Okay, be honest: how many of you watched Stargate or Stargate SG1 as a kid? Now, as a kid, how could you say no to a cartoon version of something that was just awesome? Bad or not, it was Stargate.
Also, I now know where Bungie got the idea for almost all their Halo ideas and equipment...

Now I will say, I liked the last season of SG1, why, because it was a darker story. Atlantis was a little darker then SG1, so I liked and hated it. SGU though, was so dark, similar to BSG, that I feel in love with it. I just hate that it got canceled when it started to get interesting.
@MusiqheadRadio i couldn't get into BSG, but i liked SGU as well, it had a lot of potential, i thought atlantis was kinda slow at first, the wraith popping up were almost as irritating as voyager with the kazon, but even that kinda got past it and had some great story lines
@TheWraith OMG, I agree, the Kazon dragged the story down. I loved everything after that. Though the end was clearly rushed. Well at least it had a ending, SGU didnt even have that. Unless you like endings that leave you guessing what the hell happened.

I never understood why cartoon military or paramilitary forces want their soldiers in bright, easy to see, non-uniform costumes. Ok, I know why from a marketing perspective (so kids can quickly find the toy they want to buy), but logically speaking it's stupid.

MGM was just too desperate to cash in some kind of profit from a new demographic, as such, they really didn't give the quality of the characters or writing much thought. Had they marketed this series to older teens+ it might have been better.
Stargate the Movie-A great starter for a greater series.
SG-1 An awesome science fiction, one of the best. 10 Seasons.
Atlantis-started during SG-1 Season 8. It was very close to SG-1 and basically almost a complete copy of it. 5 Seasons.
Universe-Took SG to a new level. First episodes were bad(it took 2 episodes to do nothing but recharge the ship).The series was still awesome though. 2 Seasons.
i watched this when i was five and i loved it if it wasn't for this i never would have watch sg1, sga, sgu, or even the original stargate movie i don't know why everyone hates it
@TheTunderbolt13 That's probably because you were introduced to it from a young age, I myself am only 17, My love for stargate started when my dad came to me with a video tape one day when I was little and said "I think you'll like this film." from then on I have been obsessed with all things stargateapart from infinity, I think for most SG fans it's because they have this franchise that they love and then they see it tarnished and turned into a childs cartoon, and a pretty bad one at that.

Check it out, i`m sure you`ll love them as much as i do.

@huntedead1 Stargate Universe sucked. Atlantis was better, and that isn't saying much. SGU was slow paced, dumbed down, too character focused, and not action oriented. SG1 didn't need sex appeal, it stood on its own as an amazing entity. SGU relies too heavily on soap opera tactics, im not a flipping 13 year old girl.

@huntedead1 I watched season 1 of SGU, I don't recall anyone important dying. The only plot developments in the ENTIRETY of SGU season 1 is "oh snap were trapped on a ship, this ship has a hole in it, were low on food and water, advanced aliens attack and now theres a couple more holes in the ship but the ship still works fine, the end."
Its way too slow paced, too much of a soap opera.....there isn't enough exploration or interaction with aliens. That is what makes SG1 good.

Okay this was about a crappy anime...so why are the commcent all about SGU? Or most of them? Personly on that one SGU sucked too me cause I didn't understand how it tied to the series besides the stargate someone explain too me please.
Now on to this video...this was nothing but a spin off that they tried too see how it would work. Sadly they picked bad on the plot and character so it sucked but what can you do.

@huntedead1 Stargate Universe sucked. Atlantis was better, and that isn't saying much. SGU was slow paced, dumbed down, too character focused, and not action oriented. SG1 didn't need sex appeal, it stood on its own as an amazing entity. SGU relies too heavily on soap opera tactics, im not a flipping 13 year old girl.

@huntedead1 I watched season 1 of SGU, I don't recall anyone important dying. The only plot developments in the ENTIRETY of SGU season 1 is "oh snap were trapped on a ship, this ship has a hole in it, were low on food and water, advanced aliens attack and now theres a couple more holes in the ship but the ship still works fine, the end."
Its way too slow paced, too much of a soap opera.....there isn't enough exploration or interaction with aliens. That is what makes SG1 good.

LOL ... SGU IS A GREAT CONCEPT .. actually a pretty genius way to go with the story, as long as the writing hold up its going to be around a long time. because it is a "good show" .... to say other wise and dismiss it outright shows a lack of sophistication in your thinking..
