@cambridgecyclist In our country (The Netherlands) we don't seem to have these problems, all of our roads have cyclepaths. However, i find it very anoying cyclist in other country's feel like they have to use their bicycle in the middle of the road? Why don't you keep riding in the right (left UK)? Cars can pass that way..
Buggy drivers and farmers and roadworks crews are not as much assholes as bicyclists are. Also, I ride my bike very rarely, but when I last rode it 5 years ago, I rode up and down the sidewalk to and from school 6 miles each way and took shortcuts through the alleys. Never had a single issue. Well, except one time when I hit a old drainage grate and blew out a tire. And guess what? All the car drivers were elated to see me not hindering their day.
@SeberHusky Cyclists in urban areas like where I am move faster than cars. I wait for more automobile traffic than bicycle traffic on my daily commute. So, by your standards, should cars be relegated to the sidewalk in urban areas? They are so much slower! They take up so much more space and can't maneuver around obstacles. They sit there, idling, stuck behind other cars, occupying valuable urban real estate and not moving! Should I be elated to see them not hindering my day?
I hate people on bicycles. I especially hate the superiority complex that they have. Most of them are hippies or those eco-retards. They all ride down the middle of the road, going slower than a damn tractor, and wonder why people nearly hit them. I'd like to see you cyclists go down the middle of the freeway, and watch how much chaos you create, if you even live long enough to see it. Ride on the curb or the sidewalk, idiots. Everyone is happier.
@SeberHusky Cyclists are not allowed, by law, to use the pavement/sidewalk. And everyone thinks we're arseholes for using the road. Some of us - like me, for example - ride bikes because we like riding bikes, not because we want to harp on and on about how much better than everyone else we are. It makes sense to ride where I live because it's a small city. Driving or walking would take longer than riding to anywhere I need to get to.
Evidently it's an unenforced law. I will bet you money that I can ride down the sidewalk, on a bike, right past the cop shop and not get a single look. I've had it happen before. Cops around here don't give a shit about little piddly-crap "crimes" like that.
@mollythesard I ride on the pavement whenever I can because it's safer (making sure to slow right down and be careful around pedestrians) ... I've never been stopped by the police and I've even been advised (when I was in school, quite sometime ago now ;) ) to cycle on the pavement. Just because it's illegal won't stop me, I value my life more than some idiotic rule created by the "Health and Safety" police.
@SeberHusky Ignorant fool. Bicyclists have no protection. And since car drivers have no manners and never care about other people they put bicyclists in danger when they make turns without checking the mirrors or even sideways. Do you realise how annoying it is to take 10 murder attempts per day just to go to work? Car drivers are oblivious to triffic rules. Hence it's your fault some act like assholes. Because you are a bigger one.
I'm a motorist and give all my support to cyclists. But the so called experienced cyclists in cycling clubs are the most dangerous. They cycle in groups of 20-30 and even more and making it highly dangerous, almost impossible for motorists to overtake. Their also in groups of 2. It's like trying to overtake a truck 50mtrs plus long travelling 20mph on a country road
@SonOfApe More cyclists means safer cycling. This sounds like a paradox, but it isn't. Unfortunately I can't post links here, but search for the article titled "A Virtuous Cycle: Safety In Numbers For Bicycle Riders" and you'll see what I mean.
"Fuuuck you! I hope someone hits you." lol hilarious how he says it. Guys on bikes are too assholish about the rules of the road. I think the road is meant for cars... and bikes are just allowed access to it at their own risk. Sure there are laws in place that say otherwise... but come on.. why would I wait for a 5-15 mph biker... when I can just drop it into first and tear the road up as I pass them, perhaps knocking them over with the gust of wind I create.
@ChilisDonationBand People -- not just guys -- on bicycles are vulnerable road users. If someone nearly kills or maims you through carelessness or thoughtlessness, how would you feel?
@ChilisDonationBand I think you should try giving up your car fetish and try getting around on a bike for a couple of months. Then get back to us about who's the asshole.
all i can say is if you want to share the roads with five thousand pound cars you are an idiot .they will continue to run you people over due to thier constant distractions and poor driving habits. Its always invaluntary manslaughter most dont even go to jail they go on living thier lives while yours is cut short.i ride four thousand miles a year and it is all done on bike trails where vehicles are not allowed and guess what ive never even had a close call with a car.
Bicycles were using roads before cars were ever invented. 99% of cyclist own vehicles so they pay taxes. A cyclist can't harm a driver where a driver can easily kill a cyclist. Many cyclist are angry at these situations because there life's were in danger and it happens too many times due to people that don't drive safely, " on the cellphone, eating, applying makeup and so on". But there are some cyclist that do seem to believe that they own the roads and assume that every motorist will stop or
I'm so sick of cyclists getting in the way and acting like the motor vehicles are at fault. You have to pay a shit load of money to get your vehicle licenced, registered, taxed and insured, you have to pay to use your vehicle on the road. Cyclists don't pay anything to use the roads, they don't contribute at all, so to all you cyclists out there GET THE FUCK OUT THE WAY!
@gwl1983 You have to pay a shit load of money to get your vehicle licenced, registered, taxed and insured, you have to pay to use your vehicle on the road.
That is because you are likely to cause a situation where you kill/hurt people and damage property.
"Cyclists don't pay anything to use the roads, they don't contribute at all, so to all you cyclists out there GET THE FUCK OUT THE WAY!"
Expect you know the roads are paid through general taxation so they do pay to use the roads.
