My grandmother did missionary work in Guatemala and had a gun put to her head. Even though America is awkward and can be really ignorant sometimes, I’m blessed to live in a country so free. There’s a part of me that has always wanted to explore and help others and enjoy different culture. At 18, I’m not sure I’m ready.
