Used on the targets of North Vietnam instead of the South Vietnam countryside, would have ended the war in a matter of weeks. As usual here we are again bombing suspected enemy troop concentrations which was usually based on bogus or old intelligence.

@merobean We didn't 'invade' Vietnam. The North was aggressively pushing their regime on the South, who wanted no part of it. We stepped in to back up the South Vietnamese against an ideological invasion they DID NOT WANT.
It's funny that China and Russia both supported the NVA and the Viet Cong, yet they don't catch half the flak the US does.

Anyone who worked with the Americans, anyone with ties to the previous government, even people who happened to own a business, all were purged to make way for the regime. It happened in Cuba, too.
People today either don't know or don't care what happened after the US pulled out, I guess.