@gwl1983 All of that money you pay for the costs of car ownership only covers a fraction of the costs of the roads. Every taxpayer pays for the road, not just those who own cars. Property taxes pay for most of the road costs. Cyclists pay taxes too, and cause less damage to the road than cars. Roads are made so everyone can travel on them, not just cars, cyclists or pedestrians. Might does not make right -- if you want to be licensed to drive -- you need to drive safely.
@cambridgecyclist Yes you are correct. I realise that council taxes pay for road maintanence costs. The reason I am so angry with cyclists is that they're not registered or insured. My friend got his wing mirror smashed by a cyclist, who did not stop, and he couldn't identify the cyclist because there was no Number plate. He had to pay for the damages himself.
@gwl1983 Well, I'm sorry to hear about that experience with a cyclist who vandalized your friend's car (I am assuming it was intentional since accidentally colliding with a mirror while moving at speed would cause damage to the bicycle and injury to the rider). There are jerks everywhere. I assure you, most cyclists -- and people in general -- are not mean-spirited or aggressive.
@cambridgecyclist No he was parked on the side of the road. Three cyclists went past and one of them hit his wing mirror and the glass cracked. He got out of the car and shouted for them to stop but they rode off.
@gwl1983 I am with you for the first 3 lines but after when you want to cyclist to get off the road I am not. If all people does not take the bus or does not use their bikes I think you will eat in your car and you will call your wife to fuck her in the car and then maybe you ll be home.
@gwl1983 I have owned a car for 20 years, but ride to work, shopping and for pleasure.I hate entightitled dickhead attitudes like yours. Unfortunately there are lots of asshole like you on the road
@gwl1983 Cyclists are environmently friendly, we shouldn't have to pay anything considering what you are doing to the world. so all to all you cyclists out there GET A FUCKING BIKE.
@gwl1983 Every morning as I cycle to work, i pass endless lines of traffic going nowhere. Cars full of frustrated, fat, future heart arrack victims. Really I feel for you guys, No wonder you're angry. & you're paying ,what 30% of your income to do that?! I give my little bell a ring ,whistle a happy tune as I overtake, ass in the air thinking about all that money i'm saving. I must be so irritating for you.
Worse than that, there are more & more of us every year,& insurance, fuel & taxes are up!
@snake4142934 I too am bone dry in my gore-tex waterproofs. The chances of being caught in a rainstorm, even here in rainy England, are minimal. I've needed waterproofs on no more than than five occasions in the last year. There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing choices. Why are you scared of a bit if H2O anyway? You drivers really are weak, pathetic creatures aren't you? Scared to leave your cage in case you dissolve.
@gwl1983 cyclists cause no damage to roads and the enviroment. your fat arse sitting in your tin box does. You are there to be milked senseless for various taxes for the right to sit in your tin box. none the less they have every right to be there as well. most cyclist carry head cams now, you try anything stupid in your tin box and you will lose your license and pay a fine..its all on film now! Nothing you can do, just accept your place as a cashcow, you will sleep better
Car driver's yield to pedestrians and bikers, bikers yield to pedestrians. So it was fat white fucks problem. He is SUPPOSE to stop no matter what BEHIND the white lines. thats the point of them.
@cambridgecyclist Shit I say you pay 62% if you ride on the road. And an automobile tears a road down, but it has to be constant traffic, when was the last time you've seen the same road repaved within a 20 year span? Since you didn't answer your questions I'll be the polite person and answer yours, How much of land is actually that nice? Do you like riding out on farm roads? If you do you arn't an issue but in this video it seems like you're in the city, that urban question is invalid.
@NoJDMHonda Roads are repaved every 3-4 years here. There's plenty of prime real estate devoted to car parking and automobile infrastructure here. We all have a right to use the road; we all pay for it. Owning or using an automobile is not a prerequisite to using the public road system to go from one place to another, and it shouldn't be one. We must all be able to safely walk, ride, or otherwise get myself where we want to go in this free country without buying into car culture.
So, they need too make license plates, and registration fees for bikes. Then I'll share my roads with them. I pay for my car and motorcycle to be on the road, why do you all get away with a bike on the road and then act like motorists are the problem? That guy obviously did something too that car, like maybe cut him off while he was turning or didn't watch out for the car.
I just briefly read the argument above saying roads are meant for cyclists too etc, then went on to say they pay tax to so why not? In the UK we pay road tax. Cyclists don't. So I say there is no right they should be on the road. Danger to us all including themselves.
@StagnantSociety I'm not in the UK, I'm in the US. A little Google research, though, tells me that "the link between the annual vehicle tax paid by drivers and the money used to build and maintain roads was abolished in 1937, a process first begun by none other than Winston Churchill in 1926. Since then the money has come from various general and local taxes."
@cambridgecyclist I don't know if I'm misreading your comment here but the road tax money is put together with all taxes, including fuel duty which I also pay - a ridiculous amount may I add - but a percentage of all money collected is spent on maintaining and improving infrastructure throughout the country. So again, my previous point still stands. They are a danger to themselves and other road users.
@StagnantSociety Okay, so in the UK, taxes go into a common pool which maintains resources everyone uses. Cyclists pay into that pool as well, since they pay taxes. Which road users are cyclists endangering besides themselves?
@cambridgecyclist Yes cyclists do pay into that, but say you only cycle and don't own a vehicle. Someone who owns a vehicle pays more into that pool. VAT on the car new, fuel duty and car tax so they are contributing more. They aren't necessarily endangering others, but they do cause obstruction that could lead to road rage which is very common in the city. If a car hits them it can be fatal but they also can cause damage which is left to the driver to pay for if they carry no insurance.
