That's because there are a few phonemes that do belong to the day to day usage of a latin language such as Italian. As for his accent, I'd say it's only different and, as much as you WISHED it was more like a "common american accent" (whatever it means, 'cause even in the US there are TONS of different accents), you just have to accept as it is ;) Regards.

He's simply amazing, perfect and mindblowing, definitly so much far from needing the autotune to sing this, he can even hit very higher notes without difficult.

By far I only heard 2 bands covering DT songs so far and this is one of the two and also the best. Ask yourself why other bands don't cover DT songs while DT covers a lot of songs from Metallica with two guitarist to Pink Floyd.

Se LaBrie ha una voce di merda allora la merda è una delle cose più belle del mondo, dato che io lo ritengo uno dei migliori cantanti in assoluto, per quanto abbia avuto i suoi alti bassi, soprattutto nel periodo in cui ha avuto l'operazione alle corde vocali. E, guarda un po' il caso, per quanto ritenga Luppi un cantante impressionante e con una tecnica fantastica, la voce è troppo poco piena ed interessante. Anzi, manca quasi di espressione.

Just try to investigate his live actuations and you'll see. You can prefer other timbers of voice, but this is subjective, being objective Luppi is better than LaBrie, Kiske, F.Lione, Freddy Mercury and other singers. If not, try to investigate.

Please, download the live DVD Stage of Consciousness, you'll like it. Try to listen the last song of the concert "The whisper", the most part of the singers (Freddy too) are so tired in the lasts songs, try it with Luppi. I'm not a fanatic, I have meet Luppi 1 week ago (But I've listened everything about him).

Dopo i guai che ha avuto alle corde vocali nel 95 è già tanto che JLB possa ancora cantare! In concerto nella seconda metà dei 90 era in grossa difficoltà. Dopodiché secondo me ha recuperato fin troppo bene. Certo qualcosa è perso irrimediabilmente, e gli anni passano per tutti: qualcuno ha sentito Geoff Tate ultimamente? Luppi è molto bravo, ma lo vorrei sentire dopo tutta una carriera fatta ad alti livelli con centinaia e centinaia di concerti uno dopo l'altro che ti sfasciano la gola!

A me Labrie piaceva qualche anno fa, adesso è alquanto mediocre, e per motivi sicuramente validi i dream non lo hanno sostituito, ma pur essendo un ottimo cantante, non è più al livello degli altri componenti. Prova a sentire il disco "A change of seasons", e prova a sentire qualche live degli ultimi anni e senti la differenza.

Ascolta le canzoni del gruppo di James, Winter Rose (per esempio la canzone My Time) e poi dimmi che ne pensi ;)

@iFercr He sing so good that I though the same, XD. I tried to search another smaller concerts of him (With poor quality, recorded by phone and things like that) and he stills sound good, like the stage of consciousness concert.

Dopo i guai che ha avuto alle corde vocali nel 95 è già tanto che JLB possa ancora cantare! In concerto nella seconda metà dei 90 era in grossa difficoltà. Dopodiché secondo me ha recuperato fin troppo bene. Certo qualcosa è perso irrimediabilmente, e gli anni passano per tutti: qualcuno ha sentito Geoff Tate ultimamente? Luppi è molto bravo, ma lo vorrei sentire dopo tutta una carriera fatta ad alti livelli con centinaia e centinaia di concerti uno dopo l'altro che ti sfasciano la gola!

A me questo cantante continua a non piacere e non solo dal punto di vista stilistico, che comunque è un concetto largamente opinabile, ma dal punto di vista tecnico: è espressivo come una murena! Ha una fantastica voce ma un disco cantato interamente da lui è pesantissimo, canta tutto con la medesima intensità... ci sono tanti cantanti italiani bravi, fatevi sentire e non puntate solo al dio soldo e cercate di cantare come ferro o pausini

E' la solita critica che viene fatta a Luppi..a mio avviso perchè nn si sa dove altro attaccarsi!Ora io rispetto la tua opinione..ma parli di tecnica e poi di espressività!Son due concetti ben diversi!Luppi tecnicamente è Dio!Che poi sia poco espressivo nn c'entra niente con la tecnica in quanto tale!Cmq per te può essere poco espressivo..niente da dire..io lo ascolto molto volentieri!

1)Parli come se io ce l'avessi con Luppi, quando non è ho assolutamente motivo;
2)L'espressività si ottiene con lo studio e quindi, in parte, con la tecnica;
3)Non ho detto che non deve piacere perchè non ho mai parlato di gusti ma ho parlato con coscienza di qualcosa di tangibile: la professionalità;
4)Io amo la musica, soprattutto la classica (il mio campo) e il metal, e mi batterò sempre perchè siano fatte come si deve;

Se è per questo io lo conosco anche un po' meglio perchè andavo a scuola e dopo ho continuato a suonare con Puleri, poi io ho preso la strada della lirica e lui ha continuato..... so quello che dico. L'unica cosa che hai davvero dentro e che non ti da nessuno è il talento, e Luppi indubbiamente ne è provvisto, per questo dico che potrebbe fare molto meglio. Tutto il resto si può imparare, più o meno bene a seconda di quanto si è dotati e quanta testa si impiega.

Non metto in dubbio che tu sappia quello che dici...ma nn posso essere assolutamente d'accordo con te se metti in dubbio professionalità e tecnica di Luppi!E non credo ci possano essere interpretazioni diverse circa questi due aspetti!A me piace Luppi come "interprete"...parliamo di emozioni che uno suscita mentre canta in fin dei conti no?quindi credo sia abbastanza soggettivo...

Io amo semplicemente la musica e l'arte in genere e sono troppo convinto che c'è un modo giusto e un modo sbagliato per fare le cose, e soprattutto odio quando ci sono le persone che dicono che la l'arte è per tutti: NON E' VERO! A me Labrie piaceva qualche anno fa, adesso è alquanto mediocre, e per motivi sicuramente validi i dream non lo hanno sostituito, ma pur essendo un ottimo cantante, non è più al livello degli altri componenti. Prova a sentire il disco "A change of seasons", e prova a sentire qualche live degli ultimi anni e senti la differenza.

DT has much more control, and play way better. The vocalist's voice can always be argued, but I really prefer James' soft and high vocal.

E' da dire che LaBrie ce l'aveva una voce così, solo che con l'età e tutto il resto ormai è giù di tono. Luppi ha una voce stupenda ma vedrai che con il passare del tempo calerà anche lui. Ascolta le canzoni del gruppo di James, Winter Rose (per esempio la canzone My Time) e poi dimmi che ne pensi ;)
