No shit they had to slice the drum segments and sample it cuz the bpm on the drumming parts is too fast to keep up for a whole fucking song.
Damn i really miss the old BBS. The old songs were really catchy as hell as a tune but the new songs they made is has catchy lyrics. I guess they traded beats for lyrics.
I didn't know this song was on any soundtrack! I didn't see this movie but if I did and heard this I would have freaked. My favorite song on Out Loud. HUGE BBS fan here.
Listening to the song coming through both headphones, it kinda slides between the two and makes my eyes go from side to side following the music in my ears XD
yeah i forgot BBS was in the soundtrack to this. this was before they started releasing their random j-rock/punk crap. i'm all for musical development, but to go from something as sick as this to what they're bringing out now? it's like metallica cutting their hair and releasing "load".
but then i suppose you can only release a record as incredible as "out loud" once in any lifetime.
anyone ever heard of the phrase ''Breaks''? The drum is sampled and sliced like a cheesecake.. Put it in any order you like.. And you will and up with this!!
dude... i saw them live and their drummer plays everything in a live format regardless of how it is on the CD. my head almost exploded when he went into the break in "an owl".
he didn't play scatterin' monkey (i WISH), but they played all of "an owl", including the crazy drum part before the main break as well as stuff like fogbound. but like the guy before said, it doesn't really matter since it sounds great.
as a side note, this song was also used in the japanese movie "ping pong". just remembered.
lol I remembered when I was watching the movie in theaters with my friends, when the scene at the club appeared with that song on the background I was like "OMG BBS!!!" My friends stared at me for 3 seconds... :D
lol i was to fixed on the movie and didnt hear the song. I know of BBS from the Fogbound single thanks to Ridge Racer 5. I started checking their other stuff today and they are now my favorite band.
Wow, something besides Anime/CGI acknowledging Boom Boom Satellites! Awesome! I had no idea this song was played during the Club scene (must buy DVD).
An old favorite. Dance music in a 7/8 signature. Sweet. Then to hear it in Dark Knight, maybe 6 years later? Double-sweet. Thanks for posting this tune.
:) The part where Batman (obviously pi**ed off at Gordon's 'apparent' death) beats the $h*t outta Maroni's men at the nightclub is excellent - I've always wanted to see Batman in a nightclub beating dudes up - especially in a live action film. It almost reminded me of The Batman/Superman Movie (animated) bit where Batman is looking for The Joker :)
Hell, i went with my best friend and the minute I heard it I looked at her and whispered "Boom Boom Satellites" with a smile. She looked at me and said reluctantly "I know." because I have forced her to listen to BBS and nothing else for the better part of a year. Now she's hooked :)
I did the said the same thing to my manager today while we were in the arcade, watching the movie for the first time. I was listening to the old "Out Loud" CD in my car before I got to work! What a coincidence!! He gets all his BBS songs from me ever since we saw Appleseed 2004.

uhm.. why the hell does it matter it CAN be played with ease (not me)
and in any case their music rocks!
JudgementRyu999 2 years ago
32nd note kick drums? What about the snare rush, likely 1,024th notes at 0:43?
The music is still badassery to the max but the drums are programmed, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

exactly it doesnt matter in any case :D
