  • Actually I take that back, it's not just nice this is an epic dime collection. Probably one of the best in the country.

  • It's beautiful, very nice.

  • Wow Rob,that 42 over 1 is worth about 6 to 800.And the shine on the 1937 S was real nice.I really enjoy all your videos!!

  • Nice collection

  • Wow, I have a Liberty Dime from the 1945 year! I wonder what it's worth is? And can anyone tell me what the letter under the year stands for, I forgot? Well, I hope the little coin collection I started as a child may have some value in it? =)

  • @italianicebutterfly it worth its value in silver that coins mintage is 159.1 million!so is a VERY common date its worth around $3 but if he gets ur kid gets into it now by the time be is an adult he will have a pretty nice collection ive be doing to since i was 8 so ive been doing it for 7 year now!and there is no letter under the date mark and the letter would be a mint mark and it is in the back of the coin...but there is the designers initials on top of the date.good luck

  • i enjoy seeing all your videos, because they are very historical.

  • You should definitely get the 1916 d certified.

  • you should keep that all in a giant safe

  • I recently got a Mercury dime in change at a liqour store, the clerk was an Indian dude who spoke little English, I saw there a Merc in the change he handed me and he says...oh so sorry thats Canadian, I said thats ok.... I walk out and looked at it and was stunned to find it was a 16-D in very good condition...did a little happy dance...sold it to a local coin shop for $1300.00

  • @lawnsausages bullshit!

  • @furyfigueroa1753 No actually a lawn sausage is dog shit. But anyway, is it the onset of Tourettes or do you take umbrage in something you know nothing about and just like to interject yourself or maybe you are jealous of the laptop and this cool executive's chair I spent the money on? I kmow! you're the Indian dude! SUCKER!

  • @lawnsausages wow u just made no fucking sense!at all!

  • @furyfigueroa1753 I will use small words and talk slow for you... I was hoping that you could put up a good fight. That we could have a battle of wits, but I see you are unarmed and a nitwit. Here I will save you the trouble of looking up nitwit in the dictionary, I am sure it is hard for you (hope I'm talking slow enough.)

    nit·wit [nit-wit]

    noun

a slow-witted, stupid, or foolish person.

  • @lawnsausages bitch i dont have time for this bullshit on youtube, think about it ur fighting ON YOUTUBE wtf....really?suck a dick and die bitch!

  • @furyfigueroa1753 I'm not surprised, classic bully. Give a little push to test the reaction, then realizing you're way out of your leauge you try to make it look like the other person started it. Did you learn anything? I doubt it. I have time if you want to continue looking stupid, or you could be smart and go back down to the basement and play video games, kill stuff that'll make you feel better. Mom will bring you a PB & J later, no crusts. Pssssttt... she wants you to find a job and get out.

  • @lawnsausages classic bully?wtf ur trying to make ur self look smart?buy trying to play off as on of those guys 'you know im out of ur league' guys, and btw i dont need a fucking job dumb ass im 15 years old i dont need to worry about that shit and maybe u r an old fuck living with ur mother?are u?well all i said in the beginning was bullshit, cuz i mean who the hell finds a 1916-d in change....no one!so screw u guys im going home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA UR A BITCH

  • @furyfigueroa1753 This is too sad. I have to be careful what I say here. I watched your video, that and your aggression makes it pretty clear what is going on in your life. You are being bullied. You are small for 15 (my 13 year old is bigger) and no doubt a target for the big kids. I hope your parents are aware of what is going on if not you should tell them and get the help you need. Some kids have a growth spurt at this point you could grow 2" a year and end up 5' 6", that would be great. G/L

  • how much money did it take to buy all thoes mercury dimes???

  • my dad had a complete collection of mercury dimes, and a couple of barber dimes but someone stole them...

  • Thanks!

  • @robmarlowe you should put that 1916 d in a more protected place

  • i have one and never saw one before i got it and never saw one after lol

  • Beautiful set! This is truly the hobby of kings! It must have taken a while to put this together. Thanks for sharing it. I've been working on my Mercury dime set on and off for the past year. It's a lot of fun!

