  • An absolutely beautiful piece from an extraordinary film. I was first introduced to the movie and Philip Glass by my father as a small boy, the music in particular struck a chord with me and has remained with me ever since. I heartily suggest checking out some of Philip Glass's symphony's if you love this

  • Also one of my favorite authors and one of my favorite composers. It is a stunning piece of cinema. Performances top rate by all and haunting images & music that stay with anyone.

  • This is one of my favourite films. I think Schrader and Glass got an amazing masterpiece, an unconventional biopic about an unconventional man. The music is an essential part of this achievement. Thank you very much for uploading it.

  • @Neathara No Problem, I too agree that the music plays a very important role in the film, thanks for listening.

  • I'm very thankful for the uploads. Mishima is my favorite author and Philip Glass really honors his writings in this film with his hypnotic music. Nice to find admirers of Mishima on youtube.

    Yamato damashi.

  • @Combat242 You're very Welcome! Enjoy!

  • An amazing piece of music. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks so much for posting this!

  • You're so very welcome! Enjoy!

  • Did you know that this film actually has never come out in Japan? I heard it is due to a consideration to his family. I personally loved the aesthetic and theatrical indoor set, for I was a theater major. I love the soundtrack too. Glass is just genius! Wasn't this track in Truman Show also, BTW?

  • Yes it was.

  • @crazyboyfromjapan

No, not on Truman, however Phillip Glass, his music all sound the same or at least has similar themes, or similar sounding music, everything from Truman, Quatsi Trilogy, and some of his concerto

  • @crazyboyfromjapan

    Also Fog of War

  • Thanks for the info! The Quatsi series was interesting watch. I've never seen the Fog of War, though I've seen the its trailers.

  • @crazyboyfromjapan

Well I just got Fog of War for Christmas, it is really good, if you want to learn the thinking behind the cold war and vietnam, very interesting indeed. And when RSM, talks about Kennedy's death, he almost brings tears. For a man that almost everybody hates in America I found much sympathy and agreed with him on certain issues

  • Incredible film & incredible and perfect score.

  • You're Welcome! Enjoy

  • This song truly describes Epicness.

I closed my eyes while falling asleep to this song, and I dream of stars blinking and touching. Philip Glass clearly knows how to make great pieces.

1:50 is my favorite part of the entire song

  • I just wanted to say that this music made me jizz my pants. I shall now go and get this movie and this soundtrack. I didn't even know the existence of this biopic! Thank you so much!

  • You're Welcome! And yes please do as I did and buy the movie and the soundtrack, I liked most of the soundtrack but have not had the chance to see the movie in full yet.

  • Thanks for the upload of this fantastic piece of music

  • No problem, I plan to try and get some of the other songs from the soundtrack uploaded as well.

  • Please do!

  • Finally it's on Youtube!! Thanks mate!

  • You're Welcome! Enjoy
