allah yatik el aafye!!! they are absolutely amazing. development aid - if it would have an intention to solve things for better - should fund concert halls, ouds for every child and living for people like these musicians, for all the hakayat, storytellers in the region, that are almost invisible through the plastic that west has brought here..! it is an amazing culture buried underneath the dust of politics. yes, imagine what would happen if arabs would become united through art and secularism..

This is some of the best music I've heard in recent years. It rivals the best of the western music I typically listen to (Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Dream Theater, Debussy, Thelonious Monk - an eclectic collection, I know), and really takes my soul to new places. This particular song, Safar, is 18 minutes long on the CD (Randana), right in line with the best prog rock has to offer. Not only is the music superb, it provides the listener an appreciation of the richness of Palestinian culture.
