This is FAKE I have balance protection and when i lost my job they waived off my $500 maxed out credit card which I was not able to make payment on. I don't know any bank that does that today other then TD. They saved my credit history!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
& we are now in the process of getting a refund...Thousands of Canadians have fallen victim to this before us...We are the first to have caught it & are making the banks pay for their corruption...Watch the news...Canada is getting a regulatory body for Securities...That is because of us...Watch who you call dumb my friend...
We only caught this charge because we stopped using the credit card for two years...But we had a balance...After two years of absolutely no charges, it was the only new charge...It was finally all by itself...My husband caught it actually...It was the only way we could see it, was when it was all by itself with no other purchases...It is almost impossible to catch which is why it took so long...We are not dumb, we are very very smart...Which is how we caught it...
I in fact had my husband check all my credit card statements for safety in those 7 years...The words balance protection were all that either of us saw...It gets printed at the very bottom of the statement & looks like a non-optional bank fee...The number is a percentage, not a recurring number so it doesn't not look like an optional fee...meaning, the number changes...It looks like it also could be the interest charge...It has been designed ESPECIALLY to NOT be noticed, on purpose...
* did you know that credit card insurance does not come up on your statement at all if you don't carry a balance? So, for example, for two & a half years, I did not carry a balance...So say I checked my statements intensely for those 2 & 1/2 half years? Nothing would come up on the paper that I even owned this product...Nothing...At all...Then, if you do carry a balance, it gets printed on the statement at the very bottom...Does it say the word "INSURANCE" ? NO...It says "Balance protection"!!!!

You're dumb. You should have checked your statements in the past 7 years. Maybe try keeping track of your finances.
