What other superhero, besides the doctor, can truly dream of a normal death. For some, like superman, batman or spider-man they could find a replace, how ever unlikely, but the doctor can't so he can't stop.
This just reminds me of how amazing Doctor Who really is... the great and sorrowful, the haunting and bitter, the wondrous wonderful stuff, the whole universe.... just fantastic.
literally, blubbing like a child when this song played at the end of season 4. absolutely beautiful and unearthly. and the poor lonely doctor at the end, giving wilf the brave face but torn up with loneliness. i wish i had two hearts because one breaking wasn't enough.
Why do people always think of the scene at the end of season 4 for this song? I think it is best used when the Doctor is as John Smith and in love with that nurse in 1913 and they both dream of the live they would've had together if he was actually a real human and not a fake personality created to hide the doctor from the family of blood. It is very emotional, and at the end of that sequence he dreams of dying a normal human death, hence the name of this song, that is what this song is about.

This soundtrack reminds me that no matter how bad things get and no matter how much they put you down that you have to get up, be strong and move on.
