  • 6:37 "for now at the time being" funny pleonasm is funny :))

  • @SkilledBubbleHD they work on rb1 and rb2. im not sure about beatles rb or rb3.

  • man that could hurt some one 6:35

  • I bought some of these on ebay and the red one doesn't work, I'm gonna do this in reverse order and a re-assemble it to see if it works after.

  • i'd custom paint the rims/mesh rings to the according colour

  • @nhoodfan The paint would come off quickly and make it look cheap and crappy.

  • But let´s see, for Guitar Hero, the drums alone are like $99, plus this is $129, so $230 Ion´s are $249... I don´t know, for like $20 more it´s seems to be better. Is the ION that cool? How about the cymbals? Do they tend to fail as I have heard?

  • @bahsura Yes the Ions are better. Being that this review is over a year and a half old, GoodWood's products have fallen off greatly!! I think the Ion has stood up to the test of time. I have had mine going on 2 years and I have had no major problems. I had one pad that went out but was replaced by Ion. I have upgraded to the Mylar pads. The Cymbals could be better and is the weakest part of the Ion kit. However you can upgrade if you wish.

  • are you sure it comes with screws? it doesnt say it does on the site and i really need different screws

  • mine didn't come with screws, what do you need the screws for?

  • my original screws are striped

  • mine did come with screws

  • do you have to replace the rings?

  • i think only the mesh!

  • i have a question anyone my pads will not come off no matter how hard you pull them i got the kit today its a rock band 2 drum kit for xbox 360 is my kit a different kit or something please help!

  • it will just pull it hard

  • i have a problem. the blue pad connection keeps coming loose and the pad wont work. is there any way to fix it??

  • do they work for ps2?

    i realllly want some :)

  • they work for all game systems but dont do it if you have those fancy branded beatles drums

  • hey man i was just woundering if the sensativity is good with these?

  • the inside of my drums look different, theres no little orange piece over the sensor or foam on the pad, the foam is surrounding my sensor

  • do theses work on all kit types like EL QM's etc..?

  • yes. both versions support all versions of all drumsets.

  • will good wood mods work with ps3 or just 360

  • they work on all kits im thinking about buying them

  • oh im probably just gonna end up buying the ions for 200

  • both

  • it'll work with any system

  • I'm confuised is there a diffrence cause when i looked at goodwoods the middle is a lot more visible

  • 1 yr anniversery of this vid

  • Got mine today. Shipping to Australia was reasonably quick. Haven't installed them yet, but super stoked (no glue on hand...).

  • how long did it take coz i live in australia

  • Was shipped around July 30 (possibly that day or the 31st) and arrived the date I made that first comment which I suppose was the 12th of Aug? Two weeks then.

  • i have an EL and i'm GOING to get goodwoods for them.

  • if they are rock band 1 drums the really drop i just bought rock band 2 and i think they are better than goodwoodmods and yes have used both i HATE the huge rims

  • Im happy with my Ions but if the Good Woods work better then them reply.

  • nope they drop:( the connection thimg is loose for els

  • i have an el and my set is completely fine now with the good woods

  • well i dont know i fc stuff left and right and these drop like crazy i am sending them back and getting ions

  • i ordered goodwoodmods then saw a comment that said el model stock will drop with goodwood will it?

  • no u should be fine, the good woods come with new sensors in them, so dont worry

  • nice shirt eminem baby

  • FTW, Ions just look cool

  • can you put goodwood mods in a rock band 1 drums?

  • yes you can

  • thank you!

  • why does the yellow look different?

  • Comment removed

  • is this the same way for the ghwt drumset?

  • how long do these drumm heads take to get bad

  • really soon

  • is it the same process as the v2?

  • Are good woods better than ION drums ?

  • goodwood can't be adjusted any way you like

  • is that on the rb2 stock kit?

  • rock band 2 wasnt out at the time but it seems the same

  • god i love his voice lol

  • the goodwoods pads already come with the sensor into it,right??

