I didn't know till recently that he was actually DK the first. He's made reference he was the arcade DK and DK Jr. is the modern Donkey Kong. I find it very interesting in the timeline that it's not messed up like Zelda.
Well, I wouldn't say DKCR sucks or anything, but if a game doesn't have the Kremlings, I don't think it has any right being called Donkey Kong Country. It's no Megaman 9, that's for sure.
You know what I miss? When video game consoles were made to play video games. What the heck happened when game systems started to get online services? Did someone think that playing games on your home console was not good enough so they added movies, music, and other stuff when you just need games to keep us happy? Making it more of a home computer then just a console. What happened to the old console way?

And when the mud was dry, we'd get a pocketful of quarters and go play some pac-man or galaga! And When we got game over, We had to start all over again! We didn't have checkpoints or Save Files! We had a single try, and Then we'd use another quarter. Well, i best get off to my nap now.

I tell you this generations to soft for my liking, all talk and no walk. Judging games by their graphics and online multiplayer...HA! No one would'a even believed you could play games over the internet back then! Sigh... woops, I lost my track'a time... gotta go.
If they had something like this in DKC returns I would cry with nostalga

BTW, this game was graphically ahead of it's time. Not exactly three-dimensional graphics, though.
