I've sen these kids before while visiting the Tap Out Gym and they are surprisingly normal and good all around kids...not cocky at all probably because they are surrounded by other talented kids. No doubt a sign of great parents! Kudos to their parents for supporting their kids' sport and passion for martial arts.
This kids are so awesome! It's so great that they're not only in such a great sport, but also in a sport that will keep them straight. You always hear how kids in MMA get better grades and never get involved in drugs or gangs. This is the only drug they need and want.
those little kids should not train mma at a younr age ffs there bodys havent even fully developed to take a guillotine (mind spellling) arm bars or tkos. this should be intended for ages 17+
@puppetmaster1777 football and hockey are a completly different sport they have added proection in MMA you are risking a broken arm or can be laid out unconsious. u see that little kid go for and armbar? that could nearly breack his arm off very unsafe shit they are doing. like GSP said younger kids that want to go into MMA should start out in gymnastics which is a good core
@Kino483 Gymnastics - In 1998, nearly 25,500 children and adolescents ages five to 14 were treated in hospital emergency rooms for gymnastics-related injuries. Among girls' sports, gymnastics has one of the highest injury rates, increasing with the level of competition. come on man..... 225 children and adolescents ages 14 and under died in bicycle-related crashes in 1997. shall we take their bikes away too? practicing MMA is much safer.
@Kino483 your right, with the introduction of helmets as a law its been reduced to a third of that so 70+ deaths not including the thousands and thousands of injuries. My point is, this is much safer than it actually looks, both my 5 year old boys practice mma in my gym and they are well supervised. these kids here are 10 years old and are also well supervised by the best in the world, what they are doing here is no worse than what they do with kids in amateur wrestling.
@puppetmaster1777 hmm i guess so. the evolution of mma is growing. when mma first appeared unto the world it was deemed an underground sport and banned from numerous states. but since government sanctioning and regulation helped it to become the safest sprot i guess your right. but if u put your kids in mma like 7 years ago it would be highly unsafe imo
I have 2 boys ages 5 and 10.they participate in every competitive sport cuz they choose to.However if I didnt give them the oppurtunity to, then when they were High School aged, they wouldn't be good enough to even make the football, baseball, soccer, basketball team and therefore it would be a missed oppurtunity.
My 10 year old has was diagnosed with ADAH 4 years ago.I am not a mother that would rather medicate my child while the t.v raises him so i can talk on the phone.I resent such an ignorant comment...
Do ur research b4 making such accusations about something u clearly dont know much about. Its heartbreaking. However, my point is that mma has been mostly an outlet for him 2 excel in, build his self esteem, helped him stand up for himself, and not care so much if he doesnt fit in as easily as other kids might. this was his choice and I will support him in it just as I do with all other contact sports, academics, and ethics...
From a professional stand point though, we tell our kids they can be whatever they wanna be & if he should wanna persue this professionallly, and I made him wait till he was much older, he wouldnt have the tools to do so, because i didn't give them to him. Most parents just love and want what is best for their children.Intentions make all the difference and no one knows what is right for a child more than a parent that loves them more than anything in the world
I was in Martial arts since I was 7 years old. It teaches discipline, promotes physical activity, and it actually keeps kids OUT of trouble. You don't see 14 year old black belts(yes there are quite a few) walking around a HS cafeteria breaking arms and punching people. MMA is no different. It's a dangerous sport like hockey or football and it takes a lot of training from a very early age. I seriously doubt these kids are fighting in matches every week, and no dumbass bullies will ever mess w em
I have all four of my kids in wrestling, 3 boys and 1 girl. There is a ton of commitment and discipline involved. My oldest son wrestles in college and my 2nd oldest son is a senior in HS does MMA. None of my kids have ever been in fights. Combat sports teaches you self control. It teaches you that there are consquences to actions and that you always remember think before you act. Some of you that comment negitively don't know crap about greatness. These kids with be great at whatever they do.
@ericwilmas Its true I am 21 and train in mma and I would never consider getting in a fight. Its dumb, and at my age its illegal. Ill save it for the gym.
@ericwilmas Completely agree..tremendous post..Martial arts has been a part of me since I was a child. I also have 2 kids who absolutely love it, and I want to get them into it soon, because I know how it affected me. So I completely concur, Sir.