  • From what I gather the 1916 mercury dime is worth a lot of money.

I recently found one in my belongings. What is your estimation of the value of one in good condition?

  • @ExoticCalli like $1000 u know u can look it up online, all of these people ask these questions when there is a thing called GOOGLE!

  • even 1916 d?

  • how much where the uncs?

  • i have the 1921 and 1921-d :)

the best ones in my merc collection so far

  • Thanks, I've been collecting for about 12 years.

  • Now those Liberty dimes are very nice Rob. Congrats! You have a nice set.

  • nice collection

  • my god man. you have one hell of a collection. forgive my language but i've been collecting for 10 years and have nothing close to that. and i had a good start with mercury dimes having all dates post 1930's to begin with

  • Comment removed

  • Why is the 1916 D so sought after?

  • because there was very few minted.

  • @moleman1961 they made roughly 264,000 of them and if your unfamiliar with quantities of coins that were made that is very minuscule.

  • @WizzyFilms Thanks!

  • @moleman1961only 264,000 were minted that is a very low mintage....

  • Very Very nice. These and the Franklin half are my favorite coins. I only got 1 Franklin and no mercs atm but I just started collecting again. I wish I had my old coin collection back. I bet that took you a long time to get complete.

  • do have any uk coins dated 2009 1p 2p 5p 10p 20p 50p £1 £2

  • Nope.

  • @michaelslammer who the fuck cares about uk coins?

  • thats not a winged liberty head thats the roman god mercury in greek hermes

  • Even though this coin is called the Mercury Dime. Its design is the Winged Liberty Head dime. The wings symbolize Liberty of thought or freedom of thought.

  • i thought mecury gave you cancer

  • They are made from 90% silver not Mercury, silly.

  • It would be a very runny coin if it was!

  • Fantastic collection.

  • robmarlowe - I just bought a 1909 S VDB Lincoln Cent in Very Fine grade with nice toning for $1225. I was able to urge my dealer to get a better grade 1916 D mercury dime so I got a 1916 D graded in ANACS slab Merc in Very Good Condition quite similar to yours with every germane lettering on obverse and reverse very legible and the "D" mint mark is extremely legible! No smearing too! I will pick up the 1916 D soon and take it to the safety deposit box with the 1909 S VDB!!

  • Nice!

  • Holy fk, you have the 16 D and 21 P&D.

How much did you pay for the 16 D and 21P&D?

  • Sorry, I don't remember. It has been a few years but I do believe the key dates are very good purchases.

  • i have a 1941 mercury dime, is it worth anyting?

  • $1.50 - $2.00

  • daank

  • Very nice coins....I got some coins also on my Channel.... I don't know if yall like toned silver coins though.

  • Awesome set!

Do you have any 1932 D quarters? I had 4, sold one on Ebay. Did you get ahold of any of the new silver 2009 Lincoln PCGS MS70 coins? I seen them for the first time for $129 on the HSN and looked to ebay to do me a deal. I got one for $122

I also have 4 rolls of the new Lincoln pennies.

  • i have almost a complete set....my grandfather collected them all by hand (didnt buy them) about 40-50 years ago

  • I went ahead and put a whole complete set on hold with my dealer. I'm only a little disturbed that the 1916 D Merc in this collection that I'm buying seems to be a AG-3 and not a "Good" condition coin as he claims. I'm paying about $1200 for the whole set. My dealer has been a great blessing for me though. That 1916 D is pretty worn down with the "smeared" look protruding deep all around the obverse and more notably reverse of the coin throughout the surface diameter. What are your thoughts?

  • G-4 and AG-3 aren't really a big difference in grade and it is tough to tell the difference. A G-4 coin should have slightly worn rim but most of the edge should not be flat. That price really depends on the grade of the 1921 coins. Especially the '21-D. I've never bought a complete set of Merc. Dimes as I put mine together so I don't really know if that is a fair deal or not. You could always check with other dealers after you buy the set. Just make sure the dealer will accept a return.

