you certainly realize the things you wrote are absolutely stupid and that they don't have anything to do with what the Bible means... they come from a great ignorance of the Bible and of the Christian religion. this is so clear, that no one could believe in your words... sorry.... bless you...
Well done! You really proved the master manipulation of the wandering magician. How on earth did so many people become, so brainwashed? You should do a video on the book of revelations, it's like a bad acid trip, someone had a bit too much to drink when that was written.
That's one of the theories. If you notice, both John and... I think Daniel? Maybe Isaiah. Anyway, both of them ate a "little scroll" which tasted sweet but "made their belly bitter."
Kinda sounds like an acid tab huh? Both ate this "little scroll" before seeing their trippy visions.
"and it's whispered that soon if we all call the tune, then the piper will lead us to reason, and the new day will dawn for those who stand long, and the forest will echo with laughter."
I'm tossing around the idea of forming the church of Led Zeppelin, all you have to do is quote Zeppelin songs in response to bible quotes, what do ya think?
You should have included the story about how god tells some guy that he has to kill his own son to prove his faith in Jesus. And the old guy almost killed his son! What a retarded brainwashed idiot he was! Wow, I can' t believe that any christian who knows about this story would believe that christianity is something good. Of course, there are more violent religions out there (like Islam), but Christianity is a very retarded religion too and your video proves that. :)
Also, if the name of the woman with the perfume was Brittany, you could have put the infamous "Leave Britney alone!" quote as a background sound at 3:47(LOL, I'm into YouTube poops). That would've been funny as hell! xD
And yes, you're right that only a very naive person would believe in bullshit like the Christian religion (or any religion, actually).
I wanted to focus on Jesus as a human being, and not what he may have done before his human incarnation.
And Islam is only more violent because it still holds a lot of power in certain areas of the world. Christianity was just as violent, or moreso, when it held all the power. Judaism was exactly the same.
The victims of the inquisitions will agree with you about that. And so do I.
I hate my family (all of them are christians). My mother has always asked me why is that. Now I can tell her: "Jesus wants me to hate you! You want me to follow Jesus' orders, right?"
And all the nations the ancient Israelites exterminated because Yahveh commanded them to.
As for the hate thing, Christians claim that "hate" simply means "love less." My question is why they didn't just write "love less," and why the translations never translate it as "love less" if that's what it actually means. I have yet to get an answer to that question.
My parents raised me as a christian but after 16 years, it was enough and my eyes were opened. I came to know the truth behind christianity and I'm still discovering new things. Like I never was aware of the fact that calling people fools would drag you to hell, but is used by jesus himself.
In all fairness it says you will be in DANGER of hellfire, not that it is a sin that will instantly send you to Hell. I'm sure most Christians would be quick to point that out.
The stuff with the Samaritan woman was dispicable, however, and the part with the fig tree and the scented oil showed Jesus' childishness and greed,
I was hoping that if you found this obscure out of context stuff, you must've also read the philosophical stuff such as "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" and "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". But then I see in the comments that you based this on a biased comic. Emphasis on bias. I'm sorry the JW's turned you so pessimistic. I think the JW's would turn any free thinker atheist. I don't acknowledge the JW Jesus any more than I acknowledge the South Park "God".
And I never said I based it on any comic, I said some of the examples were inspired by it from years ago. Please tell me how any of these are out of context. I'd love to hear it, considering I've seen dozens of Christians make the same claim then fail to explain how.
"Based on" and "inspired by" is different wording for the same thing. It's out of context, in that, is that an accurate representation of his overall message, or is it a careful selection of excerpts, chosen to make your point, not his?
I'm not a Christian. I'm not interested in Jesus as a deity, only as a teacher. I'll admit, to degree, he was full of shit. Many people are, especially in those days. But, it's the people who made up the religions who are the most full of shit. I think those are the ones you're really at odds with. Using Jesus' worst examples as proof that all his teachings are no good is equal to me using Maggie Mae as proof that the Beatles are no good.
I didn't say it was proof all his teachings were no good. I said it was proof that he was, in fact, a selfish hypocritical xenophobic prick. Until I see this evidence that my examples were out of context - and I daresay I never will - I will continue to believe it.
When I looked these passages up and researched them(imagine that) I avoided ones that were out of context. I found many that were, that people cite often, and I avoided those. These are all completely in context.