My brother is a black belt in jiu-jitsu under Royler Gracie. I was raised watching jiu-jitsu and MMA (I'm a woman). Maybe that's why I'm so desensitized by it. On the contrary, I love it. My son, who's 6, already practices jiu-jitsu and muay-thay and will start, next year, wrestling. I really think that's the cutest commercial ever! So sorry I did not have this brilliant idea, that Tapout had, before.
I am a traditional martial artist whose studies include the MARTIAL ARTS IN MMA,not just the sport combat phase of MMA.We train like the Ruffo's and do muh more, including weapons. My 8 year old son has never sustained a single injury of any kind, and neither has his sister.Nor I.There is a very underrated safety factor that plays into safe training practices.Safety's important but this is in pursuit of performance oriented training. We don't sacrifice the latter for the former,we BALANCE THEM.

@locobass This is pure and unadulterated BS. Honor? Respect? Tradition? Rank? Traditional martial arts teach you dogma, teach you not to think for yourself, teach you obedience. I have trained in traditional martial arts far too long, and I have yet to see any "honor" in anything but superficial acts.

@vboytan yo must be a teenager thats why that kind of language
I dont even understand what you are saying
And I would never "Diss" MMA but i would train on a appropriated TIME, most of my friends are famous Vale tudo fighters from Brasil I grew up on that environment
@locobass "appropriate" time is a personal opinion and preference of the individual. There isn't anything wrong with training a young child in MMA as long as the kid likes it. Hey the sooner the better anyways, don't let your view be clouded by your righteous ego. What they're doing isn't wrong, it's actually very amazing. Look how good the kids are. If you told those kids they're to young to do all MMA they'd prolly tell you to screw off.
My sons are older now and respond by saying yes sir, no sir, they do their homework, do the dishes, train, help out the needy by donating clothing and food, etc.
We now live in the mommy generation thanks to alot of men not stepping to the plate and instilling discipline in young boys and girls, moms think the only discipline is to give a child meds to slow them down or sit them in front of a video game and get them out of moms hair while she talk on the phone and bitch about the husband that left her 10-15 years ago, i am a single dad, i stepped to the plate, i trained my sons.
My kids are 7 and 2 and & and I have all three of them learning all ready and my youngest is my baby girl and she's rougher than her two big brothers kids need to learn to defend themselves and discipline not in front of the tv get them in gyms
a ton of ppl think that this is bad for the kids, have you ever thought that this might be what the kids want? i doubt michael jordan, wayne gretsky, or david beckham, decided to do their sport out of no where at the age of 25. dont dumb kids down, because their not dumb, at their age, they know exactly what theyre doing, and theyre great at it.
These kids will be the epitome of the term douchebag when they grow up. Teaching kids a Traditional martial art is fine and dandy--they learn aspects of defending themselves, they learn respect, etc. MIXED martial arts in America, is something completely different. Gone are aspects of being respectful, being humble, etc. It's all about aggression, about disrespect, about superficial nonsense like clubbing, objectifying women, etc. And those qualities will inevitably pass to little kids like this
@JohnLeeMD dude regardless of what fighting style there always has to be discipline its not just mindless swinging they're trained to both fight and think as well...
@driftgod7 My overall point, is that MMA culture is one based on a meatheadedness that they don't need to see so young. To make another analogy: it's the potential loss/taking away of a kid's innocence that may be similar to child actors. Not to say that kids who do this will go down a bad path like a lot of child actors. But I think that it can expose them to stuff... to emotions, to attitudes that aren't healthy for impressionable little kids because the D-bag/meathead factor is so high.
@JohnLeeMD - you're seeing the picture the critics want you to see. Consider Georges St. Pierre, or Lyoto Machida, even Randy Couture - past and present champions. Watch their interviews to see how barbaric and unintelligent they are. You'll get a good look at all the debauchery that in their lives - their desire to maim their opponents, the illegal handguns they carry in their souped-up cars, the fights they start in nightclubs, the prostitution rings they run.... I'm with you on this one : )
some people talk about getting bad grades in school........it is the opposite, these kids learn a whole lot more than just fighting, disapline, hard work, and the determination to succeed.
Kids are skilled way beyond their years! Scared for their class mates though. The way they make them look, these kids are either currently punks, or will be in the years to come. I personally am not feeling this, but it's obviously a hit from all the defense here...
hey guys, I came here to talk down on two of the most talented future mma-stars cause i'm so insecure and i know talking down on little kids on the internet makes me cool.....right?