  • yeah (:

    really good ones

  • so you recommend me the goodwoods to play better rock band because some people told me that come faulty the pads but goodwoods support told me that the new version doesnt have any faulty

  • I prefer Ions, i have played on goodwoods and I didnt enjoy playing on them.

  • yup the new version is with nice bigger thicker sensors and are almost guarrented not to break on you remember you get a 3 month warrenty and a week to return for full price

  • What happen if my green pad is broken and tore apart. Will still work if i glue it or something?

  • The goodwoods replaces the entire pad, as long as the 4 rubber connecting 'feet' of your green pad are ok, the mod will work perfectly

  • can i use krazy glue

  • GWMs are better with heavier sticks. i went to best buy and got some 5A sticks for like $3 and there nylon tips so they dont crack and scratch the rb2 drumset, until i get the GWs

  • Is there any way to prolong the life of the mesh?

  • lol saw you in the blog your 14 right? hahaha im 15 with the same questions

  • lol yea

  • There is no way. I have to keep contacting them to keep sending me new mesh heads. I'm gonna send my set back now for repairs from the pads cracking.

  • would you say the good woods were worth it? like pros and cons wise

  • GWM made a new set.haven't tried it yet. Apparently they aren't giving discount to the older buyers, so once the new ones are in, your old ones can no longer be repaired. my set was nice when I first got them, but now they are crap. I hate having to replace mesh every two months. I want a set that I can play and not care about fixing anything. I also noticed that you will lose its sensitivity once the mesh loosens, so after a week of new mesh your sensitivity goes down. Thats what I think.

  • so i geuss the goodwoods are cheaper for a reason then :/ i dno i live in canada so by the time shipping and tax and everything itd abe like 200 bucks..so with an extra 100 you might aswell get an ion i suppose right?

  • Yessir. I am definitely thinking of getting Ions. I will probably sell the Goodwoods and save for the Ions. My cousin has them and they are the best.

  • use a nylon tip drumsticks and it should increase the mesh life about 3-6 extra months

  • where can u find nylon tip drumsticks

  • you can find it at any guitar center or any place that sells a wide variety of musical instruments including drumstics

  • any decent music store, where it says stick size look for an N, example---7AN instead of 7A

  • Where do you get the stock drums for RB2 (or RB1)?

  • gamestop or GAME(UK)

  • gamestop store or online or GAME(UK) store or online?

  • what about the new rockband 2 drums the ones with foam on the stand not the drum?

  • why is the goodwoodmods website down?

  • Its up now.

  • The wholes that he precut on my goodwoods are so small and hardly deep at all, I'm having to forcefully push the screws.

  • im having the exact same problem, im beginning to get really frustrated as i only have a normal screwdriver to forcefully PUSH my screws into the GW's.

  • Got mine in with a different screwdriver, to find that the pads drop just as many notes as the normal rb kit -_-

  • does it work on rock band 1 drums?

  • those are RB1 drums

  • how did you pull out that connector so easily? I rubbed alcohol allover it and it still won't come out.

  • do they ever crack? or get damaged

  • Mine never has. However if you smack the wood by accident you will notice that you will get dents. This is to be expected though.

  • i jus got mine and they are dropping notes and look shitteir theres chipped wood and shit on the yellow pad

  • Haha, where did you get them?

    The website or ebay?

  • You know things does happen in shipping. After all of the things that are shipped to me, some show up damaged and I have to notify the company. I would let Rich know and I am sure he will take care of you.

  • Yea I just got mine, theres chipped wood in the green pad. I hope it doesn't drop notes once I get it set up.

  • Wow. The yellow pad drops like every third note. This is bullshit.

  • your stand may be fucked, you never know, ibphs pads were fine but his stand was fucked so it didnt work so he got ions

  • hey can you tell me when goodwoods will be back on sale?? thanks :)

  • I have no idea. All I know is what they have posted on their site.

