Evony Age II: Taking a LVL12 Historical city

I may be able to get slight help from my alt, which is weak, and my friend who plays, but max help there is some spam waves say 150k warriors total. My main problem will be hero attack, because my best hero is at attck 175, which sucks ass. I'm still farming for those gems, but thats going slow. Any ideas? Any advice would be awesome. I have probably 10 heros with attack over 100, 5 with attack over 125. I know, it blows, especially for 1.4 mil prestige. Still. Can you help me?

So what troops would you say bare minimum? I'm a baron working on viscount on na27. I have I lvl 10 and another city for resources. I'm getting another lvl 10 from someone soon and may be able to get a third. I currently have 150k archers and 700k warriors in my lvl 10, along with about 50k archers and 50k warriors in my other city. Total troops is about 750k warriors, 250k archers, 25k sword and pike. I should be able to nearly double that in 3 weeks with another 10, which I'll get in a week.

@GamerInc98 dont need a vid for that...look for a 12 with Cav, Pike, ram...yes PIKE.

Then send an ensigned 125k ballist wave with your best hero with FULL uprise buff. Usually your King/queen. Has to have at least a full 9 star set....works best with a full 12 set. has to be 460 attack, rest of the gear on intel. 9 star will lose about 30k ballist, 12 star will lose about 12k.....this will kille verything in the 12 in 1 shot...follow up wit normal loy waves

@nathan021ify Good point. The drafts make it interesting. You can get free daily drafts from nearby NPC10's and player cities in a 10 mile radius Those daily drafts more than make up for the losses you have when taking the city

Are you using autoheal? if you're not, how much did you have left after taking that HC? you started out with 800k archers... and after?

@FudgieBoobs yes Autoheal...total cost was about 500k arch...this was the 4th or 5th 12 capped on that server, so this cap happened very early on when everyone had low troops/stars/gear.. when hero atks are higher, losses are less

first of all this guy is doing it all wrong, losing way to many troops, if you are soloing 12 it shouldn't take more than 1 min from start to finish, and you dont need to even be close to the 12, i prefer to go on sword/cav/ram you can either hit with a few pure 100k hits of pikes or a 20/80 combo of pike/wars only need about 5 of those, make sure all heros are 100 for leadership, after pikes hit with 1-2 pures to trade fire with archers and kill them, then rainbows and it should breakprettyeasy

@Missshitman if your sending from a regular city i would send 60k ballista 2k sword 2k pike 61k archers (use a war harn) second wave should be 123k archers 2k pike 2k sword and it should be broken. only hit if its a sword cav ram or pike cav ram combo tho i prefer sword i used to play na4 i owned the lvl 16 known as Paris and hosted the number one alliance for 8 months before i quit playing. Hope this helped

Tried this week, your exact scenario pretty much down to a "T".

Got completely wrecked. 50x 3k warriors, Warrior Wave, Pikeman Wave (just in case), Archer Rainbow Waves.

I think when they patched the capture queen/king thing they might have somehow modified the defense algorithm.

@BHShaman Pikeman Wave (just in case) <-- Thats where you went wrong. Killing too much Cav bypasses the archers...lookup "archer trade fire" in the forums and try to understand why its important.

Just wondering, did you Intentionally stuff up the layers on the first wave? you send 0000 swords Instead of 2000, I'll be basically following your method In a couple of days, with a few slight changes. I'll be using all War Ensigns, and changing the spam waves a bit. I'll record It and post It as a response to this.

@Digitus250 Hey, I was just wondering what your take was on the different combos that the 12 can have. I heard that pike/balls/cav were the best combo, but this is totally different. Have you tested both methods and which works better in your experience? Also, are rams even used defensively better than balls? Thanks!

@semune With swords, you can kill enemy arch on the first strike. With pikes you cant. I think sword/cav/ram is the best combo, pik/cav/ram is second best. All other combos cost a LOT more to conquer. Especially with phracts
