  • It gives a JumpNrun Patch, but i know one only in german.

  • This was done by myself.

    The German JumpNrun path was made with the ID field.

    This was done with just coordenates.

  • How in the heck did you manage to create the jumping algorithms on RM2K?

  • Just like most games like these it lacks proper physics.

    Example: Jumping is ugly.

    Hitting a question mark does not make you bounce back.

  • That's because people don't normaly want realistic physics in platformer games.

  • Do your homework. Just about every platformer around (The Mario games included) are using "realistic" gravity, meaning that objects (like Mario) decelerate when jumping, reach zero speed at the highest position, and the accelerate until you hit the ground.

    Also, you usually bounce back when you hit something so you can't hover for a bit and hit several question mark blocks (Watch 1:05)

    That's what people want, and that's what I meant with realism.

  • Well that isnt actual realism that's semi-realism because the whole mario umping 2stories defies physics in it's self.

  • Stop talking talking irrelevant bullshit. You know just as well as I do that a game is more comfortable to play if it has the kind of "realistic" jumping that I was describing.

  • that's RPG Maker :P, it is impossible to do anything with proper physics in it. I still find the author work impressive considering all the limitations though, but personally I would rather either code my own or if I don't want to code I would make one with Gamemaker