I'm not trying be adversarial, man, but again, we're mired in technicalities, distracted from the issue. I'm saying out of context with the primary message. What kind of context are you talking about, how can we get past it, and actually talk?
Anyway, the thing about the Canaanite is racist, yeah. But, Jews were raised to believe they are superior to all else, it's part of their culture. Probably why they are often disliked and mistrusted. Not by me, I don't care.
Anyway, there're layers, even to that. He went ahead and did it, didn't he? A lot of what he did, was to put away the old ways, and make new ways. If we could see the expression on his face, he might've been like "Damn dirty Canaanite uh, okay, heres your miracle, keep it on the downlow. Besides, for an atheist, you're putting too much stock in the fairy tales. It didnt actually happen. Neither did the tree thing. The writers just had to give their hero superpowers, to compete in the field.
The point is, I'm sick of hearing how Jesus was all peace and love and flowers and beads and delicious bubblegum. He wasn't, and this video was to prove that. I don't believe any such person ever existed to begin with. I realize it didn't actually happen, but that's totally besides the point that his character was not one of hippy free love for all.
Yes, he was. But, the person who apparently wronged you in his name was not. Whatever that person did to you, Jesus wouldn't've done. I hope someday you can realize that, because you're missing some really good material, from the Serman On The Mount. There are clues to the meaning of life, in that lecture. That proves to me he was real, because if the writers had come up with anything so great, they'd want the credit for themselves. All else was bullshit, to get him famous. To get the word out.
Why do people assume I was terribly wronged simply because I don't believe in Jesus? I have seen no evidence whatsoever that any such person ever existed.
I'm not missing out on any good material - I already acknowledged that there is both good and bad in the Bible, and in Jesus' teachings. But again, I get sick of hearing how Jesus was all peace and love and the negative things he did are totally overlooked.
Buddha taught all the positive things Jesus did and none of the negative, btw.
I like Buddha too, he's good. When I said "wronged", I have no clue how or to what degree, but even as much as you were brainwashed by the Jehovah's Witnesses, you were wronged. I completely understand about your backlash. But, I don't want to see you miss out on something good, because of it. JW's take a good thing, and twist it into something bad. If a chocolate cake had shit mixed with the icing, I'd understand an aversion to chocolate, for awhile. But, it's not the chocolate, it's the shit.
Like I said, I am not saying there is nothing good in the Bible. I quote Jesus regularly, believe it or not. I also quote the Old Testament because there are good things in there, mixed in with the genocide and enslavement and so forth. However, I'm not going to let someone tell me that the God of the Old Testament was all love when he was commanding people to rape little girls, or tell me Jesus was a free love hippy when he said and did hateful things.
I'll give you this; it was the stuff you're talking about that caused me to break away from my religion, in the first place. I was raised Christian. Reading the Bible though, I had a lot of "what the hell?" moments. I just didn't turn away from it completely, I keep the good stuff and throw away the bad. So, we don't completely disagree, we're just not mirror images of each other, that's all. Who'd wanna be that, with anybody, anyway?
By the way, if you get the time, check out my newest two videos. The second one isn't up yet, should be up within an hour at the most I hope, but I think you will find them interesting. They explain the origins of the Seventh Day Adventists and the Witnesses and some of their teachings and how they came directly from spirit mediums and occultism.
yeah right, i can't remember, i knew it years ago but have 4got. I'd have to pull up my sleeves and do a search :) U ever read the Apochrypha or woteva it's called?
As far as I know the apocrypha were books in the Catholic Bible that are not found in the standard Bible. I used to own a Catholic Bible, so I've read through those books, but I don't recall any specific details about them besides that one of them mentions Cleopatra.
Sort of. I used a few lists of negative shit Jesus said and did to compile it as well as some stuff from memory. I was also inspired by a comic - I tried hard to find it but couldn't - it was a comic strip story of Jesus. One scene which always stuck in my head was the woman begging Jesus to help her daughter, she was on her knees panting and Jesus was saying "Now sit up and bark like a dog" and all the apostles were laughing.
SAGFWEG@#%^
Wow....I used to think Jesus was the only decent person in the bible, besides all the people being shit on by god.
But damn...that quote about poor people, what an arrogant ass.

In anyway, I had use of this video and I thank you kindly for making and posting it.
