I loved this movie, and so did the author. All you crap-faced freaks that hate it should just shut the heck up and get on with your already-wasted lives. And they are only wasted because you say that you hate this movie! Saphira was beautiful for the movie and her scales, in my opinion, were the right color, and all the character designs were good! All the mistakes in this movie could be easily fixed and the casting was great. The best part of the movie, though, were the special effects!!!!!!!!!

The movie sucks! They skipped a lot of events! Seriously! Eragon found Arya when he was captured! He didn't go looking for Arya! And Arya was unconcious! Murtagh, Nasuada, Orik... All the characters that made the book good were taken out! Saphira's form sucked! HEr scales are supposed to glimmer, and gleam! They completely changed Farthen Dur! What happened to the wins! @toxicitzi Movies normaly do good at following the book and still taking it short but Eragon seemed cheap. A good exmple is Murtagh being held in a wooden cage just out side the front. Or the lack of blood and gore described CLEARLY in the book witch clearly was not ment to be PG. They failed at making the Beors left out entire races (Dwarves) and added blonds and 1 black guy so the movie did not seem racist. They should have went in parts and not 1 gun it movie.

of the books there are currently 3.
1 - Eragon
2 - Eldest
3 - Brisingr
there is a 4th book coming (maybe this year) but no name for it hasn't been released yet

The special effects and the dragon were awesome, but the history was bad written =/ it's sad that they aren't going to do a the "Eldest" 'cause I'm a great fan of the books, but at least they could try to do a better movie next time.

it isn't the same person, Jeremy Irons plays Brom and Hugh Laurie plays House. (I think that is how you spell Laurie, but it could be spelt differently).

17. Murtagh shoots Durza in between the eyes, not eragon in the forehead.
18. Durza doesn't hurl weapons with magic

the werecat plays a gerat role in the book. also, very important: i think it´s brom who says (in the film): "galbatorix wont rest until your dragon is killed." completely wrong. galbatorix doesn´t want to kill her, of reasons i wont mention here in case there´s someone reading this who haven´t read the book (;

1.Saphira without scales? but feathers? I call hax
2.What kind of piece of crap is the fortune telling part? all that happens is this weird hippy covered in jewels says "Would you like angela to read your fortuyune?"
3.Arya=Supposed to be in a personal coma type thing+pointy ears cuz she's an elf
4.Where the hell are the dwarves?
5.Eragon vs. Durza is supposed to be when eragon stabs him in the heart ON GROUND. Durza has no dragon
6.Galbatorix's dragon is black not red.

Some reasons to remake:
1.) they took the urgals waaaay to far, they are just supposed to be beasts with horns...
2.) Brom is supposed to be old T.T
3.) The gedwey ignasia isnt even silver... wtf? It means shining palm... in the movie it just looks like a deep cut... plus they name him like silver hand or something in the book...
4.) He doesn't battle Durza on a dragon he battles Durza on the ground while Saphira is in the dragonhold with arya
5.) I didn't think murtagh would have black hair