Ahhh good ol you tube. The place where grown men can talk shit on little kids and not get the shit kicked out of them... Way to talk behind the safety of the computer I hope the kids find u bitches and kick u guys in the dick
Part 2. I hope my kids can do this in a few years like these guys. Props to them. Also some of you guys cuzzing and calling names on here, remember how old these kids are and they might be proud that they're on youtube and show their friends and teachers and stuff and this is what they get to read. Come on think about it while your talking about the respect in TMA. Also not to bash anyone or any style but TMA's are dead if MMA is what you are trying to succeed at. Thanks
Why are there so many idiots on here? I have fought in the UFC and Pride and my kids are 9 and 10 and they just started training. I fell I'm late in starting them but waited till they wanted to do it. Without boasting about my kids the are the nicest sweetest kids you will meen but my 9 year old races MotoX too and he wanted a mohawk a few differentimes and I let him get them. He acts respectful to EVERYONE and isnot a S@#t starter. Its all about how you act. These kids look amazing and I
Talented future douche bags. The mohawk says it all. Nothing wrong with kids learning these great arts but I think someone should arrest the parent for giving his kid a hair cut that he probably talked his kid into getting. hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Training is good, but looks like the attitude is all wrong. The kids already look like douche bags. There is something to be said about traditional martial arts training and the humility and respect that come with it that I'm guessing these kids are lacking.
@patio87 Wow, way to judge someone on looks alone. I train in martial arts and I know people from both traditional and mma. I've met more traditional martial artists who were jerks than mixed martial artists. It's not the style, it's the individual people. If you really train in traditional martial arts, may I ask where the respect and humility you were just talking about went?
"Training is good, but looks like the attitude is all wrong. The kids already look like douche bags. There is something to be said about traditional martial arts training and the humility and respect that come with it that I'm guessing these kids are lacking."
I'm probably right. If not then I AM the douchebag, but I am probably right.
@patio87 - Are you serious? Get a clue - I've been training traditional martial arts, and have seen just as many douche bags. Get a life, quit talking trash on your little keyboard
"Are you serious? Get a clue - I've been training traditional martial arts, and have seen just as many douche bags. Get a life, quit talking trash on your little keyboard"
wow are you serious? now theyre even gonna make the little toddlers wear the stupid mohawks too? what are they trying to do get the whole word to kill themselves
@alec715 more people have died in the name of religion than in MMA. Throw in handguns for that matter. Odds are, these kids will grow up to be upstanding people and well rounded human beings.
@iratelyblank: congratulations, you've just won The DUMBFUCK OF THE YEAR award. My son trains in MMA and has been for 2 yrs. Now. Someone call the police, I'm abusing my son! PLEASE, I can't believe idiots like you exist!
@inkjunkee74 your a dumbass homosexual father who sucked on his daddys COCK who follow by his son who sucked on your COCK because your all inscest HOMOSEXUAL PEICE OF SHIT
Well if your gonna produce a champion it is best to start training as kids. Same can be said for boxers wrestler judoka who had became elite champions or Olympians. I can tell the difference between a practitioner who's been training for a couple of years and ones who have been training through out there life time. Fighters will develope a natural since for combat being able to throw strike submit on reflex without even thinking for a second is something most martial artist strive to achieve.
@iratelyblank ur rediculous and dont no what ur talking about ur just talking. i actually wrestle and love to wrestle why should i stop doing something i love? oh yeah and by the way, people get trophies by earning them not by complaining about not getting them
@ the retard who thinks this should be banned for kids - your a douche bag. if your a parent you prolly the biggest failure as one. your kids are gunna be fat fucks who get beat up. and prolly have low self esteem just like u.
these kids are healthy and will know how to defend them selves. thats great for them! these kids are awesome athletes. cant wait to see how they are when they are in their 20's fighting for something like UFC! how awesome would that be for them??
@zam4688 Yeah man its the same as taking them for KArate of TKD. I am a fat guy, but i was so damn strong i beat everyone up and i did sports (Boxing and Rugby). I wish i cud have done MMA as a kid, cause thats the only sport which i am really interested in at the mmnt. Deff if my country has MMA by the time i have kids, then deffnitely they will be the first to join!