  • With the side of the Good Wood Mod' s cannot order man more meher

  • would this work for rock band 2 drums? because mine are messed up and im looking for an alternate drum set

  • why isnt the site working, I wanna order these

  • it doesnt matter what game consle right?

  • Correct. All of the drums are built the same the only difference is the connectors for the different systems.

  • ok thanks, but I have one last question, if one of my pads is broke, like cracked and the sensor of the middle of the pad doesnt work but the connector still works, can i still get the goodwood mods for my drums?

  • they should

  • you will be fine, the gwm set has it's own pad and sensors

  • God I wish I had the money for these. So far, ony can get a value pedal.

  • the foam is in the el kit not the qm

  • do these work for the wii drum sets for rock band 2.

  • where do you get the good wood pads?

  • The address is in the video info.

  • do you need a certain type of rockband drum set? like certain model? becuz i have ps2 version and the drums dont look like that with the wire...

  • All models work. The EL wires will look a little different then the QM, but they all disconnect and connect the same,

  • hey man i have a big question for you. i tried to take my pads off, but when i couldn't get them off for these, (which i tried to take them off before i decided to order, which i have not done, yet) i noticed there were like holes at the underside of my drums. will that be a problem? because they look like they are screws holding the pads in the kit. will that be a problem at all or will it come off with a little extra force? thanks.

  • is there some sort of warrenty when you buy these?

  • Rich gives a 90 warranty

  • Hey im sorry ill put it in better words how much did u pay for shipping cena because i live in la as well and i wanted to know how much u paid

  • how much is the shipping for this because i live in la and i was wondering if the 30 dollar canda shipping applies to me.

  • considering you do not live in Canada, I would assume that the Canadian shipping charge does not apply to you. :)

  • can you do this on wii drums

  • Yes GoodWood says they work. All of the drum models are the exact same.

  • how much is the shipping for this because i live in la and i was wondering if the 30 dollar canda shipping applies to me.

  • It is done by zip code for US orders. So it will depend on where you live in relation to GoodWoods. I think my shipping was like $10.00

  • sweet thanks when you are taking off the drum heads do theyk sometimes break or is it realy easy ??..??

  • The head it self will not break, but if you pull too hard then the wires or connectors will snap. So you have to tug firm but not too hard.

  • can you do this mod for the rb2 ps3 stock drums??????

  • Yes because all of the stock drums are built the same.

  • thanks man

  • wow you look just like teddy long but you sound like john cena

  • Hey, I have the EL set, im wondering, can you even use rb2 drums for this?

  • Yes they do.

  • Ok thanks, im watching a lot of your videos, its just addicting, lol. I just ordered my goodwoods last week, and im so amped for them to arrive. And today I ordered the destroyer pedal.

  • Yeah, i have the same problem, can anyone tell me how to get the drum pads off a Rock Band 2 EL set?

  • hey, i have a rock band 2 set and was wondering if you get the pads off the same way cuz im pulling on it pretty hard and they're not commin off

  • How do you know what kit you have?

  • it says underneath the kit on the right hand side...its very small lettering too....

  • Ok thank you.

  • how much does the pads cost by them selves

  • i got these for christmas and they are about 169.99 with the tax and everything and shipping and handling =)

  • my blue pad cracked under the grey pad crap would i be able to take it off, repair it , and put it back on easily? I keep missing notes cause of it =_=

  • Would I need the foam pads if my drum set is an EL model? The foam is on the drum stand instead of the drum heads.

  • 6:04

    THATS WHAT SHE SAID!

  • so the struts come with the four pads?

  • Yes the struts come with it.

  • How do you take to Rock Band 2 drum heads out because they are screwed on?

  • They are not screwed in but held together by Rubber feet. You have to tug firmly on each side but not too hard because you do not want to strip the screws.

  • I tried pulling it hard once but it didn't want to come out but I'll try again.

