  • charlie chaplin is god and nobody never will do the things that he did, because he is the king in the cinema, and speak about movies begin with chaplin and finish with chaplin because chaplin is the cinema

  • buster keaton is better:)

but i guess chaplin is amazing too.

    :) both of them really.

  • That's not something you guess, Chaplin is so talented and has inspired the hole world.

He's like the film art's father.

    He is good! :D

  • Dear Nordenwald, I've seen his films and these PBS TV documentaries

about Chaplin..and..the stuff I've seen I can miss!

  • Thank you so much for posting this. I wish they had included an interview of Brownlow & Gill in the DVD, as their story of how they recovered the footage must be as interesting as the footage itself.

  • Can someone give me a resume? I didn't understand so much, hahah. :b

  • then go away.

  • Oooh really? Then I feel really, really sorry for you my friend. Truly, you have just no idea what you're missing.

  • Brownlow (along with the late Gill) almost single-handedly saved the priceless legacy of silent cinema from destruction. Many thanks.

  • Unknown Chaplin has to be the finest documentary on movies ever.

  • Also I do think Leonard Maltin is pretty much Orville Reddenbacher like, he's smart, but he's boring. But hey what else are film critics?

  • Yes, I'm afraid Entertainment tonight long ago turned into T&S Tonight.. Tabloids and Sluts. Why didn't the just leave that crap to Inside Edition and treat the public with intelligence, actually I don't think many people watch ET anymore.. no matter what the stupid Nielsens say.

  • I love both Kevin Brownlow and Leonard Maltin. Thanks for sharing.

  • You hardly see stuff and that on et anymore, just paris hilton

  • Yeah, ET really lost something when they stopped having Maltin as a regular. BTW Unknown Chaplin is now on DVD and worth hunting down.

  • all hail brownlow!