@iratelyblank you have got to be the most retarded person I've found on YouTube if you think being a lazy fat ass is good for your health then keep doing that and let's see how long your heart keeps beating. Don't be a dumb ass
Part 2. they look to enjoy this and having fun. I cant play sports any more for an accident i had in the military during or PT session who cares let them at it if they are concentrated on the art and doing good in school rock on. Now they have money to go to college and make this country a better place for you and me to express our opinions openly as we do now, we could be like the south or north koreans where its mandatory to teach all kids martial arts. HMMMMMMM how about that.
This in not child abuse i am a hundred pounds overweight and l love it my kids choose to do martial arts i did not push them into it. Now if the kids are pushed into it well its a problem, just look at the situation who they are working out with some MMA greats guys that they seen on tv and so what if the dad started working them out at 18 months thats his choice and look at some the other vids. posted on the ruffo bros.
@TheRydaddyops910 this is obviously child abuse, you should let kids be kids instead of living out your failed childhood dreams through your children. So what if i'm 100lbs overweight, I got that way because I just like to sit and I like to eat in peace. Physical activity should be banned in America because it makes some people very uncomfortable. Why not give everyone a trophy?? I think I deserve a trophy for being a good person even if I am overweight and can't play sports.
@iratelyblank did you miss the part where they are LAUGHING at the end... its FUN for them you stupid ass!! "physical activity should be banned... REALLY your a stupid fucking moron!!
@iratelyblank your a loser, you can get a fat ass award. you cant do sports so you think everyone should do sports either??! u are sayin that the other dude couldnt live out his dreams so he wants kids to do it. what about u?? u think no one should do it because u cant either. stop trying to make other people feel sorry for you. kill your self you emo bitch
@iratelyblank - Thank you for the good laugh, fat ass. You will be dead by 50 from colen cancer, heart disease, or just being a freaking loser. You don't get a trophy for being a good person. That is EXPECTED of you! You get trophy's for being the best. Don't be mad because you stuff your face with taco bell and cannot get off of the couch. People like you is why Americans are looked at like fat retards. LOLOLOLOL
@iratelyblank thats your desicion to be fat and not like sports. did u ever think that these kids like mma? they obviously like what they do so u need to shut up
The child abuse comment is ridiculous but the comment about sissys is ridiculous as well. To me you sound like the dad that is yelling at every official because your kid is always right and everyone else is wrong. The country isn't turning out sissys, we're turning out a bunch of self absorbed kids that feel that they are ALWAYS right and deserve respect before they even know how to give it. If they don't get it, they'll beat it out of someone to get it. MMA is a great skill based sport!
@iratelyblank fuck you and your little comment. Obviously the kids are enjoying it. Is soccer child abuse? is football? You're probably some lazy bum that wakes up at 11 am and spends the rest of the day doing nothing. You're probably the type of person that thinks every kid deserves a trophy in little league as well. That's why America is turing into a bunch of sissy's. Don't even bother writing back. I will prove you wrong in every situation.
5star has kaimana McCreadie......and he is no joke.. bjj, wrestling, boxing, muay thai judo, sambo, taekwondo, all at the highest level. good luck to you. just ask the dad of these kids kaimana and carlos already rolled. enough said. team thunder.......
its funny that some of u are fighting over this....lol.. these kids are nice, so is the dad...my son wrestled the older one...and even though kaimana handled him pretty easy the kid never stop, he kept wanting to go more....that's a true champ...good kids...if u guys want we can train again were looking for partners in bjj, muay thai and wrestling...kaimana is 60 lbs.9 yrs. take care...
You kids are awesome. We are the twinfighters please google us Kaleb aguila and gervace aguila for our resume now 9 years old. We are known as the "twinfighters2000" on myspace been training mma since 4 years old. Let's get together we would travel just to meet u brothers and train;-). We train in wrestling, muay thai, boxing, karate and bjj. We have 13 belts combine not to include our countless trophies and medals.

LngHairDntCare69 1 year ago
a ton of ppl think that this is bad for the kids, have you ever thought that this might be what the kids want? i doubt michael jordan, wayne gretsky, or david beckham, decided to do their sport out of no where at the age of 25. dont dumb kids down, because their not dumb, at their age, they know exactly what theyre doing, and theyre great at it.
