thanks fellas!

  • oh yeah . i think you will like the laney ;)

  • The guitarist is Steve Smith , im absolutely sure of this fact as hes my guitar teacher just type stevesmithguitarist in any search engine to find his lovely website.

  • yes indeed he's my guitar teacher too!! Top dude.

  • who is this guitar player?

  • slash

  • You needed a drive example, otherwise very nice.

  • The guitarist reminds me of Andy Timmons, both in sounds and looks... ;)

  • hehe ^^

he's got an AT signature with a custom maple neck made by cottam guitars if i remember ... stock dimarzioz pickups ... i've seen it on cottam guitars website ...

anyway , great tone ! i'll trade my randall for this amp as soon as possible

  • yeah i had the same sensation :O

  • Was he playing electric gypsy at the end?

  • it was definatly andy timmons

  • @virgult you´re absolutely right my brother and i think he is using an ibanez that andy timmons used on his early days, before he got his signature one......

  • which one has more gain the VC or the LC series???

  • LC by FAR