  • cool you have the 1916D dime there rare.

  • your collection is awesome, my oldest mercury dime is 1935

  • Are you a "type" collector? I envy your complete "Mercury" dime collection. I got a 1916 plain Mercury dime several weeks ago from a snack shop. I have hundreds of these dimes myself. If I recall correctly I believe the bust of the Mercury dime was that of the wife of Adolph Weinman. What's your favorite numismatic collectible or type?? Do you have a 1899 $5 Indian Chief silver certificate?

  • I like all types of U.S. coins. I do have a type set and it's probably my favorite. When it's finished I will post a video. My favorite US Coin design is the Heraldic Eagle Draped Bust with Cap $10 Eagle back in the 1790's. I always wanted the Chief. It's a beautiful note. I wish I would have bought one when they were somewhat reasonable but I have never really been a big paper collector.

  • I initially wasn't a big paper money enthusiast myself but American currency is booming right now. Every year for some 3 years the numismatic values of many notes just seem to keep ascending in value. Do you have an American 1857 Large penny? I have one that I bought like in 2001 for some $16 in Fine Grade and nowadays it books for $200 in that respective condition. Coin collecting is a FUN avocation I have to concede to that!

  • I don't have one of those cents for 1957. Sounds like you got a great deal on yours though!

  • how much was the 1916 d, the 1921, and the 1921 d?

How much would you sell them for

  • Sorry, I'm not interested in selling any part of my collection. You can look at a price guide to find specific values of coins. I recommend "A guide to United States Coins." by R.S.Yeoman.

  • I bought these a while ago and I can't remember.

  • your collection is nice how much did you pay for your 1916-D and the 2 other keys i forget i think 1921

  • im starting a collection of mercury dimes so im looking at how u have em arranged nice collection btw! OMG how did u get the 1916 d?

  • I bought it raw at a coin show.

  • sweet im starting my collection i got almost all of em just missing a few most of em are BU. I started long ago and now im trying to finish it because I got the dansco album as a present

  • O I see, I thought the sticks were the bands....thanks for the explanation

  • hey, nice vid...

it was cool to see them cartwheel as you panned.

When you made the comment that FSBs are too expensive, we were seeing some '30s coins that look BU up front...Where those not full band coins?

  • Full split bands are the sticks and bands on the reverse of the coin. The bands holding the sticks together must be completely separate in order for the coin to be a FSB coin. These are unusual for some dates and common for others. FSB coins are better coins because they are a stronger strike and most desirable to collectors. The collectors usually pay strong premiums for these coins in dates that are rare with FSB's. A coin can be uncircualted but not have FSB's.

  • whats the difference between a 1916 and 1916d...I found one today, care to share.

  • The 1916 has no mint mark. The 1916-D has a mint mark (D) on the back of the coin at the bottom left of the sticks and bands.

  • Cool, mine is just a reg, 1916...check out my video...and you can see it.

  • is that a REAL 1916 d because if it is its worth 900 in good 1500 in vg 2000 in fine and it just keepsa going up id say urs is worth about 1000 THAT IS IF ITS REAL

  • Wow, even the much vaunted 1916-D! Nice collection.

  • Very good collection you've got there. I have one question though, do you know how much a 1916 Mercury Dime is without a rim? I have some Mercury dimes that I compared to this one, but the others have rims.

  • Not sure what you mean by without the rim. If you mean the rim has worn to the field of the coin then the coin is an About Good or lower. A common date such as the '16 would only be a few dollars. If it's a '16-d then I'd say around $500.

  • nice collection mine is almost complete all of them are BU just need the 16D trying to find it BU but if not possible ill get it best possible condition i can find it

  • sssssssssssooooooooooo if have all of the mercury dimes, whats the face value?

  • $7.90 is the face value.

  • Nice to see a collection that doesn't have anything missing. Mine still is missing the 16D and 42/41. Will have them someday hopefully.

  • i have a 1942 one

  • nice collection.

  • Thanks!
