We had Martin Block's radio show in the late 1950's when we in Singapore were introduced to Rock n Roll and the early stars. I remember his wonderful voice as he started his Top Twenty(?)program reminding his audience that it was being beamed thru "AM - FM in New York". Didn't know what it meant...didn't matter, the music was all that we wanted. He usually approached the top three hits of the week with a Rusty Draper song called "The Magic Circle". Thanks for the posting. Andy Singapore
The Make Believe Ballroom Time, brings back a lot of memories when growing up in the 1950s Martin Block, was the first radio DJ that started it all on radio.
Was a great station playing great standards, recall 50's-80's with Willie B, Ted Brown {Warm Up That Coffee Mama-Cause I'm Coming Home}, Gene Clavin & Finch, Lonny Star, Milkman Matinee, was a good time with good music and plenty of laughs, thanks.
Grew up with WNEW, Martin Block and William B. They were the best. This little clip brings back incredible memories.

Going down to broadway to see plays helps keep this type of music alive. I wish Jaye P Morgan and Jane Morgan were young again.

I was on Al Jarvis' Make Believe Ballroom TV show about 1957. I did a monologue. Now that would be stand up comedy.
