Ozzy smiling through the intro, he's thinking "I am going to make a gazillion dollars with this guy". Randy resurrected Ozzy, he was more dead than Elvis. By the way, has anybody ever looked that good with guitar?
@BarryMedley WHAT????? How do you not know who that is? I knew right from the beginning because he was the greatest heavy metal guitarist ever. And the title says Ozzy Osbourne & Randy Rhoads
March 19th 1982 Randy died. 30 years on,still much missed and lamented. Randy was the most influential guitarist of his generation. I was 15 when he died and I still get goosebumps when I hear him play. Ozzy never topped Blizzard of Ozz or Over the Mountain.Randy was only 25 when he passed but he left behind an amazing legacy. What would he have acheived if he had lived. Thanks Randy and God bless.
You can really see, that Randy really has meanings and feelings with hes solos it not just random, notes, it so freaking soulful goosebombs all over body after hearing.
thats just inhuman, Randy was truly a rock god, not only did he play spot on fantastic, great and amazing! but he put his heart and soul into it every single time he picked up a guitar!!! it sucks that these other guys who play with ozzy will add stupid little shit parts to the work that randy did. way to discrace his music, ZAKK WYLDE!!!!!!!!!!!
dear god, put me vack to the 18970s so that i can live the rock era, before justin bieberstien is played on the loud speakers in my misic class at school
Oh boy, here we go again. A chronic case of dead celebrity bias syndrome. Whenever Mr. Rhoads is mentioned or rated as "ONE OF THE GREATEST EVURRR!!!!", it is followed by a reference to the Good Olde Crazy Train. Respect to RR, but do you know any other remarkable works of his? The same's with Cliff Burton, Oysten Aarseth, Kurt Cobain asf. No matter how great musicians they were, the implausible legendarity brought about by their demise is tenfold augmented.
@nyarlathotep989 You obviously have little knowledge of the matter if you think Randy's only notable work is Crazy Train. Other famous works include Mr. Crowley, Over the Mountain, Flying High Again, Diary of a Mad Man, Tonight, etc. Randy was big before he died and would have been just as big a legend had he lived.
@rjkahlon i dont imply that it IS his only good song. I say it is the only song people know to value. If you ask anyone aware of RR work what song first comes to their mind when Randy Rhoads is mentioned - what ll be the answer? That wouldn't be the case with Kirk Hammett, Slash, Hendrix, Malmsteen and/or plethora of other remarkable guitarists.
@nyarlathotep989 because those people didn't die after their 2nd album moron. I think "flying high again" is more notable anyway. Dumb conversation. This dude was a machine, maybe for the uneducated Randy was known for crazy train but anyone whose opinion I care about knows "I Don't Know, revelation Mother Earth and Goodbye to Romance" like the back of their hand.
@underland Well your pompous contrasting the "uneducated" majority of RR' fans to yourself, is really an eloquent fact. Mentioning the UNEDUCATED, I believe your immediate opting for the low-base profanity and insults in a discussion which completely lacks any hostility is an argument for the relevance of your "educated" statement. BTW simple YouTube view count and Search Engine results differentials between Crazy Train and any of the songs you mentioned... something something...
@SteveChandlerFTW im a guitrist...and to be honest i didnt find this awesome, i found this to be beyoND EVERYTHING awesome IN THE WORLD!! ppl should create a new word for randy to symbolize his influence in the metal world.
Look at how happy Ozzy is while Randy lays into that intro. When Randy died Ozzy clearly lost someone he cared for, respected and admired; what the world lost is immeasurable.
@Kurogasa55 You sure? (not trying to be rude) I mean, it looks just like him. Same mannerisms and everything. If that's not Sarzo, Daisley must be his twin. ;-)
@3impersonators Pretty sure. Of course i could be wrong. I always thought it was Daisley as this was recorded before the Diary of a Madman album and Daisley was not fired until after that albums recording.
@Kurogasa55 Just checked Wikipedia; we're both right. Daisley recorded the bass on the album, Sarzo played for the tour, and then Daisley came back for "Diary."
the biggest shame of this video is that there isn't an entire camera (or two) devoted to Randy - nasty riffs, lines, feeds - wotevah - he was a bad mo fo !
Randy deserved to die roasted like the worthless chicken shit he was. I just want to spend a month crapping in a corn sac and then go spilling the shit all over his disgraced crypt.
