  • The guy at 4:15 must be on break? wtf?

  • @balcrstephens Nah, just Union labor....

  • When is Airbus going to launch their copycat?????. Well i guess Airbus is busy making a delivery mess with the useless A380. Makes me wonder how many airlines today who has orders in the A-380 want to cancel them and buy the 747-8i Dreamliner instead. I guess most of them.

  • @Sooksawaspakdee961. Maybe, but Lufthansa are feeling a bit lonely as the only airline to order the passenger version. To be fair though, it's the best large freighter.

Since the 'Airbus copycats' pioneered twin jet widebodies, they've got every right to produce a 787 competitor. Don't confuse 'competitor' with 'copy'. Both companies are responsible for numerous innovations that's driven aerospace technology forward and they're both due credit for this.

Why do you think the A350 a 787 copy?

  • This plane will save the airline industry.

  • i wonder how the carbon fibre fusalage - will hold up after a few thousand cycles

  • @MASTERRACE19 Well, it should fair well since it's stronger than aluminum and doesn't corrode

  • I love 787 now! This plane uses GEnx engine that makes it quiet!

  • hahahahahhaah when your infront of the engine its still noisy!!!!!!!!!

  • And Rolls Royce Trent 1000!

  • you're

  • Wow!! I'd like to work there!!

    Thanks, nice recording!

  • My office is at 0:40 top floor right next to those big orange pipes. It's truley is awesome to work there, working our asses off but it will pay off soon.

  • I just started work on the project down in Charleston, SC.

  • how interesting! how many hours do you work?

  • im loving the thought of 787s right now.

anyway, the sound of that drill around 2:25 sound like a dog begging. lol.

  • What is the floor in the cabin made out of?

  • What you see in the video are just temporary floor boards.

  • I know that, but is it also carbon fiber?

  • No, the temporary floor boards are just some type of wood with a special covering. Those come out soon after. And replaced with the permanent floor boards.

  • Yes I know the temporary ones are wood, Im just asking what are the real ones made of seeing how much weight they support.

  • I am not 100% sure on what the permanent floor boards are made of but do know that most of the weight they hold are due to the frames below the floor, not just the boards themselves. I will see what I can find out for you.

  • I don't knwo if i am answering your question but a lot of the 787 is made up of composite materials such as carbon fibre.

  • One big question... Why in the world would a company waist its money knowing that the result of its investmente wouldn't work?

Of course this plane will fly!! Otherwise, Boeing might as well would have brought up another plane design from scratch. This plane will fly.

  • yeah it will fly besides it is made of plastic!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • To freestate 12: What maks you think it won't fly? It looks like Boeing is mass producing them now and I doubt they'll scrap the whole project at this point. Who cares if it's been delayed a little, it's still coming and it will FLY.

  • I am in the aviation industry it is a well known fact that they are having massive problems with this plane. When it was rolled out it was held together with temporary fixings, and they are having to deal with constant re-designing still at this stage.Airbus had problems with the A380,but it made its maiden flight on time!!

  • Actually no it didn't it was a couple of years late on its first flight according to the original schedule. The 787 will fly by years end.

  • Its maiden flight was on time, about 6 weeks after roll out.!!!!! The first delivery was delayed. The 787 was rolled out over a year ago still not flown.

  • Boeing is Boeing, someone would have to be an idiot to think their plane won't fly... call me a nut but I think they know what they're doing, and their history shows it...

  • @cheshire03 Looking back from January 2012 . . . it flies, it is beautiful in flight, it is more efficient than any plane up to this time, it has a huge number of orders (even in these recessionary times - or maybe especially in these recessionary times).

  • your face is a disaster

  • sorry?????

  • Boeing has done it again, right vision at the right time. This thing is going to beat the pants off of Airbus, especially if fuel prices keep climbing.

  • @Jimbo898 I think this is gonna have more success than Airbusses doubledecker. That half the world's airports can't hold coz of it's massive size, and fuel consumption. This can land in any intl. airport, and saves more fuel and is cheaper to fly by.

  • The best interior layout I've seen period. No ardrox for the structures and hell no sounds of riveting. An avionics person's dream.I love this aircraft. Flight deck layout really reminds me of 777. Come on beat the crap out of airbus!