@StagnantSociety Thanks for being rational. I didn't say that I only cycle and don't own a vehicle (I own a car, and also, a bicycle IS a vehicle). Even if I didn't own a vehicle, is the amount I pay into that pool disproportionately higher than the amount of damage I cause to the roads? What do you think is a reasonable ratio that a cyclist should pay for the damage they cause to a road as compared to a much heavier vehicle like a car?
@StagnantSociety Also, do you spend most of your time waiting in bicycle traffic in the city, or do you spend most of your time waiting behind other automobiles? Here in the US, drivers MUST carry insurance, it is mandatory. The vehicle damage is a minor point compared to the physical (and potential life-long) injury suffered by a person who is hit by a car.
@cambridgecyclist No problem, this is just a friendly debate. I stay in a small coastal town and the roads around me are narrow and have lots of corners. I spend most of my time behind cyclists. Usually all the motorised vehicles are travelling at the same speed. Obviously cycling is going to be a lot cheaper than running a car. - my first insurance premium when I passed was £2,500 as younger drivers are a danger. - Insurance here is mandatory too, that's why I think cyclists should be insured
@StagnantSociety by your logic, the disabled, homeless, jobless, and otherwise helpless people should receive NO help from the government since they do not pay any tax? also, cars to many times more damage both to the road, the environment, and to whatever they happen to hit in a crash you still think its wrong that they should pay more?
@sn0wchyld This is a friendly debate so don't you DARE twist my words. My nephew is severely disabled and receives great help. This wasn't about help in the first place, do cyclists need help? I'm confused about your logic.
@StagnantSociety my logic is that you basically state 'cyclists dont pay road tax like car users do, so they aren't allowed on the road'. taking this same attitude to everything means that if you dont pay tax for something, then you dont get to share in what the government does for 'the people'. ie, no homeless shelters etc. you could just as well say that the unemployed are not allowed on the side walk because they dont pay taxes, and therefore arn't allowed to use it.
@cambridgecyclist You look at it wrongly. Motorists pay so they can drive, and cyclics don't. We want you to pay as we do, to NOT ride between lanes when cars are not moving, to NOT become a "pedestrian" in crossings, to NOT hog the road by riding well under speed limit.
Simply act like a car and every motorist will be happy. Can't drive at 80 km/h? Your bad, you should not be on the road. Can't drive even at 50? Well, the same applies.
@MrJustGood I do not advocate unsafe or illegal cycling. However, everybody who pays taxes pays for the roads, including cyclists and pedestrians. Roads, like libraries and public parks, are for everybody, not just for those who own automobiles. We all have a right -- yes, a right -- to get where we are going. It is a privilege - not a right - to drive a car in a public place. Motorists must be licensed and insured and pay for the privilege to use such dangerous equipment.
@StagnantSociety Hi mate. Cyclists don't have near as many negative externalities and people that drive cars, they don't pollute (Noise or actual air pollution) amongst others
@louispapper Hi there! I know there is so much negativity about cars polluting and I was waiting on this popping up. I think if polluting was such a big deal then something would of been done. The thing with the human race is that they don't want to go back, we are used to cars so we need them. Hydrogen power is the way forward. Do you think if all cars change to more environmentally friendly ones that the government will stop taxing on cars? No. They can't afford not to!
typical large response to negate someones comment when they hit the nail on the head, like seriously guys?, if you are a cyclist and your nervous on the road or hate cars (around you)then why choose to go on it? why frustrate someone else and take the risk of being hit by a car, truck or buss?
@dansci03 The roads are built for everyone and we should all feel safe using them, regardless of whether we can afford a car or not. Roads aren't a resource reserved for those who choose (or can afford) to drive a motor vehicle on them! They're public ways that connect us all to places we want to go to. And who is frustrated? Most cyclists I know don't drive their bikes to work frustrated, but I sure do hear a lot of car drivers complain about how hard it is to travel in the city.
@Dualshock21 Why do you think that? The sidewalk is a much more dangerous place for bicycle traffic (Google for sources). Cyclists move as fast or faster than cars in high density urban areas. The roads are not built for cars and motorbikes; they're paid for by every taxpayer and built as public ways so that people can go from one place to the next. What about rural roads? Should people not walk on the side of the road ever?
@cambridgecyclist ok, from a point (which can be overruled or reversed) years ago bikes werent allowed on the road and had to stick to the footpath only but somehow and i dont where along the lines it changed, but bikes somehow thought the road was there to share for all commuters and then soon footpaths seemed to become less and less in council projects around residential to commerce areas.
@cambridgecyclist and to further an arguement on both sides, i know you pay your taxes, and whatever other fees that give you a free choice to argue and ride where you please, but when you decided to take to the road you decreased footpath paying tax and negated those options to entirely ride on the footpath. simple no money and use on the footpaths why build them?,"the cyclists now use the road and save us money on footpaths" is the new saying in council offices and districts
@dansci03 It sounds like you're in the UK. I'm in Cambridge, MA, in the US. The bikeways are heavily used here, as well as the roads. The most direct paths from one place to another are not always the bike paths, however, I always elect to use them when they're available and aren't too far out of the way -- it is far more pleasant to ride on a bike path than on a road shares with automobiles. Here, there are bike lanes in the roads, though, and I use these as long as they're safe also.
i have been cycling for 38yrs.. some things i have done on a bike. 1. rode off a 50ft cliff. 2. ran over a gangbanger waxing his low rider rims. 3. kicked off the freeway in New Delhi india. 4. hit by a car in Melbourne aussie. 5. rode thru a snow storm in NV desert and bivouaced with no sleeping bag. 6. Passed a Big Rig in the fast lane hwy 101 in calif. 7. rode from Toledo to Cleveland 115miles in the rain. These car people aint going to bother me.
