  • April 1, 2010 - A new altitude record of 17,850 feet has been reached.

  • I remember the first time I flew with you down in Talihina. I recall we were only able to get about 45 mins on that flight in the Balnik!

  • Ok this is driving me crazy! Wave flying in Oklahoma?! I seriously need to take some time off work. Great job Randy!

  • It's very beautiful!

  • Cool, we can get gold badge altitude without going to NV or CA.

  • Yes, Gold Altitude is definitely possible. I really think that a Diamond Altitude will be achievable with a low level flight down on the ridge and then a good climb into the wave to 17,500 feet. We are in the process of researching what is required on getting a Wave Window to climb into the Class A airspace. On 11-27-1975, an altitude of 17,500 feet was achieved out of the Mena, AR airport.

  • Good luck, I think you're right under the Bonham and Jonez arrivals into DFW.

  • If you send me your email, I will send you a few pictures.

  • Very nice video!

How did you mount the camera to the canopy?
