  • hey guys to charge you just "plug it into ur house (hillbilly accent)

  • how long does it take to ride before u need to recharge

  • It takes about 6 hours to charge a fully discharged battery pack.

  • it would suck to crash on it

  • lol stealth missions.

  • Tre flip anyone?

  • I have it

  • I like how riding one of these takes absolutely no skill or effort, and that guy still falls down. 1:10

  • I just got one yesteryday and it says it has a 11 mile range but I can only like ride with it for and hour and then I drove like 3 miles I think

  • that would mean you were going only 3 miles per hour?

The 11 mile range is realistic and I have been able to go even a little further under pretty ideal conditions: fully charged battery pack, level, smooth surface, average speed of 10-15 mph, fully inflated tires, etc. If you add hills, rough surfaces, lots of accelerating/ breaking, wind, etc, the range will be smaller.

  • How long can they last.

    like how many years?

  • @phonix747 They can last many years if maintained properly. The batteries need to be maintained like a car battery. The are rated for 300-400 charge cycles, then have to be replaced. Other common wear and tear parts are the drive wheel tire, inner tube, and drive belt. Check shop.bionicwheels(dot)com for parts prices etc.

  • Where can I buy 1 of those?

  • @thephillroosterkid bionicwheels(dot)com

  • What song is this ?

    :)

  • @AlexisLee13 Time, by Alvah Music, you can find them on myspace

  • i got also a electric skateboard but it goes 30 km a hour

  • These things are weak. I outperform this p.o.s. in stamina and maximum and average speed on any ride I take that isn't cut short due to time constraints or weather. I grew up pedalling and pushing, thank you very much. I agree with the comments regarding "fat kid toys." Never have I heard that term before, but it is sad to so many young kids lazily riding around on powered crap. I currently ride the Arbor Koa Pin, Hybrid, and Oso decks daily in a mixture of set-ups.

  • P.S.

    I'm old.

    P.S.S.

    1:46-1:52

  • Can't you just change the wheels on the regular altered and make it a off road board?

  • more fat kid toys

  • how long is the battery like as in will it need to be replaced every so often

  • try doing a kickflip on that thing!!! XD

  • @TheJiba hey moron, what straps are you talking about? even if there were foot straps, those dont help you stay balanced. are you just high on something?

  • doesn't it pull to one side if only one of the rear wheels is powered?

  • the song is by Alvah Music and is called "Time". Their myspace page is alvahmusic

  • 'the song is by Alvah Music and is called "Time". Their myspace page is alvahmusic"

    I couldn't find a song called "time" ?

  • hey it's dumb but, any other kind of board is appreciated

  • @krumdumb83 electricity doesn't ruin our planet dumbass. but think of all the chemicals it took to produce that skateboard. gee i wonder where they are now. and not to mention where that battery will end up when it doesn't work anymore. if you raelly want to go green WALK.

  • HPD ever give you guys trouble in town? Or do electric skates fall under the same laws as Segways? Anyone ever skate around the Ala Wai, Waikiki or Magic Island and get hassled?

  • @samuroid HPD is pretty cool, no hassles if you are respectful. They usually just want to check it out, wishing they had one to patrol on.

  • how much/??

  • the off road model is $799, the street model is $599. you can order them through our website at bionicwheels(dot)com

  • @bionicwheelshawaii whats the actual industrial cost? 25$ or less?

  • this is pretty cool , but i know for a fact i would bust my ass on one of this haha

  • clearly mountainboards

  • awesome :[)

  • sweat wid how fast can they go i have the m4

  • how do you use the brakes on those? how do you accelerate or gain speed?

  • you pull on the wireless handheld remote to accelerate and push forward to brake. Check our website for more information

  • @slashoasis156 It is a button on the skadeboard and you have to press it with your foot to accelerate. And to brake it is a break on the back wheel and you have to press that one too....

  • where can i buy one??

  • you can buy one at bionicwheels(dot)com

  • Wouldn´t it be cool if downhill sections recharged it, like the regenerative braking on electric motorcycles?

  • they actually do use regenerative breaking

  • I would love to have a version with 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. Solar deck would also be appreciated !

  • these are awesome, i gotta get one ! :-)

how much do they weigh ?

  • The Altered M6 (off road tires, 800W motor) weighs 65 lbs. For specs and more information, please visit bionicwheels(dot)com

  • cool what better place to do that too

  • would be cool to cruise around in haha.

but the cheapest i found was 400 quid?

    Fuck off with that shit.