@PInk77W1 well said mate!! Ive been bike riding myself about 30 years, i havnt done one of those things youve done, but ive definatly had fun. Im onto motorbikes now. Ive never had any accidents or incidents with cars.
@mrhotmale99 i have no bike riding skills. i just ride bikes. i have owned 4 motorbikes n the past. last one was in 1999? i just live close to work and have no real need for one. someday maybe after i pay off my daughters college..thx
Cyclists and their exercising and good health and longevity, what a bunch of BS, why can't you dumb punks be like the rest of us with our bad health and our high cholesterol and living our sedimentary lives gaining weight and just waiting to die.
Why do you people need to live so healthily, FU cyclist. Get off the roads, the roads are for fat people who can't walk so we ride around in our cars.
@KaiserKujo You are 100% wrong. Obviously bikes need much less space on the road. Asian countries such as China have become congested because of the recent mass ownership of private cars. That's why they're re-introducing more bike lanes in Bejing. You can comfortably park ten bikes in one car parking space. That frees up a lot of room in the city for everyone, including cars.
Bikes should be taken off the road all togethor, i mean ffs there not as fast as a car and they congest traffic 9/10 cyclers nearly have a collision, becuase their in someones blindspot. twice i have nearly wiped out a cyclist becuase they just dont belong on the road. ah hello have you heard of fucking footpath?,
@dansci03 It is faster for me to ride my bicycle from one end of the city to another -- and I don't need to break any laws to do it. Most of the traffic I have to wait for is from cars and buses; rarely do I need to wait behind other cyclists. When you're driving a car are you mostly waiting for cyclists or for other cars? If you're operating heavy machinery in such a way as to endanger cyclists, perhaps you ought to look over your shoulder before turning instead of relying on mirrors.
@cambridgecyclist You can't look over your shoulder when you're driving a truck. You have to rely on the mirrors. There will be blindspots, lots of them. That's why people should pay big respect to these vehicles and let them take the space they need to get around a corner or whatever
@Tidermans While I agree that large motor vehicles such as trucks require more space and are inherently more dangerous to other people on the road, I disagree that they deserve more respect just because they are larger. I think that the more vulnerable road users deserve more respect. Who is going to get hurt if a truck driver makes a mistake and a pedestrian, cyclist or a motorcyclist are involved? The onus is on the driver to control their vehicle, not on everyone else to watch out.
@cambridgecyclist Well, they shouldn't really deserve more respect but people should have respect for them anyway and know that it's possible that the driver can't always see you and that he may think that there is nobody on his sides when he makes a turn. Sure, it's the driver's responsibility but that doesn't mean that people shouldn't be helping out by not putting themselves in any unnecessary and dangerous situations. Maybe you don't need to shave off those few seconds on your trip home etc
@jetisl77 I completely agree, being dead right is little comfort when you're dead. The idea is that riding a bicycle on the road should not be as dangerous as it is.
so should motorcycles and small cars also be outlawed?
Lets all drive SUV's!
Visibility is irrelevant. Both parties should recognize the weaknesses of eachother and should be cautious of that. Driving isn't a passive activity.
Cyclist dont congest traffic.PERIOD.
Cyclists already have to deal with bad weather, poor road conditions, and auto-centric transportation planning and shitty drivers. They don't need aggressive fuckasses like you to put them further in harms way.
I meant it was irrelevant to a vehicle's legality. bicycles should not be banned because they can fit in blind spots. if bicycles are banned then you might as well ban motorcycles and small cars too.
@dansci03 its illegal to ride a bike on a footpath because it puts pedestrians in danger and by the way dont say there not as fast as a car because me and several other people have gone over 40 mph on crappy old mountain bikes
@dansci03 I have seen some cyclists do some very stupid moves out in heavy traffic. That doesn't mean we all do that sort of thing. I think it helps a lot if you have driven cars etc before cycling because I understand where the motorist is coming from too. This helps me to anticipate their next move etc. But you have to admit that there are plenty of dangerous and stupid motorists out there too. After all how many fatal accidents do you hear about with car on car collisions.
@dansci03 i think cars should be taken off the road. imagine the money we would save in health care with fewer getting sick and the hundreds of thousands of people that wouldnt have to suffer and die in wars fought over oil.
@dansci03 ...But then you may have a situation where Pedestrians are getting injured???! ...or, Pedestrians aren't as fast as cyclists... slowing the cyclists down... swings and roundabouts mate! Ha ha!
@KaiserKujo You cunt, obviously a car is larger than a bike u smart fuck!! Have you ever been to asian countries co they aren't congested, its the city centres!! Look at London Ein Stein :L
@KaiserKujo ive been to Hong Kong on vacation and my dad did some of his training with his work there, its only the city centres most of the time but its all to do with the housing plans with the inner city population and whatever, if u understand what im on about, the fact being that they have more people in certain areas which can be proven in England etc :/
@straatman12345 Oh you are only a kid, I guess you have an excuse to be nieve and talking out of your ass. Hong Kong is a city that uses the least bikes in Asia. Go and do your homework again....
@KaiserKujo Haha so now your the stereotypical asswipe in an armchair as I am more aware of things around the world than many adults, some single minded prats such as yourself make the world a total misery and it is the kind of selfish cunts like you that are unloved by their parents and reflect that into every part of the world possible. I don't use the internet for my sources-only by what I have heard about so it shows that you are clearly desperate. I am on a stool by the way, get it right.
