So I really want this to work, but this role of Catwoman is just pointless, Michelle Pfeiffer blew it in Batman returns and Halle Berry screwed it up in the Catwoman movie, so it has nothing to do with Hathaway as an actress.

I just think Catwoman isn't a good character to begin with.

Batman the animated series was the best version of Batman. The Birton films were epis, but not the best version of Batman. Nolan's films are the best live action version of Batman, no doubt. I think Christian Bale is the best Batman yet, even with that growly voice (shoulda been dubbed by Kevin Conroy, but what the heck!) and Heath Ledger was amazing as Joker, but I dont know, Mark Hamill will always be THE JOKER! Anyway, excited for this movie, doesn't look bad.

With batman it is good to be realistic because if they are too much like the comic books, its like burton's films all over again. They are the best adaptions to the comics there has ever been. with Nolan, he reinvents the character to make him more real (in which I really like), but if you want the comics in motion the check out the animated series and Burton films.

To me the female characters have been the weakness of Nolan's Batman series. Now we have a crime fighter that relies on agility and martial arts while running around all night in 6 inch heels :/ I'm no world class fighter, but if me and 4 of my friends attacked Mike Tyson, I'd like our chances a bit more if he were in high heal boots. On the other hand, I think Hathaway is a far better female lead in every aspect as an actress.

I think the very reason Nolan chose Hatherway is simply because she is the most unlikely actress to play her, and think of the boost it will give her acting career from such a big movie from a prestigious director. He hasn't disappointed yet, but that doesn't mean he cant and wont. but I will leave my criticism until after I have seen the film. I personally love all of Nolan's movies. most, if not all of them struck lightning with ratings.