DRaMa2189 1 year ago 2
These kids will be the epitome of the term douchebag when they grow up. Teaching kids a Traditional martial art is fine and dandy--they learn aspects of defending themselves, they learn respect, etc. MIXED martial arts in America, is something completely different. Gone are aspects of being respectful, being humble, etc. It's all about aggression, about disrespect, about superficial nonsense like clubbing, objectifying women, etc. And those qualities will inevitably pass to little kids like this
JohnLeeMD 1 year ago
@JohnLeeMD dude regardless of what fighting style there always has to be discipline its not just mindless swinging they're trained to both fight and think as well...
driftgod7 1 year ago 2
@driftgod7 My overall point, is that MMA culture is one based on a meatheadedness that they don't need to see so young. To make another analogy: it's the potential loss/taking away of a kid's innocence that may be similar to child actors. Not to say that kids who do this will go down a bad path like a lot of child actors. But I think that it can expose them to stuff... to emotions, to attitudes that aren't healthy for impressionable little kids because the D-bag/meathead factor is so high.
JohnLeeMD 1 year ago
@JohnLeeMD - you're seeing the picture the critics want you to see. Consider Georges St. Pierre, or Lyoto Machida, even Randy Couture - past and present champions. Watch their interviews to see how barbaric and unintelligent they are. You'll get a good look at all the debauchery that in their lives - their desire to maim their opponents, the illegal handguns they carry in their souped-up cars, the fights they start in nightclubs, the prostitution rings they run.... I'm with you on this one : )

Training is good, but looks like the attitude is all wrong. The kids already look like douche bags. There is something to be said about traditional martial arts training and the humility and respect that come with it that I'm guessing these kids are lacking.
patio87 1 year ago
@patio87 Wow, way to judge someone on looks alone. I train in martial arts and I know people from both traditional and mma. I've met more traditional martial artists who were jerks than mixed martial artists. It's not the style, it's the individual people. If you really train in traditional martial arts, may I ask where the respect and humility you were just talking about went?

FUTURE CHAMPS!!!!!
therealnathandrake 1 year ago
Well if your gonna produce a champion it is best to start training as kids. Same can be said for boxers wrestler judoka who had became elite champions or Olympians. I can tell the difference between a practitioner who's been training for a couple of years and ones who have been training through out there life time. Fighters will develope a natural since for combat being able to throw strike submit on reflex without even thinking for a second is something most martial artist strive to achieve.

how is this child abouse? im 15 and im pretty sure when i was younger id love to fight and do sports and i still do
this is a very deciplined way for these kids to do that
would you rather have them train in mma and do something they clearly enjoy
or would you rather them be another bitch on the streets always looking for a fight and getting into troubble because of fighting
mma needs to be taught more expecially in highschool
brandonmarable 1 year ago
Part 2. they look to enjoy this and having fun. HMMMMMMM how about that.
dbill28 1 year ago
This in not child abuse i am a hundred pounds overweight and l love it my kids choose to do martial arts i did not push them into it. Now if the kids are pushed into it well its a problem, just look at the situation who they are working out with some MMA greats guys that they seen on tv and so what if the dad started working them out at 18 months thats his choice and look at some the other vids. posted on the ruffo bros.
dbill28 1 year ago
@TheRydaddyops910 this is obviously child abuse, you should let kids be kids instead of living out your failed childhood dreams through your children. So what if i'm 100lbs overweight, I got that way because I just like to sit and I like to eat in peace. Physical activity should be banned in America because it makes some people very uncomfortable. Why not give everyone a trophy?? I think I deserve a trophy for being a good person even if I am overweight and can't play sports.

zam4688 1 year ago
@iratelyblank - Thank you for the good laugh, fat ass. You will be dead by 50 from colen cancer, heart disease, or just being a freaking loser. You don't get a trophy for being a good person. That is EXPECTED of you! You get trophy's for being the best. Don't be mad because you stuff your face with taco bell and cannot get off of the couch. People like you is why Americans are looked at like fat retards. LOLOLOLOL
EricTaylor1221 1 year ago
@iratelyblank thats your desicion to be fat and not like sports. did u ever think that these kids like mma? they obviously like what they do so u need to shut up
SuperPitbullMan 11 months ago
The child abuse comment is ridiculous but the comment about sissys is ridiculous as well. To me you sound like the dad that is yelling at every official because your kid is always right and everyone else is wrong. The country isn't turning out sissys, we're turning out a bunch of self absorbed kids that feel that they are ALWAYS right and deserve respect before they even know how to give it. If they don't get it, they'll beat it out of someone to get it. MMA is a great skill based sport!
