another use i found is on the Fridge. My fridge door never stayed shut, put a few magnets between the frame and the door (above the cheap magnetic strip), and now it even keeps my little siblings out of it the door stays shut so well

about the last one with the tools. That's not very functional because when you place a magnet on a steel object, then you magnetize it permanently..

Not all tools should behave like magnets..

Imagine you hang up there a metal file.. Then when you use it to file metal, it will fill with metal dust.

Great question - The gloves, of course, do not stop the magnets but they are smooth inside and actually allow me to get my hands out when 2 magnets slam together. Without the gloves the friction is too high to get my fingers out and as I get them closer to the edge the magnets get stronger and stronger. The pain will become more intense. The gloves keep the situation manageable.
