  • Dude, I have solved the problem last week. It is actually due to the unable to write on the system drive. By allowing the system to be written at the setting, then header file can be generated.

  • @sanniezhuo

Wait a minute... are you working on linux?

  • I have the same problem. How did you guys solve this problem?

  • @sanniezhuo

I did not resolve it, because i never had it. :\

    sorry...

  • @myteksp So sad, it is ok.. I am still trying =( but still having the same problem. By the way, may I ask something? what OS are you using? thank you.. by the way, the video is really helpful for me as newly in jni :D

  • I did this video when i was a student. Happy to see its steal relevant and actually helps people :)

For this vid i used windows 7...

BTW if you figure out what was the problem, could you let me know?

  • @myteksp I see.. Hmm, I am using windows 7 as well :(

yeap, sure, if I figure it out, definitely I let you know^^

  • to help, the full error is : "Error: can't recover from an I/O error with the following message: MyJniClass.h (access is denied)"

  • That might be my problem, I'm running on Vista 32bit.

If that's my problem, do you know what I'd have to do to not have this problem anymore?

    thank you again

  • Great tutorial, most of the questions I had about JNIs were covered, thank you.

The only problem I'm having is when I try to use the command "javah -jni MyJniClass" in the command prompt, I keep getting an error that says "can't recover from an I/O error."

Do you have any idea why that is happening to me?

Thank you for the video again

  • @halleyhardiman

I have never seen this error.

However, if your class compiled properly and there are no problems like spaces in file patch, the only thing i can think about just now is that you are trying to use 64bit version of javah with class that was copiled by a 32bits java.

If i will find the exact answer - i'll let you know.
