British Petroleum has caused this disaster! Not the Jones Act! The 'Jones Act" has not hindered the oil cleanup. The government has already stated they are will to expedite all waivers related to the Jones Act if and when it would be helpful. They already have foreign flag ships operating as part of the cleanup.

The people in the segment are local parish elected officials with no expertise or training.

I think BP has created a disaster of monumental proportions! I think the people being interviewed know very little about what is involved with putting a qualified vessel into service cleaning up the oil spill. Admiral Allen is doing a very difficult job with BP lying about everything from inspections to financing the cleanup. BP is to blame!

Even if there is NO NEED for these foreign vessels or more US oil skimmers (hard to believe), suspend the Jones Act for now and at least present the APPEARANCE that everything possible has been done to attempt a clean up while million of barrels of crude continue to spew into the Gulf.
