I never did figure out this damn game! Drove me freak'n nutz! It looks so cool, & I really wanted to learn how to play, but I didn't buy it, just rented it a few times & there was no manual. Then with the introduction of emulators, I got it, but still, no manual. Could anybody off a few tips please? Preferably key commands, basic instructions, etc. If so, thanks. If not, then,.....too bad for me i guess.

PS, ever played Mega-Lo-Mania aka Tyrant! ? It's a really cool game. I think it is a little less known, but from this same era.
I don 't know if it's worth the effort. It's an atmospheric game, but most games really just involve capturing a big town, and getting them to invent a catapult. That thing just mows everthing down. Really imbalanced. Reapeat formula for oh, 500 times? I gave up after about 100 maps.
I had this for the mega cd. We couldn't for the life of us work out how to play this game.

Used to rent this as a kid - was soooo good, even if I couldn't figure out much beyond making pikes and occasionally arrows.

manual wouldnt help it was a brilliant game for time but it was too difficult because of the awkward controls and limited view, i want a remake!

@gjc82071 I can't recall all keyboard shortcuts at this time, but here's a few (some might be off):
1-3: Agressive mode set to 1-3
A: Attack
M: Move
F: Gather food
I: Invent
G: Gather troops
Keep in mind that some commands (such as the gather commands) have different effects depending on your current aggressive mode.

great game i remember spending hours on my atari st, never could get anywhere near finishing it, it was vast. but playing it now seems impossible..
