Yes, you are correct, it is a Christmas Carol, nowadays. However, it was originally an old pre-Christian Ukranian folk song, about a swallow bringing news to a farmer of the coming of Spring... but that aside, it is a hauntingly beautiful song, and Jennifer gives us a really uniquely pretty version here.
