A lot of modern gamers bashing this game due to it`s graphics and difficulty. They are clearly too incompetent to play these kind of games, because of modern games. There is nothing wrong with the controls or anything, they are responsive and you can control your jumps. When you die, it is user-error, it has nothing to do with the controls, the controls were programmed really well. And graphics don`t make a good game, gameplay does.

How come there is no cooperative play in the new mega man games? It'd be great playing trough the campaign with one player as Mega Man and the other as Proto Man. And there'd be an op out feature if a part of a level only one person can do. The concepts been here for the last 20 years. I wonder why Capcom hasn't capitalized on it.

@GoodAlwaysDieYoung I'm not implying that there aren't any good games out now. What I'm saying is games back then were actually a challenge. Have you played Gears of War on insane? All you need is a sniper and some patience. I cleared Darksiders on apocalyptic mode on my first run without using a guide. To this day I haven't been able to beat Doom or Contra without using cheats. However, some of my favourite games are relatively new (Mass Effect, Arkham City).

i can honestly say that megaman has terrible gameplay. Of the one's I've played (2 and 9) I have found it extremely award to move and jump at the same time. A skill that is needed to get past anything. Add in trying to shoot while doing this and not taking hits? impossible. Doesn't help that there's a million enemies onscreen at once and stuff pops out of nowhere ti kill you. stop living in the past.

Personally, that's what makes it fun, the challenege. Games today ware too easy, especially shooting games. And it's awkward to move and jump at the same time? Have you ever played a game? Ever? Or do you stay stationed while you perform an action, while you move only when you're done? It's called dexterity, friend. If you don't want to play the games, fine, but don't belittle them simply because you suck at it.

@Chroenix The controls are stiff. And controls are important in a game like this. Mario has fluid controls, but then gives you an interesting level design. That's what makes a game challenging. Not where you can barely jump out of the way of half the stuff on the screen, and if you did, you'd just hit something else. It's not a challenge to beat that game, It's a miracle.

"It is HARD!" um.. I personally compare difficulty to I Wanna Be The Guy. And I swear, no amount of puzzle games, time management games and annoying glitchy games combined will match the difficulty of IWBTG. So in my mind I've always got a percentage of how much the hardest difficulty of a game is compared to the hardest difficulty and stress generated from IWBTG. To those reading this and haven't tried IWBTG, please don't, at least on the hard difficulty, because you will have urges to strangle

I think what makes the Megaman games so good is that they're timeless. 20 years after they come out, they're still fun to pick up and play through. Rreally think about the point of this game when you talk about the graphics and gameplay. Think about some of your favorite game from your childhood, depending on how old you are, let's say NES or Super Nintendo. Now think about that game going through numerous "reinventions" and "sequels" that don't match your joy playing the originals. Now picture a new installment that used the same mechanics that made you love the originals with new story and gameplay options. Nostalgia is a hell of thing.
