I hate that Jimmy died. He was one of my favorite Smallville characters from the minute he first appeared, and in this moment I feel like he really came into his own in the biggest way... just hours before his tragic and horribly unfair death.
I liked Jimmy so much. He was cute. And he admired Clark even before he knew he was the red blue blur. I mean he called him C.K., how cute is that? He so didnt deserve to die. Damn you Davis! Clark should have killed him...

@rebal180 Not to rain on your parade but Pete does exist in the Superman comics. He was Clark's friend in Smallville and he ended up with Lana, they had a son. They explained Jimmy death which made sense. Jimmy was never the same age and Lois and Clark so Aaron Ashmore's portrayal was wrong from the start. His younger brother, also named Jimmy, was at the funeral. Thus our "true" Jimmy Olson.

they almost always did an excellent job of letting certain characters know Clarks secret and how they would react to finally hearing it from Clark. Bravo Smallville!

This music was written by LOUIS FEBRE not mark snow. Febre has been the credited composer of seasons 7, 8 & 9, and is now working on season 10, but he's been an uncredited composer in seasons 1 through 6. He wrote much of the music in the pilot, as well. AND the end credits theme starting season 7.

Awesome!! No hesitation, no doubt. That one line tells us everything we ever needed to know about Jimmy. Of course, it should be a tipoff that he's gonna die too.
This was a watershed moment in the show's history. It was an inspirational and memorable moment that made me stand up and cheer for Jimmy for the first time since he had been on this show. Chloe's mistakes got the guy killed. I don't rule out a brief appearance for this JO when the final resolution for the current storyline is revealed. Jimmy shouldn't have died for Chloe's mistakes with Davis in Beast.
@foreveralive I don't agree. The show made it clear it was both Chloe and Clark's mistake. If they followed Oliver's plan, things would have ended differently. But on the other hand, if Ollie hadn't hired Jimmy to hack into Tess' computer he wouldn't have been in the middle. He wouldn't have known about Clark, he wouldn't have brought Chlo and Davis at the Watchtower.
Chloe should have let Clark handle the whole Davis/Doomsday issue though. That was his fight, not hers. But Clark...
@foreveralive But Clark, as usual, doesn't wanna get blood on his hands. He made the same mistake with Zod. Trying to save the bad guys instead of getting rid of them. The Zod storyline could have ended worse than it did.
Anyway, we can't blame one person for the whole Davis fiasco. Mainly Chloe and Clark are responsible for it. And the writers used it for the Chlark scene in the first episode of season 9.

In the show, this Jimmy dies, but at his funeral they give his name as Henry James Olsen. The Jimmy in the comics is James Bartholomew Olsen. There's a younger brother who shows up at the funeral and Chloe gives him old Jimmy's camera. So if that kid grew up and went by Jimmy, it would make him the right age cause the one in the comics is much younger than Clark and Lois.
BTW, Pete Ross was Clark's boyhood friend. He grows up to be a Senator, Vice President and marries Lana. But he wasn't black.

It's kinda weird that Jimmy is holding in the kryptonit, still Clark is able to walk towards him and give him a friendly clap on the shoulder!
I mean, in "Commited (or whatever the episode was called)" Clark couldn't do anything (when he was stuck in the chair with Lois). Though the villan was far away, and only had a little clock of kryptonit.
I LOVE this scene. Aaron played it out well just like a school boy admiration. I have to point out that the score isn't by Mark Snow; he hasn't done it for a couple of seasons now. It's by Louis Febre.
I don't really think this is supposed to be a sad part of the episode, but i was balling :(. Its was an emoitional scene. Wow i feel weird saying that

@betts3985 I noticed maybe not in this scene but he does call him CK & the plot to Smallville is completely different to Chris Reeves & Dean Cains version of Superman because the Clark character didn't meet Lex until he worked in the Daily Planet.

@Martyn6452 tha'ts true. i forgot about that....meeting lex before he was supposed to kinda thing. hmm....so does that mean that smallville version of superman Jimmy Olsen dies...i mean...in a way, they met at the Daily Planet where he was supposed to it was just early and before he was superman but was the red blue blur. I guess it could work. wished he hadn't died though. he was a great character.

@betts3985 Yeah pretty much & Allison & Sam's characters were never in Superman so they added there character Chloe & Pete, I hope Allison never leaves Smallville she + Erica are Awesome but besides Tom Welling, Allison is my fave character

@IMnotGarbage Really? I don't read the comics, but from what I read then added the Characters Chloe & Pete just for Smallville rather than him growning up crushing on Lana and getting partly pwned in some scenes

It's kinda weird that Jimmy is holding in the kryptonit, still Clark is able to walk towards him and give him a friendly clap on the shoulder!
I mean, in "Commited (or whatever the episode was called)" Clark couldn't do anything (when he was stuck in the chair with Lois). Though the villan was far away, and only had a little clock of kryptonit.
