@ESPJACKSONDEAN C# means 1/2 step up from C, Db means 1/2 step down from D...if you look at your guitar you will see that only one bar is between C and D which means its the same.
dude i need you to put a video teaching how to play Rise today of Alter BRidge...I've seen your "in loving memory lesson video" I learned the song because of your video...now I want to learn Rise today and I think you're the one to teach me..thanks dude, long live Alter Bridge!
Hey, thanks for this lesson. Its great. But, what would be the chords for the verse and so on? Everything i've found on youtube is the wrong tuning. If you could just tell me what the verse chord finger placements are, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks again.
anyway.. i'm just trying to get to know how the hell did you learn this song !? did you use the guitar pro tab you posted the link of ?? cause in that GP tab the tuning is as i mentioned too hehe... or did you see a text tab which said "open G tuning" and learned it that way ??
my GP tab says it's c# f# c# f# a# c# tuning.... if it is that tuning... got any ideas on how to pass esaily from standard to that tuning ???? and if it's the tuning in this vid (open G) then it's best i learn it in that tuning right ???so it's easier to tune down.... thanks anyway... hope you reply...
In your video description when you name the strings (Db etc.) you seem to miss 1?
And I also thought it was tuned down 1 1/2 step, not just 1/2 step, that would make it Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb doesn't it? well I could be wrong anyway, not good with notes -,-
Though u have played well ...try checking your tabs ... they sound a bit diff than the original 1s .. and plz lemme know frm which web site did you get it ..
thanks man i just didn't know how to play the hammer from 2nd to fourth at 3th string and then pull of from 4th to 2nd i used to do a hammer and pull of from 4th to 4th i mean 2 4 4 2 by pulling the string just once and it didn't sound well, i don't know if you understood me but thanks a lot man
Do you mind not putting people to sleep while your teaching???

Look on a keyboard. C# = Db or C sharp = D flat
They are the same tuning. If you don't have a guitar tuner than you should consider buying one. They are very useful.
higgyfogo 3 years ago
or you could just download one, for example ap guitar tunner