@KaiserKujo shows your level of understanding :/ im not 23, im 16, it shows that you believe everything you read. nah that parent shit is aimed at fucktards like you and skitzo is when you have a split personality so brush up on definitions the next time you reply, this isn't a case of seeing a DR, it is common sense you pleb and if you're the one bringing mental into this then you clearly have issues and I would recommend counselling.
@straatman12345 Again WTF are you talking about? You are so random...
Go to my channel Mr Big shot English kid. I own exotics and most of them I bought from the UK, from your people who can not afford them anymore because the UK's economy is going crap, so no i'm not a pleb, you are. And you know what? Your dad is also a pleb having to work for other people.
It is about time someone put you back in your place. You are a shit kicker kid and your family is as well.
@KaiserKujo How am I random, I'm clearly talking bout the vid and so you go on about skitzo(makes sense really????) So i'm random yet you bring up the economy?? :/ My Dad isn't a pleb and you don't know what a pleb is so brush up on your definitions! My Dad works for a corporation linked to MI6 and MI5, don't believe me?! Go search GCHQ on google, idiot. Put me back in my place where?? So im the 'shit kicker kid' coming from the guy receiving abuse and being confused by a 16 YO, hmm parrr :/
@axnlogix i wanted to say that the biker wins the argument, but i suppose that at your age you don't quite understand ... although you have driving age ;))
@NeroSNT I'm 27 years old.... what does that have to do with the current argument? It seems your pretty transparent towards any possible younger generations that may have a valid argument against yours. What is it, the older knows best? Well if that's the case, i'm older than you, so I know what's best over anything you say... can't argue against that, unless you want to contradict yourself.
Gotta admit that its a few ahole bikers that ruin the rep of true bikers who keep their lane. Ive been known to down a few bike riders that got outta hand but I pretty much let them start it before I finish it. Truw that the quality is good. Almost forgot I was on hughtoob
DOn't know and doesn't matter who was in the wrong before video started, but the bike rider is a wanker for riding all over the road and blocking the car from driving afterwards near the end of the video. What a knob.
I'm 15 right now, and I can tell everyone on Earth without an inch of doubt that I will be a cyclist when I grow up. Why bother getting an expensive car with gas prices going bizarre? Why not just get a good bike that will last you a couple of years, get exercise, see the world around you, and get through traffic faster? I don't understand why so many people buy cars when there is a much simpler option at hand... unless they are traveling far distances, then I see why they would need a car.
@Jvizzlezz As soon as you move out and don't have your parents to drive you around, etc, you'll understand. I bus and bike everywhere, but my roommates has the use of his parents second car. It's easy to say 'why would anyone need one!' now, but try hauling a weeks worth of groceries on your bike. Or anything bigger than a backpack for that matter. Sure many more people could replace most of their travel with bikes, but cars still have their place.
@Jvizzlezz OMG not another close minded biker, I predict you will grow up to be one of those extremist bike riders that trolls these videos and takes treroids and then gets into fist fights on the road....
There is nothing wrong with bikes, there is nothing wrong with cars... Anyone who is 100% one sided on the matter is just as bad as the other extreme. Just because you are a tight ass and don't want to spend on a car or petrol, doesn't mean you are right. Stupid kid.
@KaiserKujo I never said there was anything wrong with cars OR bikes, I just said that bikes would be the better option for me. That doesn't make me close minded. Also, I will never use steroids in my life (or "treroids"...) because it's just an illegal supplement that does nothing but provide you with artificial testosterone, which makes your balls shrivel up and your social abilities to decline.
Also, would a "stupid kid" have AP classes in 10th grade with 4.0 GPA?
I drive and I'm an avid cyclist so I see it from both sides. In my experience people in cars are usually the ones at fault. When people get behind the wheel of a car they become a different person and think they own every inch of the road, and get road rage when you don't give them every inch.
There's always that one person on the damn cell phone making a turn right in front of me and I gotta slam the breaks.

You have to be one to ride around that close to motor vehicles and expect impunity.
The audacity! It is not a hope but a fact that you will get hit.

Should I be elated to see them not hindering my day?
cambridgecyclist 1 month ago 5
I hate people on bicycles. I especially hate the superiority complex that they have. Most of them are hippies or those eco-retards. They all ride down the middle of the road, going slower than a damn tractor, and wonder why people nearly hit them. I'd like to see you cyclists go down the middle of the freeway, and watch how much chaos you create, if you even live long enough to see it. Ride on the curb or the sidewalk, idiots. Everyone is happier.
SeberHusky 1 month ago
@SeberHusky Cyclists are not allowed, by law, to use the pavement/sidewalk. And everyone thinks we're arseholes for using the road. Some of us - like me, for example - ride bikes because we like riding bikes, not because we want to harp on and on about how much better than everyone else we are. It makes sense to ride where I live because it's a small city. Driving or walking would take longer than riding to anywhere I need to get to.
mollythesard 1 month ago
@mollythesard
Evidently it's an unenforced law. I will bet you money that I can ride down the sidewalk, on a bike, right past the cop shop and not get a single look. I've had it happen before. Cops around here don't give a shit about little piddly-crap "crimes" like that.