  • PLEASE HELP... (again)

okay i go tmy goodwoods finally but they didnt come with the screws i need to screw the feet into the wood or w.e. i really dont feel like waitint and gettin them sent to me. does anyone now what kind of screws they are. (size and all that). thank you very much to whoever answers.

  • You can also use the screws that you take out of the feet from the RB pad as well.

  • HELP!!!

I pulled my head off to see if this would work. The pad does not go back on. They are all in the right slot! Will my set work with the GoodWoods?

  • what kind of set do you have?

  • You have to make sure the feet are aligned with the holes and press very firmly. You should feel the feet pop in.

  • PLEASE HELP!!

my piezos (im pretty sure there the adapter tthings that you pull out and put the ones goodwood gives you in. are glued in and very hard to get out. i didnt get my goodwoods yet due to the long S&H time but i tried to unplug them several times and feel like i am going to pull the whole thing and brake it. theyr really stuck in there, what should i do.

  • use pliers. they will come out just fine

  • that big bang comment by you (hbk1101) my have been the best response ever.

  • Im buying the GoodWoods mod for my ps3 drumset and i play expert drums and want to improve so my ps3 drumset does not look like the Xbox 360 drumset on the inside i dont even think it has the plug all it has is alot of wires like a green and a red one.... plz i need help

  • ryans143 it will work the conectors are the same

  • yo dude do they have this for the wi drumset?this looks really awesome and I wanna get these.I just need to know if it'll work on my wii though

  • Well recently we just got a GoodWood Set, and we modded our Wii drum set. It works but is super numb. GoodWood Mods says that we got a defective one. So we're sending it back to see what happens (Right now we coin modded it)

  • Does this work for Wii? My little brother and I are getting it and we have Wii.

  • it works for all systems you pull the pad off unplug the stock pad plug in the good woods in push the good woods so instead of the stock pad you have the good woods on. all system and all types are the same size same wires.

  • will this work with the first set?

i have one of those and it's pretty different.

  • Just want to make sure this will work with EL Set as well. Might look at getting these if I decide against the ION set (which I am SURE you will be reviewing) hint hint hint

  • Yes they work on the EL. However I have been told extra care is needed as it appears that the EL kit's sockets are glued in.

The Ion kit Review? YEPPERS. My kit should be arriving today:) If you looked at my schedule you can see I am a couple reviews behind due to testing. So I will be trying to turn those out later today.

  • Looking forward to that. To be honest I'm probably gonna go stock RB2 kit and wait for the velocity sensitive GoodWood mod, but I'm still very interested to hear your opinion on the Ion kit after a hands on.

  • if u buy them do u have a choice or is it just all the same

  • They are all the same at this point.

  • That's pretty sweet but I don't have any money..

Also I posted on another video of yours that I might get something like this for my b-day, but that idea didn't go as planned. Oh well, not like I really needed anything. Just a "Happy Birthday" is enough for me. ^^

  • That is an SL kit that you are starting with.

  • No it is a QM kit. I have not had the pleasure of getting my hands on the SL.

  • so the ones that your putting together are ones you have to do yourself but the ones you used before were the ones which they did for you?

p.s. thanks cena you helped me a lot

  • Yes that is correct my friend:) The Plug n Play is not longer made.

  • i ordered the plg n play though because it costs 100 & something dollars and it says on the website that there is only the plug n play ones? just let us know what's you think might be happening? thanks Cena.

P.s what do you think of that big bang theory (black hole experiment)???

  • I think that is old and I will contact them about that. From what I understand from them everything now is the the DIY.

Big Band theory? I guess my stand point on it is this. There are things that are meant to be left alone and things we are meant to discover. If we have not discovered it by now and we have to go through a lot of trouble to get the answer, then the good Lord must not have wanted us to know. :)

  • i was just wondering cena if these are the same as the goodwood stealth mesh heads or are these a different model?
