Mine did the same exact thing. Turned out it was the contact between the pill and the tube. Could have added a bit more sloder or filed it down and added an o-ring. I added the o-ring and it's flawless. The assembly on these lights are terrible. Fingerprint on the inside of the glass lens, loose pill, dirty emmitter. If you are willing to give it a tune up they are great. It's a shame they basicly ruin good parts with sloppy assembly.
might not be the tailswitch...it might actually be the bulb terminals :( my drop in mod for my Ultrafire wf501-b does the same thingy because i accidentally loosened the chip from the reflector housing, and the solder joints don't always remain in contact..if it's the tailswitch, you'll see two holes if you take it off the torch body. stick a couple pens and rotate it until it comes out...you'll see a spring, the clicky button and a foilish connector thingy. try removing/ reseating everything..
Yeah i def. won't be buying this. I bought 2 led flashlights for 3 dollars from dx and the same thing happened with the tail switch. I thought it was because of the cheap price, but I guess not
Damn this what happened when you bought something from HK/China or something like that. Their costumer service suck, they also take a long time to deliver our order damn!

Yeah tapping it gonna make it better. Put o-ring between lens and remove solder from driver board simple as that. Now you can use 10440 too. Yeehaw

i hv done a test with the tailswitch removed, using a paper clip to contact the battery & the torch body, the light works perfectly.
i saw the spring at the tailswitch, im unable to rotate it out. anyway, DX had replaced a new torch & it works seamlessly~ :)