SeberHusky 1 month ago

TheSnugPub 1 month ago

Expect you know the roads are paid through general taxation so they do pay to use the roads.
electrictactical 2 months ago
@gwl1983 All of that money you pay for the costs of car ownership only covers a fraction of the costs of the roads. Every taxpayer pays for the road, not just those who own cars. Property taxes pay for most of the road costs. Cyclists pay taxes too, and cause less damage to the road than cars. Roads are made so everyone can travel on them, not just cars, cyclists or pedestrians. Might does not make right -- if you want to be licensed to drive -- you need to drive safely.
cambridgecyclist 2 months ago 27
@cambridgecyclist Yes you are correct. I realise that council taxes pay for road maintanence costs. The reason I am so angry with cyclists is that they're not registered or insured. My friend got his wing mirror smashed by a cyclist, who did not stop, and he couldn't identify the cyclist because there was no Number plate. He had to pay for the damages himself.
gwl1983 2 months ago
@gwl1983 Well, I'm sorry to hear about that experience with a cyclist who vandalized your friend's car (I am assuming it was intentional since accidentally colliding with a mirror while moving at speed would cause damage to the bicycle and injury to the rider). There are jerks everywhere. I assure you, most cyclists -- and people in general -- are not mean-spirited or aggressive.

NoJDMHonda 2 months ago
@NoJDMHonda Roads are repaved every 3-4 years here. There's plenty of prime real estate devoted to car parking and automobile infrastructure here. We all have a right to use the road; we all pay for it. Owning or using an automobile is not a prerequisite to using the public road system to go from one place to another, and it shouldn't be one. We must all be able to safely walk, ride, or otherwise get myself where we want to go in this free country without buying into car culture.

I just briefly read the argument above saying roads are meant for cyclists too etc, then went on to say they pay tax to so why not? In the UK we pay road tax. Cyclists don't. So I say there is no right they should be on the road. Danger to us all including themselves.
StagnantSociety 2 months ago
@StagnantSociety I'm not in the UK, I'm in the US. A little Google research, though, tells me that "the link between the annual vehicle tax paid by drivers and the money used to build and maintain roads was abolished in 1937, a process first begun by none other than Winston Churchill in 1926. Since then the money has come from various general and local taxes."
cambridgecyclist 2 months ago 13
@cambridgecyclist I don't know if I'm misreading your comment here but the road tax money is put together with all taxes, including fuel duty which I also pay - a ridiculous amount may I add - but a percentage of all money collected is spent on maintaining and improving infrastructure throughout the country. So again, my previous point still stands. They are a danger to themselves and other road users.
StagnantSociety 2 months ago
@StagnantSociety Okay, so in the UK, taxes go into a common pool which maintains resources everyone uses. Cyclists pay into that pool as well, since they pay taxes. Which road users are cyclists endangering besides themselves?
cambridgecyclist 2 months ago
@cambridgecyclist Yes cyclists do pay into that, but say you only cycle and don't own a vehicle. Someone who owns a vehicle pays more into that pool. VAT on the car new, fuel duty and car tax so they are contributing more. They aren't necessarily endangering others, but they do cause obstruction that could lead to road rage which is very common in the city. If a car hits them it can be fatal but they also can cause damage which is left to the driver to pay for if they carry no insurance.
StagnantSociety 2 months ago
@StagnantSociety Thanks for being rational. I didn't say that I only cycle and don't own a vehicle (I own a car, and also, a bicycle IS a vehicle). Even if I didn't own a vehicle, is the amount I pay into that pool disproportionately higher than the amount of damage I cause to the roads? What do you think is a reasonable ratio that a cyclist should pay for the damage they cause to a road as compared to a much heavier vehicle like a car?
cambridgecyclist 2 months ago
@StagnantSociety Also, do you spend most of your time waiting in bicycle traffic in the city, or do you spend most of your time waiting behind other automobiles? Here in the US, drivers MUST carry insurance, it is mandatory. The vehicle damage is a minor point compared to the physical (and potential life-long) injury suffered by a person who is hit by a car.
cambridgecyclist 2 months ago
@cambridgecyclist No problem, this is just a friendly debate. I stay in a small coastal town and the roads around me are narrow and have lots of corners. I spend most of my time behind cyclists. Usually all the motorised vehicles are travelling at the same speed. Obviously cycling is going to be a lot cheaper than running a car. - my first insurance premium when I passed was £2,500 as younger drivers are a danger. - Insurance here is mandatory too, that's why I think cyclists should be insured
StagnantSociety 2 months ago
@StagnantSociety by your logic, the disabled, homeless, jobless, and otherwise helpless people should receive NO help from the government since they do not pay any tax? also, cars to many times more damage both to the road, the environment, and to whatever they happen to hit in a crash you still think its wrong that they should pay more?
sn0wchyld 2 months ago
@sn0wchyld This is a friendly debate so don't you DARE twist my words. My nephew is severely disabled and receives great help. This wasn't about help in the first place, do cyclists need help? I'm confused about your logic.
StagnantSociety 2 months ago
@StagnantSociety my logic is that you basically state 'cyclists dont pay road tax like car users do, so they aren't allowed on the road'. taking this same attitude to everything means that if you dont pay tax for something, then you dont get to share in what the government does for 'the people'. ie, no homeless shelters etc. you could just as well say that the unemployed are not allowed on the side walk because they dont pay taxes, and therefore arn't allowed to use it.
sn0wchyld 2 months ago
@sn0wchyld You are reading between the lines... Oh, and last time I checked their isn't pavement tax. Again, your logic is flawed.
StagnantSociety 2 months ago
@cambridgecyclist You look at it wrongly. Motorists pay so they can drive, and cyclics don't. We want you to pay as we do, to NOT ride between lanes when cars are not moving, to NOT become a "pedestrian" in crossings, to NOT hog the road by riding well under speed limit.
Simply act like a car and every motorist will be happy. Can't drive at 80 km/h? Your bad, you should not be on the road. Can't drive even at 50? Well, the same applies.