  • SICK

  • very cool!! i gotta check one of those things out..

seems like it'd be a ton of fun blasting around late at night..

  • im gonna buy one of these to ride to work on lol

  • i like how it powers it from underneath the board not on top like the gas ones, the engine takes up half of the board!

  • It turns like a regular skateboard, by leaning into the turn. The M6 800W board has the big tires, it is rated at 20 mph top speed but I have gone up to 25 mph on it.

  • what is the skateboard model with the big tires ?

  • how fast it can go?

  • its cool but now do a kickflip...

  • i like the way its electric and not runnig on fucking fuel that ruins our planet!

  • @mynameisdrummerkevin Well, the electricity has to be produced somewhere? Running on a normal skateboard is the best! :)

  • @mynameisdrummerkevin You needa burn stupid resources to make electric.

  • @mynameisdrummerkevin hhmmmm, how do you produce electricity. fossil fossil fuels??????????????

  • @mynameisdrummerkevin I reckon we still pollute in order to generate the electricity needed for the battery on these. Solar-powered would be nice :D

  • @mynameisdrummerkevin doesn't it occur to you that most of our electric comes from coal? come on now...

  • @mynameisdrummerkevin i just ride a longboard, powered by foot and gravity.

  • @mynameisdrummerkevin oh shut up you damn hippie. -.-

  • Would be cool to go to school with 1 of those

  • If you want something like that does as I did. You buy a gas (or electric if you want) and you hack the rear engine mount, engine, wheel and brake..like the whole back end and mount on a mountain board cut in half. The only problem is getting a cheap mountain board. I got lucky and found a used one in my area for $50, but new a good one is around $750. :(

  • ok, I can't post links but you can order it at

    shop.bionicwheels(dot) com or

    blueplanetsurf(dot) com

The price of $899 includes UPS ground shipping to your door (any US address).

  • I'm in Wisconsin. How do I go by getting this electrical skateboard?

  • try mountainboard ;)

  • just got the green machine, love it! haven't had this much fun since i was a kid, but remember, the instructions say to "lightly" pull the trigger lol. i pressed it too hard the 1st time and it took off, i almost ate it haha.

the only problem i had is when i went to the store like the guy in the video says he does. the board's too heavy to carry around n i wasn't about to leave it outside where some1 could take it. is there a way to lock it that i don't know about? or an easy way to carry it?

  • you can try to use a cable lock and run it through the wheel hubs. I usually leave mine right outside the front door and take the remote control with me. The thing is pretty heavy to move without using the motor.

  • whats the name of the song pleease, i can't find it anywhere

  • the song is by Alvah Music and is called "Time". Their myspace page is alvahmusic

  • how many charges can i get off it before i need to switch out the battery?

  • my last post did not get posted because I put a link. The batteries are rated at 300 charge cycles. For more on batteries and maintenance, please visit my electric skateboard blog, you can find it through the links on our website:

  • too lazy to push or something has changed here in the world of skateboarding...? it's kinda too expensive as a toy too

  • Skateboards are great and electric skateboards will never replace them. They are a different animal and comparing a regular skateboard to an electric skateboard is kind of like comparing a bicycle to a motorcycle, not the same thing. They are not toys, for sure, and if you want motorized transportation, they are probably the most efficient, environmentally friendly, and affordable means of personal (motorized) transportation available today.

  • Please send me one asap

  • been ridding skateboard since I was 13 and commute to work on a non-eletric skate board daily...I am good

  • haha. seriously man. this is taking it pretty far.

  • Real world test: I timed myself (195 lbs) with a training GPS going 25 mph top speed on the 800 W off road model on a smooth level road, vs. 22 mph top speed on the street model. This does not sound fast but when you are riding a skateboard it feels damn fast. Top speed depends several factors: rider weight, wind, surface, steady, low drag stance, slope, battery, remote. These speed tests were on the 08 models. We expect the new, to be faster as they come with bigger diameter motors.

  • Which is faster, street or offroad model? and by how much?

Do you happen to know the song in the video? I couldn't find anything when I googled the lyrics

  • I'll try to find out about the song, I'll have to check with the guys from Billabong Surf TV that edited the segment.

Regarding the speed: The wheels on the 600 Watt street model have less drag than the 800 Watt off road model and despite the more powerful motor on the off road model, the top speed is almost the same, Altered rates them both at 20 mph top speed.

  • how much do those things cost and is it possible to do any tricks?

  • The 2009 Altered 600 Watt street model is $599, the 800 Watt off road model is $799, for tricks see other videos posted on youtube at bionicwheelshawaii