MrJustGood 1 month ago
@MrJustGood I do not advocate unsafe or illegal cycling. However, everybody who pays taxes pays for the roads, including cyclists and pedestrians. Roads, like libraries and public parks, are for everybody, not just for those who own automobiles. We all have a right -- yes, a right -- to get where we are going. It is a privilege - not a right - to drive a car in a public place. Motorists must be licensed and insured and pay for the privilege to use such dangerous equipment.
cambridgecyclist 1 month ago
@StagnantSociety Hi mate. Cyclists don't have near as many negative externalities and people that drive cars, they don't pollute (Noise or actual air pollution) amongst others
louispapper 2 months ago
@louispapper Hi there! I know there is so much negativity about cars polluting and I was waiting on this popping up. I think if polluting was such a big deal then something would of been done. The thing with the human race is that they don't want to go back, we are used to cars so we need them. Hydrogen power is the way forward. Do you think if all cars change to more environmentally friendly ones that the government will stop taxing on cars? No. They can't afford not to!
StagnantSociety 2 months ago
typical large response to negate someones comment when they hit the nail on the head, like seriously guys?, if you are a cyclist and your nervous on the road or hate cars (around you)then why choose to go on it? why frustrate someone else and take the risk of being hit by a car, truck or buss?
dansci03 2 months ago
@dansci03 The roads are built for everyone and we should all feel safe using them, regardless of whether we can afford a car or not. Roads aren't a resource reserved for those who choose (or can afford) to drive a motor vehicle on them! They're public ways that connect us all to places we want to go to. And who is frustrated? Most cyclists I know don't drive their bikes to work frustrated, but I sure do hear a lot of car drivers complain about how hard it is to travel in the city.
cambridgecyclist 2 months ago
@cambridgecyclist The roads are build and designed for cars an motorbikes. And the sidewalk is build for walking people and cyclists.
Dualshock21 2 months ago
@Dualshock21 Why do you think that? The sidewalk is a much more dangerous place for bicycle traffic (Google for sources). Cyclists move as fast or faster than cars in high density urban areas. The roads are not built for cars and motorbikes; they're paid for by every taxpayer and built as public ways so that people can go from one place to the next. What about rural roads? Should people not walk on the side of the road ever?
cambridgecyclist 2 months ago
@cambridgecyclist ok, from a point (which can be overruled or reversed) years ago bikes werent allowed on the road and had to stick to the footpath only but somehow and i dont where along the lines it changed, but bikes somehow thought the road was there to share for all commuters and then soon footpaths seemed to become less and less in council projects around residential to commerce areas.
dansci03 2 months ago
@cambridgecyclist and to further an arguement on both sides, i know you pay your taxes, and whatever other fees that give you a free choice to argue and ride where you please, but when you decided to take to the road you decreased footpath paying tax and negated those options to entirely ride on the footpath. simple no money and use on the footpaths why build them?,"the cyclists now use the road and save us money on footpaths" is the new saying in council offices and districts
dansci03 2 months ago
@dansci03 It sounds like you're in the UK. I'm in Cambridge, MA, in the US. The bikeways are heavily used here, as well as the roads. The most direct paths from one place to another are not always the bike paths, however, I always elect to use them when they're available and aren't too far out of the way -- it is far more pleasant to ride on a bike path than on a road shares with automobiles. Here, there are bike lanes in the roads, though, and I use these as long as they're safe also.

soulsurvivor52784 3 months ago
@KaiserKujo You are 100% wrong. Obviously bikes need much less space on the road. Asian countries such as China have become congested because of the recent mass ownership of private cars. That's why they're re-introducing more bike lanes in Bejing. You can comfortably park ten bikes in one car parking space. That frees up a lot of room in the city for everyone, including cars.
zivkovicable 3 months ago
Bikes should be taken off the road all togethor, i mean ffs there not as fast as a car and they congest traffic 9/10 cyclers nearly have a collision, becuase their in someones blindspot. twice i have nearly wiped out a cyclist becuase they just dont belong on the road. ah hello have you heard of fucking footpath?,
dansci03 3 months ago
@dansci03 It is faster for me to ride my bicycle from one end of the city to another -- and I don't need to break any laws to do it. Most of the traffic I have to wait for is from cars and buses; rarely do I need to wait behind other cyclists. When you're driving a car are you mostly waiting for cyclists or for other cars? If you're operating heavy machinery in such a way as to endanger cyclists, perhaps you ought to look over your shoulder before turning instead of relying on mirrors.
cambridgecyclist 3 months ago 12
@cambridgecyclist You can't look over your shoulder when you're driving a truck. You have to rely on the mirrors. There will be blindspots, lots of them. That's why people should pay big respect to these vehicles and let them take the space they need to get around a corner or whatever
Tidermans 3 months ago
@Tidermans While I agree that large motor vehicles such as trucks require more space and are inherently more dangerous to other people on the road, I disagree that they deserve more respect just because they are larger. I think that the more vulnerable road users deserve more respect. Who is going to get hurt if a truck driver makes a mistake and a pedestrian, cyclist or a motorcyclist are involved? The onus is on the driver to control their vehicle, not on everyone else to watch out.
cambridgecyclist 3 months ago 9
@cambridgecyclist Well, they shouldn't really deserve more respect but people should have respect for them anyway and know that it's possible that the driver can't always see you and that he may think that there is nobody on his sides when he makes a turn. Sure, it's the driver's responsibility but that doesn't mean that people shouldn't be helping out by not putting themselves in any unnecessary and dangerous situations. Maybe you don't need to shave off those few seconds on your trip home etc

@dansci03 I have seen some cyclists do some very stupid moves out in heavy traffic. That doesn't mean we all do that sort of thing.

Look at London Ein Stein :L
straatman12345 3 months ago
@straatman12345 nice language. And you obviously havent been to Asia have you?????
KaiserKujo 3 months ago
@KaiserKujo ive been to Hong Kong on vacation and my dad did some of his training with his work there, its only the city centres most of the time but its all to do with the housing plans with the inner city population and whatever, if u understand what im on about, the fact being that they have more people in certain areas which can be proven in England etc :/
straatman12345 3 months ago
@straatman12345 Oh you are only a kid, I guess you have an excuse to be nieve and talking out of your ass. Hong Kong is a city that uses the least bikes in Asia. Go and do your homework again....
Internet, full of armchair experts....
KaiserKujo 3 months ago
@KaiserKujo Haha so now your the stereotypical asswipe in an armchair as I am more aware of things around the world than many adults, some single minded prats such as yourself make the world a total misery and it is the kind of selfish cunts like you that are unloved by their parents and reflect that into every part of the world possible. I don't use the internet for my sources-only by what I have heard about so it shows that you are clearly desperate. I am on a stool by the way, get it right.
straatman12345 3 months ago
@straatman12345
WHat are you talking about?
You are 23 right...??? you are an adult (physically at least, not mentally)
What has someones parents got to do with this video?
You should go to a DR, you are Skitzo
KaiserKujo 3 months ago
@KaiserKujo shows your level of understanding :/ im not 23, im 16, it shows that you believe everything you read. nah that parent shit is aimed at fucktards like you and skitzo is when you have a split personality so brush up on definitions the next time you reply, this isn't a case of seeing a DR, it is common sense you pleb and if you're the one bringing mental into this then you clearly have issues and I would recommend counselling.
straatman12345 3 months ago
@straatman12345 Again WTF are you talking about? You are so random...
Go to my channel Mr Big shot English kid. I own exotics and most of them I bought from the UK, from your people who can not afford them anymore because the UK's economy is going crap, so no i'm not a pleb, you are. And you know what? Your dad is also a pleb having to work for other people.
It is about time someone put you back in your place. You are a shit kicker kid and your family is as well.
Good day
KaiserKujo 3 months ago
@KaiserKujo wow, you have my sincerest compassion.
Duiss 3 months ago
@KaiserKujo How am I random, I'm clearly talking bout the vid and so you go on about skitzo(makes sense really????) So i'm random yet you bring up the economy?? :/ My Dad isn't a pleb and you don't know what a pleb is so brush up on your definitions! My Dad works for a corporation linked to MI6 and MI5, don't believe me?! Go search GCHQ on google, idiot. Put me back in my place where?? So im the 'shit kicker kid' coming from the guy receiving abuse and being confused by a 16 YO, hmm parrr :/

biker wins no matter what
NeroSNT 4 months ago
@NeroSNT Biker loses life or gets crippled if he gets hit. Driver gets accident record and insurance loss... you still think biker wins?
axnlogix 3 months ago
@axnlogix i wanted to say that the biker wins the argument, but i suppose that at your age you don't quite understand ... although you have driving age ;))
NeroSNT 3 months ago
@NeroSNT I'm 27 years old.... what does that have to do with the current argument? It seems your pretty transparent towards any possible younger generations that may have a valid argument against yours. What is it, the older knows best? Well if that's the case, i'm older than you, so I know what's best over anything you say... can't argue against that, unless you want to contradict yourself.
axnlogix 3 months ago
Gotta admit that its a few ahole bikers that ruin the rep of true bikers who keep their lane. Ive been known to down a few bike riders that got outta hand but I pretty much let them start it before I finish it. Truw that the quality is good. Almost forgot I was on hughtoob

@KaiserKujo and how often do you see 5 people or even 3 people for that matter in a 5 seater car?

haha yaris
muiscnight 4 months ago

Jvizzlezz 4 months ago
@Jvizzlezz As soon as you move out and don't have your parents to drive you around, etc, you'll understand. I bus and bike everywhere, but my roommates has the use of his parents second car. It's easy to say 'why would anyone need one!' now, but try hauling a weeks worth of groceries on your bike. Or anything bigger than a backpack for that matter. Sure many more people could replace most of their travel with bikes, but cars still have their place.
rjc34 4 months ago
@Jvizzlezz OMG not another close minded biker, I predict you will grow up to be one of those extremist bike riders that trolls these videos and takes treroids and then gets into fist fights on the road....
There is nothing wrong with bikes, there is nothing wrong with cars... Anyone who is 100% one sided on the matter is just as bad as the other extreme. Just because you are a tight ass and don't want to spend on a car or petrol, doesn't mean you are right. Stupid kid.
KaiserKujo 4 months ago
@KaiserKujo I never said there was anything wrong with cars OR bikes, I just said that bikes would be the better option for me. That doesn't make me close minded. Also, I will never use steroids in my life (or "treroids"...) because it's just an illegal supplement that does nothing but provide you with artificial testosterone, which makes your balls shrivel up and your social abilities to decline.
Also, would a "stupid kid" have AP classes in 10th grade with 4.0 GPA?
No. Piss off, troll.

LMFAO "w-what makes you the boss of everything, why can't I be?" I dunno but when you get home you can ask your mum.
MrMadreputa 4 months ago
I drive and I'm an avid cyclist so I see it from both sides. In my experience people in cars are usually the ones at fault. When people get behind the wheel of a car they become a different person and think they own every inch of the road, and get road rage when you don't give them every inch.
